  1. Simple, MMOs went from being a niche genre that attracted the D&D/RPG type player personality, into a mainstream hipster filled pile of trash. Blame WoW, they pushed it into mainstream and made all the little hipster kiddes come running.
  2. No, I do not like the current state of SWTOR. In addition, I cancelled my account yesterday as this is NOT and MMO. This is a massive single player game with a multiplayer option that is poorly implemented. Being able to play story quests and not see another person for hours at a time does not feel like an MMO. There is no guild bank/halls/quests, nothing to promote a community feeling or a co-op experience in your guild. I am very muc frustrated on the horrible pain in the *** experience of trying to put together a FP group from 1-49. At 50 it's a tiny bit easier, but not by much. To make it worse, what little community time you do get exposed to is primarily sitting in the fleet. Fleet chat is nothing more than a neverending nerd raging troll fest. The only interacting I really get is in guild chat, and that's about as interactive as have KOTOR opened in windows mode with a Yahoo chat room opened on my 2nd monitor. So much wasted potential, it really makes me mad that I followed this game for 3 years. I'll probably check in, in 6-8 months to see if any improvements have been made, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

  4. words words words...keep going, it's the hip thing to do, right?
  5. /yawn Is that what the sheeple at linux told you to say? Honestly, it's horrifying how much viral media influenced you.
  6. LOL, oh yes, my OS is a "problem". How rich....did you know you can configure Vista to run with as small of a memory print as XP Pro 64? No? Guess what, now you do. NEXT, please.
  7. And this solves the original problem how? I run this game on an 8GB Vista 64 system, I've watched the two processes take up 1.4 million bytes memory and 500k memory or more, respectively. This game is a memory hog and has glaring leak issues.
  8. You're dealing with a purist here, they wont believe anything that wasn't in episodes 4-6 no matter what anyone (even George) says.
  9. Ouch, that's some major ownage. /highfive
  10. The Jedi Order in the films were just one incarnation of the Jedi Order. Over the millennium the order has come to the brink of destruction and reformed several times. Each time with new leaders and new traditions. The council of the clone wars period seemed especially prudish when it came to love. They deserved to be destroyed.
  11. Luke Skywalker/Mara Jade is another good example of Jedi who loved. All the Organa/Solo children had romances and were all knights. Hell....I think 1/2 of Skywalker's new Jedi academy's founding members were married....
  12. Yes, my server used to be heavy/full EVERY night. Now it's standard at all times. Even on the Fleet there's markedly less players. In the 50 planets there's very few players. Leveling an alt is like play in a ghost town.
  13. Thank you very much. They really should have finished the game before releasing it, oh well at least the players have found work arounds for now.
  14. On the level 32 mission where the agent fights Darth Jadus, he's so horribly bugged that I cannot shoot him unless I stand on top of him. If I move away from him at all (even if he's 2 meters in front of me with nothing between us) I get "cannot see target". My companion cannot attack him at all, and if I try to lure him away from the bridge at all he just glitches back onto the bridge and reverts back to 'cannot see target'. Anyone else having this issue or had it and figured out a way to get around it?
