  1. It was mainly one dialogue when he was talking about another guy in his past that he knew. Nothing obvious, but it sounded a little like there is possibility that any relationship he was referring to was more than just friendly.
  2. I have seen around there being rumours of romances, possibly confirmed or not, but I am not sure what is in fact going to happen. This has been talked about a fair amount, but there is a reason why such a topic gets discussed: representation. Bioware writers are well known for their talents in developing characters, and designing romances for the PC, especially in games such as Dragon Age and Mass Effect - even games as old as Neverwinter Nights and Baldurs Gate have romance subplots. As we all know, SWTOR has had no romance options involving a companion and PC of the same gender (before flirt lines with no clashing or purpose introduced in Rise of the Hutt Cartel, and Shadow of Revan). It can be seen from the writing that some of the companions may have gay/bisexual hints. From what I know of, I've seen this in companions such as Talos Drevik (Inquisitor) and Corso Riggs (Smuggler). The latter may be questionable, but from some of the early companion dialogue, it can be a hint. I would go into details, but it wouldn't be as relevant and would be a slight spoiler for those yet to play the class. I have also speculated some companions as being open to same-sex romances, but without direct hints from Dialogue, including Kaliyo, Malavai Quinn and possibly Mako. It appears to be that the developers are hinting at Knights of the Fallen Empire as being something new and fresh for the game, maybe when bringing in more writing for old companions, the writers will fix the oversight they made when they first made the game, and introduce more diverse romance options, allowing a large minority of the player base to enjoy the game more. Also a chance to lock in, or commit more to relationships with either Theron Shan or Lana Beniko, especially for those who were from opposing factions. Last point: it would also be nice to have like it has been in Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age Inquisition where 2 romance options were exclusively for same-sex PC (alongside the ones which were exclusively for opposite-sex PC, even though some of them are questionable given the dialogue voiced but taken away from the final release). But this is not something I am suggesting to push for, despite how good of a move it would be. Edit: fixed censor
  3. As much as it would be easy to make a new character to play a different spec, there are multiple reasons why somebody would not want to have to make a new character. Non-completed sets, or non-cartel items that are bound to the character are not obtainable on the new character without a significant amount of credits. Roleplay reasons: A character may decide to change their style to accomodate for either their role, or a general change. A marauder may logically become a Juggernaught by spending time training this way, and adjusting to a single lightsaber style. Not everybody has time to grind to level up a new character. Some people have a life to live in the real world. PS: If you don't want an advanced class change, don't use it. Simple as that.
  4. I feel some class specific stuff might be a big thing next expansion. Especially Both Sith Warrior and Jedi Knight. I was almost afraid Revan outed my warrior as being lightside in front of Darth Marr.
  5. By some of the writing and how some gifts worked, it felt slightly as if SGRs were cannot right from the off. SoR was a step forward imo, at least. But it's obviously not to Mass Effect 3 standards.
  6. This seemed the most appropriate place to have this thread because 1) story and 2) slight spoilers. I know this is likely a topic a year or two early than it probably should be, unless work towards the next expansion has begun (seemed like plot was already being suggested at the end of SoR). As for romances, SoR and RotHC were a step forward for SGRs, although I never did take to the ones in RotHC. I most certainly loved the ones in SoR. One thing I would love to see if the return of Theron Shan & Lana Beniko romances for both factions. Since, I'm guessing, there are players possibly still reeling after the end of the expansion pack (I certainly was after Theron had to say goodbye to my male Warrior!). #devastation So would love to hear how many Theron/Lana fangirls/guys want to see more. Also would talk about potential ways to improve the discipline system... but I'm sure loads of people are talking about it in the relevant forum(s) already.
  7. For some reason I find most Cartel armour naff or just silly. I use them on certail characters for a change, but a lot of my characters don't fit them nicely in my opinion, hence why I use crafted armour (which isn't too bad in terms of appearance). What if they (even though it's almost given they won't ever have) made a recipe set which allows for 3 or 4 stats (like most crafted stuff) which can be made in the same combinations as enhancements (like alacrity and surge which cannot be together in crafted armour (for some reason)).
  8. Mainly asking because the best fixed stat gear that can be crafted by crew skills is rating 152 (discounting droid armour), which in my opinion is undervalued for those starting level 55 flashpoints and ops (mainly in terms of DPS and healing). I wonder if all end-game gear is destined to be ONLY via mods (156+) or if there will be more fixed stat gear to craft eventually. I've looked around for a few opinions from when this was (passively) mentioned and one coming up that end game gear being creatable would make doing ops pointless. Not sure if presuming that hitting max 168 automatically means there is literally nothing to do in the game at all. What if Bioware made the gear (like droid armour) bound to legacy - or bound to only the specific craft users (that'll show those cybertechs with their fancy grenades)? Not that I'd only be happy with crafted top level gear - anything slightly lower (162-168 maybe?) would be nice if it means I can do TFB with unconventional gear.
  9. A well timed and a good critical (with surge) of the scoundrel/operative stealth only backstab (with top mid tree power) power can severely cripple an enemy healer, then with a stun and extra stabs they are almost dead. With dirty fighting I have no clue, and I thought all dirty fighting powers were 30m, even for scoundrel. Likely confusing this with assassin, which has 30m madness tree abilities.
  10. From the sound of the quote you used, there was nothing that is suggesting an "activist approach". I am deeply offended that you use the term activist to describe someone who merely wants equal representation within video games. To clarify Activism: "The policy or action of using vigorous campaigning to bring about political or social change." All that is being suggested is that the cost to add SGR via cartel market for one companion is unfair when there was nothing in the vanilla game.
  11. Over 20 opposite gender flirts/romances/scenes, and we are having to pay to fix an error Bioware made by neglecting SGRA in the actual game (Around £11 worth of Cartel Coins) through addition of ONE s/s romanceable character? And about that "didn't have time to put in SGRA for original comps" - they put in the time to add the 3rd bit of dialogue anyway
  12. Which character is it you want added?
  13. I'd agree that snipers are the cure to any healer, but the only problem is that operative/smuggler healers can use their dodge power to avoid all damage from an ambush. The pull ability from vanguards and powertechs I've found to be most annoying.
  14. A marauder 2/3 levels higher than the tank of a group: "I'M A BETTER TANK THAN YOU." After about 10 mins of childish bickering, the Marauder was removed...
