  1. I know, but I was curious about prioritization. As the poster below you said, 736 for Accuracy---but I'm curious what you all are doing about budgeting your crit vs alacrity totals.
  2. Are these two still the go-to stats after reaching the accuracy cap? I'm trying to figure out which enhancements to put in my legacy gear (for general questing and such). All I have to go on are the 4.0 guides on Dulfy.net (great site, by the way)----are things still pretty much the same?
  3. I know that. I can still like some aspects of the changes and not others. I don't "hate" it; I just would have preferred each companion had something individual is all. It's not a problem though.
  4. So, you have that much of your self-worth tied up in virtual gear? Are you sure that's important? Do you get that jealous and worked up over such things? You should probably think long about that, about what's really important. And again, you really shouldn't concern yourself with what OTHERS are doing. If you really want to do that, I recommend running for President in a country like North Korea or maybe joining a vanilla WoW server. Only a small fraction of WoW players ever saw tier 3 content, you know (oh, the way they QQd when TBC launched...I never heard such crying). That should be right up your alley. Even during peak hours you would be the only one standing there in tier 3 armor. You'll love it !!
  5. Opinion-based stuff here, so try not to get your knickers in a twist if someone likes something you don't or doesn't like something you do. (yes, to clear up the confusion, from 1.0 to 4.0. I haven't read a thing about 5.0 yet). LIkes--- Crafting changes (favorite part) Class stories Comp gearing changes Outfit designer New influence system and how it affects companion skill Legacy-bound gear Complimentary cartel coins Comp role-switching So many pets!!!! NPC character development Level sync (though I wish things were a smidgen more difficult; I still seem a bit OP) Dislikes--- Comp homogenization Lack of companion ability differences, especially with hard-to-get comps like HK-51 Lack of new flashpoints and other group content
  6. I just think its funny how some people put so much energy into what other people are doing to get gear. Play your own game, and let others play theirs. Do you really have nothing else to worry about? Don't worry about what happens in a game. It's fun, yes, but in the grand scheme of things---life, bills, kids in college, family, a broke brother who keeps wanting to bum money----it doesn't matter. So please, stop being a gear Nazi. Play your game; stop worrying about what others are doing. You're going to spike your blood pressure for no reason at all.
  7. I like the point about over-saturation. Ever since WoW's rather phenomenal (fluke? One-time? Unrepeatable?) success, game companies have been trying to emulate. MMOs have been around a very long time (Earth and Beyond or Ultima Online, anyone?), and they'll continue to be around a long time. However, things always change. SWTOR is no different. I love the game, but it has of late gotten rather stagnant. The current trend is to release a new expansion. Keep players playing for a year. Release a new expansion. I like what SWTOR has done, though: the level sync thing has at least helped with immersion, but overall things have gotten very, very easy. At least we can group up for our favorite flashpoints again, right? I don't know what the future will hold for this game or for MMOs in general, but I do hope we get to keep SWTOR a while. I've played off and on since its founding, swapping occasionally back to WoW or throwing in with a single-player game like Dragon Age or Mass Effect. I always seem to come back to this one, though. But frankly, I'm a bit tired of raids and operations. A whole new character class and story might be nice. I suppose we'll see what happens. I hope Bioware keeps this one around a while. I sure wouldn't mind a really big expansion though---the SWTOR equivalent of something game-changing, like a third major power and some new classes and class stories.
  8. This game costs 50 cents a day. You've thrown more money than that away on useless items this week. Everything breaks from time to time----or have you never owned a car? A washing machine? A central air unit? A mechanical pencil? Fixing stuff sometimes takes time. The game will be playable again soon. Be happy you have a game that developers want to improve or continue to contribute to. Star Wars Galaxies died a giant death because Sony gave up on it and their fans. I would rather the same not happen here. Bioware has always delivered quality games. Try to keep that in mind. And be patient.
  9. Please fully embrace the level sync plan. I realize some things aren't being considered right now (like Directive 7), but I would like to see every shred of content remade under this plan, all planets and flashpoints---everything, especially since we still get to keep all the abilities; they're just scaled appropriately (if I understand it correctly). With a fully implemented level sync of everything, I'll feel more immersed than ever before because my characters will be relevant---and not overpowered---anywhere. I can find groups and do content no matter where I'm at!!! I rather enjoy those old planets, and some of the vanilla flashpoints are my all-time favorite places. Sometimes I just want to hit Alderaan because it's pretty and I like gathering materials there, but it's not much of a challenge anymore, and sometimes it's quite fun to visit Directive 7 (all-time favorite flashpoint) and The Foundry (second all-time favorite), but they aren't really a challenge either. I appreciate all the efforts going into the game. You've got a winner. And no, this is in no way sarcastic.
  10. The game developers aren't going to have such a blatant oversight. I like your questions, but honestly, you're worrying for nothing. Those things would break the entire game, and if they actually DID screw up something like that---sending you up against Baras at level 10---a patch would quickly follow. I'm sure there will be bugs with this expansion just like there are bugs with every expansion (and every game that has ever been made), but I hope people are patient enough to report the bugs and to do it with a bit of dignity.
  11. Some of you are really blowing this out of proportion. There's nothing wrong with solo / casual play or the other changes they are doing with 4.0. Games evolve and so must the player base (Naturally, you don't have to like all the changes. I, for example, am not too happy about the crafting and companion affection achievement changes---but I'll learn to live with it because I enjoy the game). Do you really enjoy waiting ten hours on a group queue? Is it really that enjoyable to go to Hutta and slay level 10 players? I'm speaking facetiously of course. I like solo and group play; they both have their places in an MMO---with this one as well as every other MMO that has ever had any real success. Stop fussing about it. Embrace the changes. Look forward to something new. Besides, the game isn't even here yet. You might like it.

Sadly, this. Use guild chat or the forums. Avoid general chat for anything more than, well, nothing really.
  13. That's okay. I was just noting flashpoints for which I have a soft spot. I'm just happy to see them become challenging. I don't have to have every single one I like on there to be happy.
