  1. Truth is, operation/PvP/flashpoints/professions should be able to provide you with more than enough credits to survive without regular daily missions. Selling things in the GTN helps you get rich too. The dailies are there for two reasons: 1. They are specifically designed to keep you playing longer (action and reward system, every mmorpg and casino is a huge skinner box experiment). 2. The other PvE/PvP gameplay mechanics are poorly designed and don't offer enough credit rewards in the long run in terms of suitable rewards.
  2. All the activities in the title have been ridiculous even since the beta. This **** needs to stop. Use constructive criticism, report bugs/glitches, and address issues - don't flame/grief the forums.
  3. Agreed, but you are wrong about one thing: The Secret World is a Funcom title, not a E.A. title. The Secret World is going to be excellent though . Unfortunately, I won't be trying GW2 because it will over-extend my mmorpg limit, since I'll only be playing TSW and SWTOR. I heard good things about GW2, feel like I'm missing out or will miss out, but I already made my choice. On the matter of Vivendi/Activision-Blizzard games, f#$k WoW because it's highly overrated. And @ the OP; s. t . f . u & g f t o, it's way too early to be seriously judging SWTOR. E.A. doesn't actually lie about their games like Blizzard does. As of now, the subscription number for SWTOR is above average and more than sufficient enough to keep it alive for years to come.
  4. Sure WoW has a community, if one is generous enough to consider large numbers of internet trolls and children in one place as a "community".
  5. This is ridiculous... It's insanely easy to balance a single extra hybrid class ability without requiring a active Heroic Moment ability. Avoiding a "balance nightmare" would require 2 very simple steps: 1. Give the ability a 5+ minute cooldown, thereby making it very ineffective in a dps cycle. This would render the ability underpowered, the opposite of over-powered or unbalanced and allow players to have fun with it at the same time. 2. Reduce its effect, damage, and duration. Simple.
  6. Actually it's true, most of the budget did go into the voice acting. However I'm not complaining. SWTOR quests are so much more interesting and immersive than the boring/repetitive WoW quests. Quit WoW 3 years ago, never had the urge to go back since. Definitely sticking with SWTOR.
  7. lol nice troll post. I always find the logical fallacies amusing.
  8. Yeah I love how people post about how much this game sucks, yet they're still posting on SWTOR forums AND playing the game LOL. Talk about fail trolls and hypocrisy.
  9. Sounds like you haven't even bothered checking the "Server population" information on the server selection screen... lol. Almost every server in the U.S. and Europe has a "Standard" population level. In other words, the server pop. decline only exists in your mind. Not everyone that purchased the game subbed, therefore not everyone playing at launch stayed after launch. So yes, the servers did lose a some people, but not many. SWTOR doesn't "suck". In fact, and for more than one reason, it's the better choice when you compare it to all of the other mmorpgs in existence. Most mmorpg players are severely spoiled though, they expect the game to be polished and perfect at launch. Such an expectation is foolish. Not even mentioning the fact that SWTOR had the most record sales at launch and the smoothest launch recorded in mmorpg history, little fact you should keep in mind.
  10. They're both challenging. Although PvP is the more lively and action-packed option.
  11. Cool story bro. Too bad it's not true lol.
  12. Sounds like a personal problem and a cool story bro. You should try getting some medication for your A.D.H.D.. If you want to play a boring mmorpg, go play WoW. WoW will bore you to death, literally.
  13. For those of you that need extra low graphics to run the game or for those that want the graphics to be extra high. http://donotargue.com/cfg-makers/star-wars-the-old-republic/ The link has all the relevant information. *Important note* Do not forget to toggle the client_settings.ini "Properties" settings. The game will automatically revert to default settings upon launch if you do not set the client_settings.ini folder to "Read-only". client_settings.ini > Right-click on the folder > Properties > Check the "Read-only" box next to the "Attributes" option > Click "Ok" or "Apply". Here's a example of a medium settings setup and how to do it: Caution Be sure to backup your client_settings.ini in your Windows Vista / 7 " *:\Users\(user name)\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings " Windows XP " *:\Documents and Settings\(user name)\Local Settings\Application Data\SWTOR\swtor\settings " folder before generating a new CFG How to use: copy the generated code and put it into the text file named "client_settings.ini" at the following location: Windows Vista / 7 " *:\Users\(user name)\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\Settings\client_settings " Windows XP " *:\Documents and Settings\(user name)\Local Settings\Application Data\SWTOR\swtor\settings " client_settings.ini custom tweak) [Renderer] Height=120 Width=160 WindowX = 0 WindowY = 0 DynamicLightsLimit = 2 MeshLODQuality = 1 TextureAnisotropy = 2 AntiAliasingLevel = 0 FarClipScale = 3.0 PlantDensity = 100 D3DFullScreen = 0 FullScreen = 1 NativeHeight = 120 NativeWidth = 160 doShadows = true doBlobShadows = true UseMinSpecShaders = true EnableBloom = 1 VerticalSyncState = false TextureQuality = 1 AllowDepthOfField = true GammaRamp = 1.0 SpeedTreeDistanceScale = 1.0 DebugAdvEnviroLighting = true enableadvenvirolighting = true [Game] MoviesFolder = ..\..\Movies SwtorRegKey = SOFTWARE\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic
  14. Oh sweet. Definitely looking forward to that, along with the other legacy features/perks
