Forum Posting, PvP, trolling PvE carebears.
  1. One reason why I highly dislike Arenas and will never support the meta.
  2. He's more than justified to be like that, and at least he's not going like "OMG BIOFAILZ i h8 ur game SOOO MUCH I hope u shutdown, **** lolzers Wildstar is gonna kill the TorTanic lololol" Almost every PvP'er on this board feels like that at this point. We're all just fed up with EAware's "carrot on a stick" approach. I even posted a poll thread asking PvP'ers if they would want x-server over new WZ maps. X-server won by a landslide (not surpsied) but it was unfortunately removed. I think it's very clear that they don't care at this point, and that they're solely focused on pleasing the casuals/PvE'ers. I mean, even my poll thread was highly constructive. There was nothing in it that attacked EA, BW, SWTOR, but really just explained the very sad state PvP is in this game, and it's going to continue getting worse with each and every subsequent patch if this is how things are going to be on the forums. Even one of my good friends had a very constructive post deleted from page 1 of the thread about new WZ ideas. We're not trying to destroy EAware's credibility. They're doing that to themselves and we want to love this game so much that we're willing to do whatever it takes to make them realize that their approach is highly flawed.
  3. /QFT If the daily population is as low as it is now in SWTOR, it must mean at least most people who've left for TESO believe that TESO is at least worth some of their time. It'll however, continue to go this route with new, highly anticipated games this year so I'm very curious on how the the PvP pop will look like at the end of the year.
  4. TBH I've been hearing a lot of positive things about TESO after it released, so I'm pretty sure there's something or some things over there that make the grass greener than here.
  5. I see this thread is still being ignored by the devs lol
  6. Basically they all left when EAware decided to replace ranked 8s with 4s. It's the same on Pot5. Pretty much all the ranked guilds that used to exist are no mas. There are teams that exist, but really only one dominate PvP guild that was formed due to the death of the previous ranked guilds. The members of this guild basically came together to be in one place to form teams for 4s. Killing off ranked 8s was a really huge mistake and should have never happened. It's common knowledge that a majority of the PvP community didn't want 4s or at least preferred 8s to 4s, so why the devs did what they did with 2.4 is beyond me.
  7. Tbh Pot5 is one of the worst servers for PvP. Now this is just fro ma reg perspective, but both Imps AND Pubs are horrible. I was mainly a Pub player throughout my time on Pot5, and the PUGs there are just BAD, BAD, BAD. I did end up leveling more Imps to 55, and you know what? Same mother****ing thing. It's really where you have to premade and dominate or you PUG and be dominated. The games on our server are just REALLY lopsided; however, one of my friends transferred one of his toons to JC (Pub Side), and he said the games there are completely opposite of Pot5's. The games on JC are really close most of the time, and you'll see way more very close games than you ever will on Pot5. If you wanna be on a PvE server for PvP be my guest, but I don't ever picture myself ever transferring a toon to a PvE server for PvP EVER. I'd probably level a toon, but a PvP server is where I'll always be 99.99% of the time.
  8. ^This. I know this is comparing apples to oranges, but in the FPS Halo 3 the devs really catered to both the casuals and hardcores but made sure that the hardcores were the priority. The hardcores actually play the game for hours and can help the devs out with balancing issues, bugs and glitches, etc. while the casuals don't really have that advantage. Since they play on limited time for a few days each week, they don't have the skill level and they just lack the experience the hardcore/competitive players have. That will always be true. There will never be a casual that can just do what a hardcore/competitive player can do to improve the game, but they can tweak things and make improvements on the casual side of things. The hardcore/competitive community needs to flourish in order for the rest of the game to flourish, and you can ask any experienced player who's playing or who has played this game if this game has flourished. They will give you a big, fat NO. Additionally, hardcore/competitive players are the ones that really get this game out there. They advertise the game by streaming on Twitch, or uploading machinimas or gamplay/commentaries on YouTube, or maybe even by b/vlogging about the game.
  9. I would call that psuedo-P2W to be honest...
  10. I'd prefer x-server over a new Warzone right about now...
