  1. Well until ArenaNet announced the beta for their GW2 64 bit client I had no idea that they were even considering such a thing. It would be nice if the same happened with swtor and we can only hope that Bioware have similar ideas but given past evidence I am not going to hold my breath on that one.
  2. I have been away for a little while so started a fresh imperial agent with 4.0. All I have done is the class quest and enough heroics to keep me on level for the planets. Not touched the planet quests at all as I have no interest. I am in the low 30's so far and not had any issues being at the right level for each planet nor being under geared thanks to the heroic drops. / shrugs
  3. Sorry I failed the psychic class at school so it was somewhat difficult for me personally to know if this was a design decision, bug or something else. All I saw was vendors missing with no explanation until now several days later why this was the case. So how are we supposed to know where to address our concerns in those circumstances. The change was poorly documented and poorly communicated to your customers and caused obvious confusion and frustration. This is not the first time either and as always it boils down to communication which is sadly a lesson that Bioware seem to have some difficulty in learning. /sigh.
  4. So what colour will you be picking? For the dye I mean, if you do intend to dye something.
  5. Heh yeah I noticed that too. Perhaps its a hidden story line, an intergalactic trouser thief who will take over the entire galaxy using his amazing trouser stealing skill to hold us all to ransom. We must stop this bounder at once, you may take my freedom but for goodness sake gimme back my trousers
  6. The insta 60 is only a solution if you are happy to skip the class story so not really a solution as that is the bit folks want to experience. And playing the planetary quests is OK a couple of times at most but it is still means you having to repeat content you don't enjoy to play the stuff you do. Now a lot of us have experienced the fun that is 12 x makes things its going to be a little rough to step back from that. Still think the best solution is to offer it as an option on the cartel market for about 1000 coins on a per character basis. I would also make it so you can not buy on gtn so only way to aquire is cartel store, money in the bank for Bioware.
  7. With the way KoFE story content is set up and how a good number of people want to seem to play the rest of it I would argue that this is a single player game with optional mmo content (I.e. group raids / content) rather than a full fat mmo. Though to be honest what you label or call the game doesn't really matter as far as i am concerned unless you are a swtor marketing guru. On topic, folks just want to play what they find fun and if that is just the class stories then I think you should be able to buy 12 x xp from the cartel market on a per character basis. I would say 1000 cartel points would be a fair price as it is a fairly heft boost to the gameplay experience.
  8. To get this back on topic so it doesn't get locked as it is important this issue isn't forgotten I already cancelled my sub and though EU maintenance wasn't the main reason I left it was certainly a factor in my decision to leave. I suppose as I came from RIFT & EQ2 (both of which I am going back to) I was kind of used to having EU friendly maintenance times and it is kind of shocking that Bioware hasn't followed suit. Getting any patch a day later at a less inconvenient time is not a problem, at least as far as I am concerned. Indeed at times it is a blessing as RIFT has proved on a couple of occasions when things didn't go quite as expected when the patch deployed to the US servers. Trion were able to push out a hotfix for whatever issue during our scheduled patch time a day later. Which of course meant no disruption to the EU players. It became kind of a running joke that the US players were our patch beta testers Think on that after the fiasco on Ilum. Sadly my faith in Bioware to deal with this and other issues has sadly been diminished somewhat hence why I am leaving. I do wish the people who are staying the best of luck and I hope that this will be among the many issues that Bioware rethink in the future.
  9. Sadly despite saying that I was going to stick around earlier in this thread I have changed my mind and decided to leave (indeed I have cancelled my sub already) The sole reason for my leaving is this broken mechanic that effectively makes every server a pvp server, which rather defeats the purpose of me rolling on a pve-rp server as I wish to avoid open world pvp. I may well reconsider resubscribing again should they every mend this exploit but while it is still present I won't be
  10. Posted this a few times in topics like this: This is what Bioware expect with regards to open world pvp in a pve/rp environment (read the underlined parts.) I would like all the people who are defending this exploit to explain to me how any of that applies to the op's situation. He wasn't asked if he wanted to pvp, he wasn't in a designated pvp area and he wasn't pvp flagged. Someone used a broken mechanic to grief a player on a pve server, plain and simple. It's irrelevant that there is no lasting harm done, other than a few credits for repairs and assuming that you a lucky enough not to be spawn camped, only wastes a few minutes. The plain fact is this is a broken mechanic that is being exploited and people on pve/rp (who likely rolled on those servers to avoid this type of thing) are the ones that are having to suffer because of it. End of story.
  11. I just cancelled mine about five minutes ago due to the pvp force flagging issue that is on the client. I am a little sad as I honestly enjoy the pve aspect of the game but it has no place for me while force flagging is possible. Oh well guess I will have to visit youtube to find out what happens with the bounty hunter story quests
  12. I am glad you are enjoying the game, as indeed I am for the most part, and I am also glad that you have not been affected by this issue (and it wouldn't matter to you if you were, apparently.) I have been affected by this issue and "I" think that the mechanic that allows this needs to be removed. That is my opinion, you clearly have your own, so at this point before things go too far I am going to agree to disagree with you. Thank you for your input on this issue and as you say "each to their own"
  13. Um sorry but now you are talking rubbish. On PvE servers there are designated PvP zones, there is one on tatooine for example, where you get a nice 10 second countdown warning you that are approaching a PvP zone. I think its safe to assume that anything outside of those areas in meant for PvE
  14. Um so you are saying a lack of response from a wonky CS team trumps what Bioware themselves have written, No I don't think so Also please explain how this is not an exploit as defined by Bioware's own support pages, which you conveniently ignore.
  15. Ah ok so I am supposed to be aware of and see the yellow tag of the stealthed player. The two times I have had this happen to me was when a stealthed player walked into my aoe while I was fighting 4 mobs (which is the max I can currently managed.) It says in the PvE server description, and I quote "player-vs-player fights must be agreed to by both sides or conducted in PvP-designated areas." Where in the above example did I get to agree to the fight? (oh an I was in a normal pve area) Or are you saying that I agreed just by logging into a pve server and playing as normal? If so then what is the point of differentiating the server types? Oh and as an aside I did report both people for exploiting and no I have not heard anything as a result of this.
