  1. How do I play expansion contents (Knight of the XXX) together with my friends ? The instances starts in story mode for him and I can't find anyways to follow. The instances barrier won't let me through. My friend tried right clicking my portrait and there's no summon option. If I tried starting it normally it would starts in veteran mode instead. Do I need to be of the same level range or reach the same point of story as my friend to be able to go in together ?

  3. Also, just to be clear, The reason why I compared it to Dark Souls was the method that one might have to resort to in order to fight through group enemies in heroics that I deem impassible. In Dark Souls you're suppose to die, a lot, before you can beat something. Because to win against enemies in that game is to do trials and errors. You fight something and you make a mistake and you die. Then you get resurrected and go back to fight it again with knowledge of what to do to avoid dying like the last time. Now you may die again but this time you know the enemy have a weakspot. Then you get resurrected come back to fight the same enemy with knowledge of what to do and don't now. So you'd die a lot before you could beat an enemy. But that make sense in Dark Souls context because YOU ARE AN IMMORTAL UNDEAD, even according to the lore. You're weak, sure, but you're unkillable. Now, in impassible heroic, you face against group of 5 enemies that you can't win against if you face the whole group of 5 at once. So what'd you do. You take one down at the cost of your life. Then you use medical probe to respawn on the spot and then you take down another one. Even though you die again it's now 1 vs 3 and not 1 vs 5. So that's one way to win against a group enemy. BUT HOW WOULD THAT MAKE SENSE. You are not a Sith Emperor. You are not immortal. And you have to keep dying against some random goons/robots just to beat them ? Not to mention it's unfun. If you have to resort to this kind of thing in FP or even Ops raids, all other players would leave your group!

Now this part : "The higher the planet the more difficult they are because what abilities the enemies use increases with the levels." This is not true. I think along the way the dev broke something here. As I stated before, when I reach Makeb I could prettymuch "Facedive" the whole planet. Heroics or Planetary Quest and whatnot, yet at the same class, same gear rating, comp level, and player level, I was struggling with Belsavis's +2 Heroics. Clearly something broke. Maybe they suppressed player stats too much at lower level? "Though it still remains, H2+ for me would need more than 1 player + 1 comp and I'd expect one player with a comp to struggle hard there." "though I stand by my opinion that their difficulty varies and that not everyone should be able to solo (all of) them." Now, this is where I disagree with you. If you/the dev want Heroics that can't be soloed then fine. But re-brand it to +3 or +4 Heroics. Simply don't put it in same category as +2. No, that couldn't be. If they do that that means they intentionally break the story, as heroics are part of the planetary's story, while the locked crates belongs to what happens after the Shadow of Revan's event. Me going to the future event to unlock NPC that can unlock the crates containing powerful gears then come back to complete assignment on planets in past would not make any sense at all. I also have a problem with how, if you want to do this, you'd probably have to spacebar through everything too. " High gear group content is not ties to planetary quest, meaning it has no actual chronological order to it, so you can do it anytime. Heroics are not like that. Could be what you pointed out after this, that they intentionally change the whole game due to some lvl 75 adjustment, and that break it. After the whole Makeb thing (as I pointed out) and how I could cleared with ease by using Jugg the same Heroic that killed by BH multiple time, I agree with this, but I think it is caused by mistake and not intentional. Today, as a Sith Juggernaught DPS (Vengence), I tried doing the same +2 Heroic that I has been struggling with as a BH DPS (Advanced Prototype) and below is the result. https://imgur.com/q0uH5vx I don't know if it's due to Advanced Prototype being too squishy or anything, but my Jugg pull through this pretty much with ease. (Gear rating 246, lvl 75). I didn't even have to use med packs, and due to the changes bossfight is a bit less boring now, and healer Jaessar also fight more "Realisitc" now since she'd periodically stop healing to attack with lightsaber. So there's some positives when it comes to force user classes I guess ? Sill, I don't know what to say man. Sure, it's cool I could still pull through the game as a Jugg, but people want to play other classes too, and if they finds to so hard it's practically impassibles wouldn't that be unfair and not good enough ?
  7. I've finally beaten it. I could only do so after I grinded to lvl 74. The problem seems to be the droiddeka looking droind that has silver star next to its name. For some reason they do 450+ damage pershot to me and they shoot REALLY QUICKLY, and I only have less than 9100HP. So I have to activate all defensive abilities and dive them first before any other enemies. And I'm not joking or exaggerating or being overly dramatic here, but without grinding to lvl 74 I wouldn't have beaten it at lvl 71 as an Advance Prototype. Even if I dive the correct enemy I'd have died before I could kill them.
  8. I see, that explains why some heroics are harder than the others. And I'm sure it's not lag. The server has been pretty stable for me. If it's a bug then it could be bug in level scaling or something like that.
  9. Ok, what is going on. I just tried a heroic on Makeb [+2 Heroic] The Observer And it was as easy as it used to be before the nerf. I could "faceroll" the whole thing with no trouble (I only need to use Shield ability twice during the whole thing). But somehow that Belsavis heroic is impassible for me ?? What the heck?
  10. I'm playing a DPS BH (Advanced Prototype). I'm not expecting to be OP, man, but being disintegrated in 5 sec by trash mob ? I'll never accept that in a solo content. Your gear rating is 231, a bit above mine (220). I believe some characters in the main story will acknowledge some heroics that you cleared, and each heroics has their own story (if you do it by talking to the NPCs). I don't think it's for group, man. Before this I could clear this very same heroic solo, and as the others have pointed out +2 in +2 heroic is supposed to mean you and companion could clear it. I've tried everything but I didn't try heroic moment and unity yet, due to how long their CD is, and it would be absurd to wait for the CD and use them on every trash mob group. Advanced Prototype doesn't have breakable CC, but I do tried to use both of my CC on enemies (one is freezing them in corbonite temporarily for 2.5 sec another is electrocute them for 4 sec) But thank you for your advices anyways!

  12. I'll try my best to reply to you, but I'm mainly skimming so if I left anything out please tell me 1. "where and how?" "Where exactly is it so difficult now that you aren't able to succeed? What are you really doing there? " Groups enemies, especially in heroic missions are at the level where they almost kill you everytime you engage them or downright massacred you. The only option would be to engange them one by one but you know as well as I do that's impossible in a lot of scenarios. The enemies that almost kill you is passible but still fustrating since you have to put everything you got to ensure that you aren't dead. "it's a game " Sure, but this is an RPG. It's not a Dark Souls. If you put things like level sync there you can't rely on numbers anymore and you have to rely on skills. But guess what ? it's an RPG so you can't dodge bullet, run in to the covers in meaningful way, so in the end you still HAVE to rely on numbers, cause that's how the game work. And if the game put a cap on how high your numbers can goes and also doesn't allow you to use skills to play your game, how'd you play it ? Simple: You can't. "Is it really asked too much to be able to move out of a circle of hurt in a however decided time frame and use some of those skills that are automatically put in your action bar and light up when it's a great moment to use them? " Do you honestly believe I'd have a problem with it if THAT is all the game asked you to do ? No, sir. The enemies doesn't drain your HP to 0 in a few second with "circle of hurt" anymore. They do it with "normal attacks" that shoot out energy bolts that you can't evade. And no matter what my timing is, or how good I press those abilities that light up (hell, even if I press ALL of them that previously only required when fighting bosses or near death) I couldn't stop my health from going to 0 in matters of second anymore. Not that so often repeated "I can do it, but it all takes so long now" because that is not really complaining about the difficulty being too hard. (yes, hyperbole I know, but this argument goes both ways)" The problem is that not only the bosses are harder. It's THE REGULAR GOONS IN GROUP that is so deadly and in some cases impassible! Even if they're harder now (and I agree that they were too easy to kill before) Bosses are still as manageable as they were. But group enemies drain my HP to 0 in matter of seconds! You honestly think that a group of, like 5, Imperial Soldiers or Republic soldiers or some battle droids being stronger than "big baddies" really do make sense???? 2. Why is it such a drama if not everybody is able to solo these? " Because +2 stand for the player and the companion ? And it should be able to be doable with just the player and their comp ? My main concern here is NOT I'm having problem with more difficulty herocis. It's how difficulty of all heroics got turned up. No, dude, did you stop playing game when they have an option to allows you to take heroic quests from consoles or did you just stick to that when it happens or something ? Heroic CAN STILL BE ACCEPTED FROM NPCS DIRECTLY, and if you choose to accept them from NPCS instead of consoles THEY STILL GAVE YOU CUTSCENES/DIALOGUE OPTIONS. Which is what I do. Unless I'm grinding for money I do not take quests from consoles. When I go to new planets I don't take quest from console. I EXPLORE AND TALK TO NPC THAT GAVE HEROIC QUESTS. And if you can do it due to 300+ gear rating or whatever, good for you. But here I am with my 220 gear rating and I couldn't get passed the second mob group no matter what I do. 3. As somebody who tried to solo through the game as tank and healer before - Fair enough. But they could have handle it better. It is dumb to just see a some companion who clearly aren't healer just stand there and heal in combat. Like, Khem Val, Kaliyo, or even Jaesar. You seriously think they're the type that would be healer ? Lightsaber is not a medical syringe, you know. But now it's quest that forced you to take a break after every group fight and quest that are simply can't be soloed. Dude, you haven't read my previous replies at all haven't you ? The ones that are easy enough to run double DPS doesn't exist anymore, except maybe only the ones on starting planets. And I was afraid that the one that required you to set comp to healer would not be soloable anymore. Which I just discovered today that it is true. They aren't soloable anymore even with healer comp. "'I can't do them any longer'. " Yeah, how about you can't play them any longer unless you do it in group ?? 4. Yes, I get that. You think that before this nerf I tried to do raids/Veteran FP solo and I complain about how I couldn't solo them or something ? No, dude. I enjoyed doing FP through group finder a lot. I enjoyed it then and I enjoy it now. But what I am complaning about how we can't solo harder Heroic +2 anymore. And easier Heoric +2 required us to put in great effort against RANDOM GROUP ENEMIES. The middle grond is the way it used to be. Veteran FPS/Raids and Heroic +4 means groups are required, and heroic +2 are soloable. How about that ?? 5. "So used to be able to simply isn't such a strong argument" Again, how about "used to be able to play" and now changed to "impassible solo". If that isn't an issue for you when we'll have to agree to disagree. I get that MMOs are subject to changes but what sense does it make to change solo/PvE content to this degree ?? It's not like the MOBs are complaining that the players are too OP in PvE! 6. Yes, please keep it civilized. PS. You can't even run past most overworld enemy group now. They will ALWAYS dismounted you.
  13. People who disagree with me, please go play [+2 Heroic] Freeing the Fallen right now. And tell me if that isn't ridduculous. I couldn't get past the 2nd group of enemy with all my abilities activated and my comp set it healer. (Advanced Prototype BH+mako, 210-220 gear rating). No matter what I do my HP is reduced to 0 in matter of seconds against 5 droids. How doesn't that even make sense from story perspective ? Some random 5 ancient war driods are stronger than one of the strongest Jedi/Sith in the galaxies ? And the only way the "grand champion" can beat them is by dying and reviving repeatedly to kill each of them one by one ?? This is Star Wars not Dark Souls!   14. Please refer to my post above. Unless you're suggesting players to space bar through dialogues and blast through everything they're not going to have 306 gear (or anything above 200-220) for a LONG while.
  15. I'd like to to clarify two more things: 1.Thank you, the persong who brought up gear rating, there's a problem with it that I encounter but that is different problem entirely. After one point (lvl 65 ? lvl 70?) You wouldn't get gears from heroics anymore. Instead you'd get supply crates. And these crates can only be opened by expansions NPC. Meaning that for any characters that haven't reach that part of the story yet, they can no longer get any gears from heroic. Luckily they can still get it from command level up. But with new patch that up level cap to 75, it means that the time when you couldn't get new gear is extended if you haven't reach the expansions yet. Imagine having to grind from lvl 70 to lvl 75 (or worse, from 65?) with outlander gears from 200-220 ratings in this new difficulty level. THAT is hell, my friend. 2. I made a mistake and I apologize for it. When I was saying Herocis +2 or +3, I meant harder heroic +2. (Those that can be accepted through weekly heroic console on the fleet). Since, if I remember correctly, for me the +3 or +4 heroic was already impossible to solo. (The one that required you to do on Illum, for example) There were some +2 Heroics that required you to set your comp to healer or you'd die for sure before (like the one where you kill Republic beast handler or the prisoner revolt one where the ring leader wanted to be a sith on Nar Shaddar). If other easier +2 heroics now required you to set comp to healer, wouldn't THESE harder +2 heroics now be unplayable with just you and a comp ???
