  1. Character Name: Xorra Level: 55 Faction: Republic Class: Sage Specialization: DPS Your Age: 44 Mic: Yes Time Zone: PST
  2. I'm not sure either, but perhaps it lights up when you use "X" key to come to a complete stop?
  3. I love those close matches too. The Imps on have pretty much stopped queuing on the Shadowlands server. I played 15 matches last night and only one was against imps and they lost 1000 to 7 with only two kills on their side. Of course, Shadowlands is an east coast server, and I was playing from 5pm to 11pm PST. Maybe all the Imps play earlier than me. Can't wait for preferred and f2p to get in so the pool is larger.
  4. Hey, Good job getting this out there. Everything looks right except.... The gauge you have labeled as "computer power" is actually for the throttle. It slides to the top when you press the "W" key, and down to the bottom when you press the "S" key. In your screen shot the level it is at is the default throttle setting.
  5. Can you give us some more context? Such as what ship you are flying and if you know what ship they were flying? The best way to stay on someones tail is to hold down the "S" key to slow down, while using the "A" or "D" key to turn your axis toward the little red triangle at the edge of your HUD that represents who you currently have targeted. Then mouse that direction. This allows you to make a tight turn to bring them back in front of you. Then hit your space bar to boost after them if they are just rocketing away from you, and chase them down. If they are trying to loop back to get on your tail, keep holding the "S" key and track their movement with "A", "D", and mouse. This can get you looping round and round, each chasing the other. Scouts fare best in this situation with their better maneuverability. However, this can get annoying, and you are both easy prey for someone else to come along and blast you while you are chasing each others tails. At this point in may be better to just rocket out of that particular dog fight and find some allies to mix in with to get the guy off your tail. Also heading for a satellite captured by your team is a good place to lose someone on your tail. You can loop around the satellite while the turrets blast away at whoever is chasing you. It is also good to determine if chasing someone down is the best course of action in the first place. If you are in a Strike fighter trying to chase down a scout they are going to be able to out run and out distance you in most cases. Smart Gunship pilots with stay near their base ship and try to lure you back with them so you get blasted by the base ship turrets that can one shot you easily. Anyway, that's enough rambling for one post. If you give more info about a specific scenario we can be more specific with advice.
  6. I have noticed this too, but I am on the west coast playing on an east coast server. Usually when I am getting the 8v8, it's pretty late at night for me which means it's very early in the morning on the east coast. Also it may have something to do with most people having progressed beyond the 8v8 bracket and needing to fill downward from 12v12 to get 8v8 brackets to pop. Not sure if the matching system works this way or not.
  7. Basically they are separating each 12 pilot side into four pilot squads. They aren't so much highlighted as just differently colored so as to differentiate one squad from the next. Only really applies in the context of folks who are entering a battle in a group of four.
  8. Medals appear to be tied to achievements. So if maxing out your GSF achievements is important to you then medal will be too.
  9. This is a very good question. I would like to know the answer too. All I know is that I have to be hitting inside the little red "lead" circle at the end of the short red line leading from the enemy ship or I ain't hittin' nuthin'.
  10. In your hanger screen you can move your 'preferred" ship into the number one slot where your available ships are shown at the bottom middle of the hanger. Just click and drag it over to the number one position and that is the ship you will be in once you get to battle pre-screen. Once you get there if you want to change your ship again you can just click on which one you want to change to and that is the ship you will actually be flying in once battle starts. You can also change ships mid battle. After you get killed you can change from scout to fighter or gunship.
  11. I usually just aim at the same "lead" circle that I aim my laser canons at. Or you can just aim right at the ship itself. The firing arc for the pods is pretty small in the default base load out. This can be upgraded but it never gets too large. There is no lock on for these. But be careful because you only get like 20 of these to start with and if you spam fire them too quickly your are left with only blasters. At least until you are killed/Kamikaze for a re-spawn with full ammo again.
  12. Yes, it is the "rested" indicator not ship number.
