  1. Played beta, sub expiring soon, not renewing. Problems I have: Load times Subpar graphics Lack of basic MMO features (dungeon finder) Dead servers, lack of transfer/merges Inability to balance classes properly Leveling is a linear, uninteresting, dull grind. PvE risk vs reward is not worth it, too difficult to form groups on dead servers. Lack of World PvP venues, devs giving up on Ilum. Making valor useless in PvP was not a good move IMO. Gear looks awful I'm already Legacy 35, I'm not here to grind credits so I can buy minor aesthetic or useless upgrades. EA's bad PR moves, and awful reputation as a company. Most importantly: less patient friends have quit before me due to combination of above reasons and things stated in other posts. All in all, I can take my $15 a month and spend it on a different game that doesn't have all these problems. I LOVE the Star Wars franchise, from Ep 4-6, 1-3, and even Clone Wars cartoons. I LOVE the MMO genre as well, but cannot justify paying to play this subpar game, especially when most servers are EMPTY! D3, GW2, LoL = free WoW = same cost, with more features, more players, higher density populations (even on their low pop servers).
  2. Vendor or GTN if you have the patience. You can also reverse engineer if you have the right crafting profession.
  3. Unequip the BM piece you need to exchange for the WH piece.
  4. Slightly related to this: players on WoW just completed the Ironman challenge, the TRUE "hardmode" method of leveling.
  5. Transfer/merges need to be implemented yesterday. Sadly, by the time they get around to adding it, it will be too late as server populations will not be able to reach a critical threshold. You might see the 100+ servers we have today shrink down to 10-15. Also, ibtl, Mods will close this thread quickly.
  6. Hmmm, pay 5 million credits, or zone to Fleet and run on my speeder for 15 seconds? Tough choice, right?
  7. Light/Dark values is just a bar you grind. Your choices don't matter whatsoever as they have no lasting impact on the world around you. So the NPC tells "I hate you" one time and "I love you" the other time, big whoop? Is that supposed to be innovative? Entertaining?
  8. It is true, leveling in SWTOR is about following a straight line. At least WoW allows for some deviation and change when you level up an alt. Sure there is a "quick path" and people have their favorite zones, but the option to go to a different area when things get stale is there.
  9. No counterargument from the fanboy? How typical. Stick your fingers in your ears screaming "LALALALA I CANT HEAR YOU LIGHTSABERS PEWPEWPEPW".
  10. Finish all of your class quests, reach Lv50, and max out the companion's affection. If they still don't offer any further quests then you're done and should have the Legacy bonus unlocked.
  11. Pretty accurate, also add in that you can watch all the voice acting you want on YouTube for free. You can also read a book, watch a movie, or play a single player RPG instead of paying $15 a month to listen to voice acting.
  12. What does SWTOR excel at? Voice acting? Being Star Wars themed? Every other aspect of the game is inferior to other products available on the market. I guess some people are okay with paying $15 each month for a single player RPG.
  13. Server merges need to be here yesterday! By the time they implement them, it will sadly be too late. Also, ibtl. Gogo Mod police!
  14. Haha, there is no convincing someone like you then. You're saying between two products of equal value, you're willing to spend money on the one with less features. Congrats on having no standards whatsoever.
