  1. Hey there, I've got an odd question, I suppose. I used to play a lot a while back, and so I've got a bunch of achievements, and an existing legacy. I'm currently playing on a completely fresh character, and I'd like to do everything, every lore object, quest etc. on every planet. Is there an easy way to track this? If I could reset my achievements I would. Currently I'm going through Hutta, and I have previously, at some point done most of the stuff on a different character, so it's difficult to track what I'm missing on this new main of mine.
  2. I disagree - I love pvp and I think arena has a place, but it is by no means a positive experience the way it is now. Not for me anyhow.
  3. This has probably been suggested before, though I couldn't find anything. Thought it'd be nice and liven up your strongholds somewhat, and add some depth to the legacy system. Just a thought.
  4. I understand. But from perspective; I would rather sit in queue and hope for an 8v8, than be stuck in an arena. I have lost count of how many arena matches I've had tonight where atleast one player has left before the match even begins. I haven't left a match myself, but I assume there's a deserter debuff that prevents you from re-queueing for some time. If these people are only queueing for the 8v8 and get put into arenas, then they are effectively throwing the matches for the people who enjoy arenas; and prolonging queues for everyone. Personally I'm hoping for one queue button, with an added checkbox to toggle on or off arena.
  5. From my experience over the past week, either one team completely steamrolls the other or theres a team lacking a player or two. From what I can tell a normal warzone with 16players can start when there's 4 players on each team. Which is the same as an arena match, yet there's only arenas popping in the evening. Not a single warzone. I can appreciate that some people like the arena playstyle - that's fair. But from my experience there's a lot of people leaving before the arena match begins. It's been happening every other match I've had tonight and I'm guessing it's because they don't want to play arena. Why else would they join and leave in an instant. I don't know. There's been a surge of players coming back since the game launched on steam and there's obviously something coming for the 10th anniversary that might attract new players. Just thought I'd bring it up while waiting for another arena to pop.
  6. Thanks for the replies, guys. Just thought I'd pick your brains and see whether there were any CPU's on the market that performed well with SWTOR. I realize how heavy it is on the CPU and I'm shopping for a new one anyways. Haven't been paying attention to hardware news for the past year or two. That being said, I've got an i7-8700k @ 4,4ghz and while it's supposed to be fine with SWTOR, the game still grinds to a halt in Warzones, or even Flashpoints. Any new ways to increase the FPS that have been found in the past few years? :-)
  7. Hey, going to invest in a CPU and thought I'd ask here for a reccomendation. Haven't played in a while, but I recall having perfomance issues. Currently my CPU is outdated, so I'm investing in a new one. Any pointers would be much appreciated. :-)
  8. One of the main gripes I had with this game way back was the optimization issues, and it is still very much present. I'm running an I7 4,5ghz, gtx 1080ti, 16gig ddr4 ram - an ok rig, and the gameplay is silky smooth in certain places and super choppy in others. The stuttering when mounting/dismounting and using certain abilities is particurarly offputting. I'm not holding my breath for any improvements but I do wish for them to atleast try to optimize the engine - even if it's a major task. I think the game has a lot to gain with better marketing and a more optimized engine.
  9. Truthfully I can't see why a summary couldn't be written. Speaking from someone who appreciates both ways of communication.
  10. Hi there, would it be feasible to add a sound on/off toggle on decorative items added in the strongholds? There's a lot of items I'd like to use that I can't stand the sound of and turning off sounds alltogether just because I'm headed to the Strongholds wouldn't be the same.
  11. Hi there, I would also very much like to join on my Sentinel called Nhine. I just picked up on the game today and I haven't played since 2012 or '13. :-D
  12. That's good to hear. My computer was high-end back then, which was why not having the option to use the cinematic textures was so frustrating.
  13. Yeah, I'm in the process of downloading it at the moment. I don't really remember at what time I left, I just remember people going nuts over the fact that you couldn't use the textures they'd be promoting the game with. Like when you'd enter a cutscene there'd be a milisecond of when you could see your character in textures way better than the best ones in-game. In regards to the combat responsiveness the community was completely torn, I remember some people saying they didn't experience any lag whatsoever and didn't see the problem, while the rest (myself included) had some major issues with it. Anyways, I guess I'll be checking it out tomorrows, gonna be fun.
