  1. revive necro thread? why not simply link this function to the current UI toggle bind (alt + z). they seem to go hand in hand so why not integrate. it really is quite a pretty game and having nameplates in a screenshot not intended to show off players kinda ruins the picture. and it IS a pain to manually turn them off and on each time you want to take a pretty shot.

  3. yes, BA is better in certain situations... but in normal use it only comes close to dmg proc if its used exactly on CD, which they rarely are. cooldown may not align with practical phases in a fight or you may forget it for a short time etc...
  4. boundless ages is irrelevant in pve too since dmg proc AND power proc r both better. and that tooltip i doubt would be incorrect since people have already brought up timers on relics to BW back when they were new. that is most likely a mechanical bug rather than tooltip.
  5. focused retribution relic should not be under consideration for anybody. it is just terrible. the proc effect averages to 77 main stat under the best circumstances plus the static power. to put this in perspective, underworld boundless ages averages to 106.25 power if used on cooldown, and the dmg proc of same tier is better than it. DF FR relic is 2 tiers above that and still is worse.
  6. i like the idea of being able to make cosmetic items bound to legacy, but not the mods themselves. i love using legacy gear for my raid alts (11 characters at 55). if i have gear on my guardian then i have gear on my juggernaut, i dont have to grind out the same stuff for the same gear for the same spec. i just wish i could look how i wanted at the same time, the current selection of legacy armour is fairly limited. if they added the option to make shells bound to legacy for cartel coins with a legacy (or AP or reputation) requirement then im sure people would gladly pay for it. i know i would... of course it would have to exclude foci, shields and generators.
  7. having the weekly cap technically doesnt prevent it being completed on day 1. i believe the initial storyline (not incl. ops) for oricon combined with 1 run-through of the dailies and weekly after is enough to reach weekly cap? and if you run it on alts the same day then you can easily get enough tokens to reach legend in 1 day and never go there again. just use tokens wherever you are each week.
  8. thats actually not at all accurate. the dps people are increasing by that 8% is already taking into account crit/surge. and dont forget people, MS already gets a 10% buff in tree, so the sentinel set will likely increase that 8% of base damage, not 8% of the actual output. other than that, blade storm and MS should be roughly even most of the time without either of these set bonuses.
  9. maybe lower the comms yield a bit and remove the cap? its just plain absurd how easy it is to cap now though. same goes for reputation (for certain factions anyway). CZ, oricon, TFB, S&V, DF and DP weeklies with 7 fp dailies alone is 218 elite comms. thats not taking into account comms u get during the content.
  10. defence rating mitigates only melee/ranged (white) damage. shield mitigates ALL kinetic/energy damage. besides reactive warding, the only way to buff internal/elemental mitigation (besides consular/inquisitor buff) is in skill tree. madness/balance, lethality/DF, pyrotech/assault specialist are all largely internal and elemental damage. all with multiple dots which continue while not being actively attacked and will not proc defence/absorb relics but will reactive warding. this means a cooldown is less likely to be wasted with reactive warding than either of the other 2. and with that quoted 3% mitigation from whichever other relic was being referred to (cant be bothered sifting through the thread) even if u were to take 36k damage during the 6 seconds, assuming 0 internal/elemental, it would only come out to 1080 reduction.
  11. nobody is debating the absorb proc relic. absorb proc > defence proc. its reactive warding vs fortunate redoubt (damage absorb vs defence). so your point is irrelevant.
  12. 2 people of the same skill lvl then it comes down to gear or luck. which would you rather rely on?

  14. i think its mostly because people look in vendor, think "hurr durr that item heals it must be good" and then recommend it to others with no basis. kinda like how people perpetually direct others to noxxic. all ephemeral mending does really is contribute to your overhealing. for pve, if you dont have an old static stat pvp relic then 2nd BiS is power clicky (assuming double proc is fixed) followed, probably, by matrix cube, unfortunately. for pvp the main stat relic seems to be fairly even with matrix cube. and crit is generally just bad...
  15. something to do with the pvp relics being BiS for pve... which EWH still is for healers anyway. and i have come to the conclusion sarano is either very dense or just a troll.
