Here is a hidden design decision by the developers that cost my guild the GF Comms this weekend from a 16 man run of DF. I quote from my ticket and the customer service reply "
11/28/2014 - Completed a GF run of DF and did not receive the 30 comms. The group was queued for a replacement at the time and only had 14 members for the final boss fight. When we dropped the boss no one received the comms.
Here is the customer service response:
11/29/2014 SWTOR CSR:
My name is Colin and I'm a customer Service Representative for Star Wars: The Old Republic. I've been looking into your ticket # 14545594 in which you advised us that you did not receive the bonus commendations for running an operation via groupfinder on the 29th. Following my investigation though I can see that this is the case I'm afraid that it's actually been caused by your group re-queuing to find replacements (dispite the fact you completed it without). In order to receive the group finder bonuses you must queue for a group and then complete the flashpoint or operation in question with that group, re-queuing even if for replacements will detect you as starting a new run which you then may not be able to receive the rewards for as you are already locked out for a few bosses.
Unfortunately in these instances we cannot replace any lost commendation or conquest points as currently this is intended design for the group finder rewards on the part of our developers..."
So this is by design, but there is no notification or warning to the group leader that if he re-queues for a replacement the GF comms will be forfeit. Maybe this is to protect against an exploit, or it just simplifies the GF reward rules for the developers, but I strongly object to not receiving the reward after a couple of hours of play with no warning or explanation short of putting in a ticket.
Please be warned that if you build a full 16 man group and someone drops DO NOT re-queue for a replacement.
