  1. Talking about making the weapon of class less specialized. Each weapon would be usable by each class, even if there are some that would traditionally use a dual lightsaber, they could choose to use the lightsaber staff or the single lightsaber. The references in most other games it that the dual bladed lightsaber is not often used as it is difficult to learn, if someone wanted to use it as a Jedi Knight, then that should be up to them not limiting the dual bladed lightsaber to a councilor class.
  2. Hoping that those my character have a romance with will not be removed.
  3. I honestly thing that it would be better for the game to remove weapon restrictions from the game and allow each character to use what ever weapon he likes the best. This would lead to more versatility in the characters. I do understand that only Jedi/Sith were allowed to use lightsabers, this would still be required, but they could use dual wield, or single and shield/focus, or the dual bladed lightsaber. Possibly make a skill tree for just a specific weapon style that people could choose to take.
  4. My only hope is that they finally deal with the dark jedi that are still treated as jedi without problems. Canon should not allow for a jedi so corrupted by the dark side of the force to be allowed to live by other jedi.
  5. Can I point out that in the movies, Han Solo used a rifle(though not well) during the escape from the death star with princess leia. In the role playing games, smugglers are not able to use rifles, no big loss here. Bounty hunters however were using rifles a great deal in the movies. In the scene that shows all the bounty hunters on the star destoyer, all of them are packing rifles.
  6. Folks, stop feeding the troll. Making kits uable on others would control this issue. Nevermind.
  7. This is a known bug, and its happening more and more. I made a character and got them up to the point of getting crew skills. I opened my menu one time and had 4 skills, the next time I was back at three.
  8. Customization: For those that like to craft, I wanted to pitch a request that the Dev's work on allowing the crafter to choose the colors of an they make, even if its from a palate. most of the items are three colored. It should not be difficult to allow the player making the armor to hit the three colors for specific looks. It would help alleviate the problem with everyone looking alike.
  9. While I know this will probably get flamed, I want to post it for the Dev's to look at and see if its possible to put in. Ships. While I like the idea of having a ship waiting for me, I however do not like the idea that its not the only one I can ever have in game. There are three ship types per side. I have been on three of the ships, as a bounty hunter and a smuggler, got their own ships, and a jedi let me board his ship. Ideas: 1. Let us customize the ships. Not just put things in the slots, but be able to put in a coat of paint on the walls. I mean, that rusty look on the smuggler's ship is ok, but after the clean and fresh look of the jedi ship, I want to be able to clean my ship up and give it a paint job. 2. Make more ships available, If we cannot change the look of the ships, at least let us be able to buy(in game credits) a different ship. 3. Better option, put in a corporation/planet that has ship design facilities. Go in and have them build you a new ship, using the base design of your old ship. 4. Give us the ability to take a ship hull, and change the inside with different parts, smuggler wants more area for cargo, so they remove a wall and expand the cargo into the hallway.
  10. On an orange weapon, blaster or lightsaber. If you replace the barrel (for blasters) or hilt (for lightsabers) you upgrade their damage. I have run across a few orange blades, usually dark blades, and after removing the mods cannot RE them. I have not tried putting anything back in to RE the blade. Someone made the comment that they would like to see the ability to convert a weapon/armor that you like the look of to Orange(without stats) I like taht idea, but think it should go a step further. Any item in the game should be able to RE. As armor comes so readily that you would get a lot of supplies quickly, I also think that the color changes the chance of getting supplies. White 25%, green and above normal. So buying up a mass of low level gear and RE the pile would not supply you with everything you need to armor out your character. It would however make the few weapons you get RE to get you enough mats to work up your skills.
  11. The crit slot(augment) is not the color crystal. If you watch weapons you will see some of them fire red bolts, blue, green, yellow, yellow with black outline, high end crystals supposedly have other colors. This is the color crystal. Pre-order people received a yellow with black halo crystal(+4 end). Its quickly going to be ditched when the color crystal gets outdated, stat wise.
  12. On a weapon you get 4 basic slots. color crystal(can have a stat boost) Barrel/hilt (blasters use barrels, light sabers use hilts) Mod (actual name here.) Enhancement. On armor you get three basic ones. Armoring Mod Enhancement When you make a very good modle of an item its considered a crit. In regular gaming terms if your roll is good enough, you crit. The fourth/fifth slot. according to some sources the affection of your companion (this has not been clarified) and their skill bonus can aid your rolls. So if your going to craft using synthweaving, make sure to use a companion that has a bonus to synthweaving. Depending on your class depends on the companion you will want to have do the crafting. Sith Warrior gets Jaesa Willsaam who has a +5 synthweaving crit bonus. Sith inquisitor gets Ashara Zavros who has a +10 synthweaving. Jedi Knight gets Kira Carsen who has a +5 synthweaving critical bonus. Jedi Consulor gets Nadia Grell who has a +10 synthweaving. the rest dont get anyone with bonuses.
  13. Like I said, I have never gotten an ornage recipe. I have orange items, and they only have three slots. That one has 4, so I am going to surmise that the person crited on crafting it. yes, modding an armor or weapon can be removed for a small fee, or just replaced. The problem is that only other stuff you have can take the old mod. Example, I have an ornage vest made with three slots, the armoring mod is outdated, I can pull it out and put that mod into the new pants I made, but its still outdated, but better than nothing. Or if I already have two of the new armoring mods, and my companion has no armor that is modable, I can just drop the new mod on the old slot and the old mod disappears. Orange means modable, and can be better than most armors in the game. Depending on what mods you put in, you can also have junk mods in and find armor that is better. The thing to do is to get the ornage armor you like the look of and mod it out. As you progress keep an eye on the armor your finding and keep an eye on the mod levels. Usually about level 10 you can start crafting, so your likely not going to have great mods there, and they will quickly be outdated. Later on your going to be in mods for a longer time period.
  14. usually an orange item will have an armor value. Quick synthweaving recipe.. look up... http://www.torhead.com/schematic/2U9j3pE Dark Acolyte's robe. looks kind of puny.. add in Cybertech armoring and Mod slot resolve modifications.. any level and it changes, Resolve gives you the will power bonuses. add in Artifice enhancement mod of any type, no willpower bonus here. The augments have to be bought.. but there are augments that have will power in them.
  15. Selling stuff depends on what your making. greens are not worth a lot. break them down to make blues, blues can be worth a good price, but break them down for purples. If no one is buying the purples, then your stuck in an area with idiots. Either pricing the mats too high or not willing to buy purples.
