The map is stupid id rather see us spawn at the end of the map with spawn teleporters taht take you to other parts of the ship and a push back effect like say yeah they can get through the first door but we get our defence going and we push them back A progressive flag cap the brings your spawn closer or something this stuck behind a 30 second door is just stupid. NOBODY like standing around in a spawn area in pvp gw2 has this figured out. Wow has this figured out. Rift has this figured out TIMED DOORS are just stupid. Seriously who is designing this stuff. It's about as fun as running back and forth through 6 loadscreens for a stupid questline. We pay for the game to waste our time having fun. Not to waste time being angry at stupid bugs and poorly designed halfassed quests and buggy pvp zones that ultimately crash from memory leaks and random disconnects.
  2. Me Sorc madness/lightning hybrid , and 3 buddies qued for pvp today. They were BH healing, Sorc healing, and Inquisitor assasin. Voidstar 3 meelee jumped me at the same time. I get stun'd by one of them then i get forcepushed towards my 2 healers. *into their aoe healing spell . I get charge stun'd again and immediately force choked 75% resolve bar the other 2 meelee both try to stun and forcechock me again. and zerg me down. I use my stunbreaker and begin to dps them. this took me about a minute to kill all 3 of them. After the match one of them wispered me complaining about how i was so op and it takes no skill to play my class and cry cry cry sob . For starters they all exausted all thier cc's immediately and gave me full resolve. *none of them used any of thier stuns on the 2 healers . *none of them knocked me away out of range or los of the healers. (If they were cordinated the could of knocked me one way and the healers the other way separating me from my healers long enough to 2 shot me with 2 9k critical finishers that their classes are capable of. ) * They all used their op damage reduction abilites while i was stun locked because they really needed it while i was stunlocked for 8 seconds and my dps was so much .... I have every box filled with a spell 20 in all that i use and both side bars filled as well unlike classes like comando or bh tracer missle spec i dont a a 1 button wonder weapon.. none of my abilities hit for more than 3500 with trinket and stims popped. Sorcs are not op just really bad players lose to experienced sorcs that can use more than 4 buttons. Most of you aren't losing to op sorcs your losing to good players that have joined a game together and are working as a team. I play both sides pub and emp. My friends and i got so sick of the complaints that we rerolled alts on the other side. We que into warzones with 4 troopers we own, we go with 4 ops we own, we go with 2 bh 2 sorcs we own, we go with 2 merauders and 2 juggernauts we own. My point is yes sorc aoe spells are a little bit easier to use than the other classes but if you use a Mortar Volley or Death from above and dont stun first you are just an idiot and i will move out of the way or my sorc friend if he isnt stuned by someone will maybe pull me to safety. Ive seen every class in the game do over 600k in voidstar its not impossible.
  3. Honestly i just see a lot of ignorance and unvalidated ranting about assumed issues and rumors that arent even true. Example 1 . The spells and attack for Jedi sage and Sith Sorcerer are identical in every way except for the wording and the spell effect that is displayed this is purely a grafic destinction so you can tell friendly spells from enemy spells. This is done for flavor and so when you pvp you dont move out of a friendly spell effect because you can actualy tell if its enemy or friend. This is so much better than wow example ice mages aoe freeze spell. How many times have you panic yell'd into vent is that your Ring of Frost????? in a heated arena game. As far as the issues with damage being delayed it simply isnt you can test this yourself for example the Sorc SHock spell is often said to cast faster than the Jedi's equivalent. THIS SIMPLY ISNT TRUE. It merely appears this way because the damage doesnt display in the game until the spell effect is finished. How else can you explain damage numbers showing up on screen after an enemy is killed . The Damage registers in the combat log as soon as the preinstant cast animation is finished but the damage doesnt show on screen until the spells epic animation is finished. You can prove this to yourself by killing all but 1 mob for a kill quest say 14/15 . Then damage the mob down to an amount of hitpoints that you know for certain the instant spell will kill that mob. Then cast the instant spell as long as you are not lagging you WILL get credit for the last kill for that quest before the spell animation finishes and fires those rocks! This damage display delay is done to keep fluidity between the spell effects and the animations. It wouldnt look right if the damage imediately displayed on screen but the spell was still casting would it??
  4. I would like to see the disconnect limit extended in pvp so if you experience a 3-5 second internet blackout you arent immediately disconnected. I play on a wireless connection my landlord wont let me drill holes to run a lan cable from upstairs. When the heat or ac turns on it creates a short 3-5 second interuption due to the level of ions in the air changing and creating signal degredation. Also should a player be disconnected in pvp they need/should be able to reconnect to that game if they do so within say a minute. It is extremely annoying when i que for pvp with my friends and i get disconnected roughly every 3-4th game and have to sit and wait to play with them again. Not to mention this is having a huge affect on my characters pvp level progression. Unlike other players complaining about classes being too powerfull because they wont admit that they are bad players. This is actually a legitimate issue that needs to be addressed. Thanks Bioware for the great game! But please stay focused on fixing the bugs.
  5. You never stated what class and spec you are. Also maneuverablity is key + teamwork to winning most pvp maps . If 4 BM geared sorcs que together as a team and work together yes they will most likely gain the upperhand agaisnt 4 undergeared non workign together teams. Flaws in your design the sorc bubble only negates about 2500 damage which is 1 attack from most classes and it suffers from a global cd on the player for about 12 seconds reduced to 9 with 2 set bonus and talents but only 1 tree has this . Sorcs have no endurance bonuses like every other class and have less armor than every other class . Heres a list of classes that i know if geared and played properly can nearly 3 shot a full bm sorc . Merauder any spec, Rage-juggernaut hybrid spec, smugglers, shadow sages, pyro hybrid spec vanguards, Sniper stunlock +orbital, bh stun + death from above , there are a million ways to kill a sorc so easily but honestly if you cant tell a healing sorc from the dps sorcs you just are bad and deserve to lose .
