I was sent an email that it was probably my dynamic IP address assigned by my cable company. HELLO?!!! DOES ANYBODY KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CABLE PROVIDERS AT BIOWARE?!!! The largest cable providers in the US use a dynamic IP address. I used to work for one. Its part of the way they keep costs down.

Blizzard just donated 2.3 million dollars from the sale of a vanity pet in WoW to Superstorm Sandy relief. Why can't EA/BioWare do this? They already have the mechanism in place. All they would need to do is create the pet and offer it up. It would be easy.

It happens once in a while. They probably found something really wrong and needed to fix it. Could be anything from a card being bad to something failing a ready test. At least they're not as bad as WoW used to be. I remember some of their extended maintenances... ugh. (although they finally did get better)

I have no problem with F2P. And I'll keep my sub going. They're giving me something for my money. That's all I care about. They may have to re-open some of the old servers to accommodate the flood of new and returning F2P players. That's the only thing I can think of.

1.2 will drop on the 10th of April. On SWTOR's Facebook page, they're doing a preview week of 1.2. They wouldn't be doing this 2-3 weeks out. So its the 10th.

I doubt SWTOR will EVER be Free to Play. Subscription based is still a viable option. And subscriptions go up and down in between content patches. Please remember, we've barely hit the 3 month mark, and we're at 1.7 million subs. Plus, we've had one content patch already, with another huge one coming in the next 2-3 weeks or so. Sub numbers will bounce up again after 1.2 drops. Its ALWAYS like that.

2am maintainance is an industry standard. it is based on where the company or where the servers are located. Most likely the company. If they're in Central Time, its 3 am East Coast, 12 am West Coast. Its an industry established time. common procedure. Nothing to see here, people. Move along, citizen.
