  1. Did you really just quote the comment I made stating what I want and then try to tell me that's not what I really want??? Ok, this is getting a bit out of hand. You haven't actually responded to a single thing I've written, you've just completely pretended like I said something entirely different. For like the hundredth time, let me say it again. I want a planet that is specifically for PvP, one that has PvP based dailies and objectives, one that gives PvP rewards, one that encourages large scale battles and community formation and sustaining through guild PvP. Here's is my wish list. Nemesis System - A by which PvP guilds can declare themselves enemies of other guilds turning members of said guilds "hostile" towards each other. This would allow PvPers on PvE servers to fight in an open world format while at the same time allowing members of PvE guilds on those servers to stay away from PvP. You could tie this into a guild perk system with a equivalent rewards for PvE guilds for completing FP and Dailies etc. Space PvP - Self Explanatory. Guild Ships - That allow PvP guilds to raid each other, board, fight etc. Arena - Yes, it is important for any time or tiered ranked or professional competition, but just make it a flat 4v4 like one team versus another. OPvP - At least one world that is nothing but PvP objectives. Having OPvP take place on EVERY world in some way will simply not work because it spreads people out far too much, decreases the chance of encounters and combat and involves people who might not want to PvP, by structuring PvP around a single planet designed as a PvPers planet you remove the chance that PvErs will be forced into PvPing and at the same time encourage open and large scale combat.
  2. Credits, Experience, Commendations. Valor is useless, it serves no function anymore. It is not tied to gear at 50, you no longer need BM rank to equip BM gear etc. There should be an equivement reward based on time invested in an activity. For example, doing 30 minutes worth of space missions gives about the same rewards as doing thirty minutes worth of dailies and 30 minutes worth of flash points.... Warzones were massively nerfed in terms of experience and credits to prevent people from just queuing their way to 50, this has meant that PvP rewards lag BEHIND pve and there is no way to gear up from OPvP. There needs to be real, structured, and rewarded large scale combat. That's what PvPers are talking about when they ask for OPvP, not to put a bunch of "kill five kitty kats" quests on Alderaan so we can gank people turning them in like some PvErs are trying to make it sound.
  3. Again. If it's a PvP zone why would you add PvE objectives to it? Why is it so hard for people to get this. Instead of some stupid daily zone with PvE dailies, PvPers want a zone of their own, that gives equivalent but PvP oriented rewards for completeing PvP dailies over objectives in OPvP. We don't want to do stupid "collect five garbage bags and take them to the dump for General Trashman." PvPers want an OPvP zone, a zone that is DESIGNED AROUND PVP.
  4. This entire thread is filled with people who don't PvP, who don't go to the PvP forums, pretending to know what PvPers want and are asking for and then summarily rejecting their completely contrived and make believe demands. Here's is what PvPers want: they want a zone, designed around open world combat, with pvp objectives and scoring that yields pvp rewards. We want a revamp of ilum that allows it to be playable, large scale open combat. Now you can pretend to know and understand what OPvP is, what PvPers want from it, you can pretend all you want, but you have no idea what you're talking about...
  5. Again, you're completely missing the point. This entire conversation is about a zone SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR PVP. Ilum was a place for OPvP to take place, it was designed for that one purpose. Now, here's the thing. If you give people who want OPvP a place for that to occur in and also rewards for participating in it then THATS WHERE IT WILL OCCUR. When BW took away the OPvP zone the people that wanted to fight were forced to roam the planets looking for people to fight. By setting aside a specific place for this activity to occur in and giving them rewards for doing that there you at the same time reward the pvpers with content they've been clamoring for for nearly a year while at the same time helping the pvers by removing the ganking from the planets and putting it in one zone where they know its going to occur....
  6. I think you missed the point that was a one off event? We are talking about an OPvP zone, Ilum, you know that place SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED AND ADVERTISED AS BEING OPvP. PvPers want to know when they are bringing back OPvP, that thing that was heavily advertised and pulled in the first major patch in the game... but you can try and make this about ganking all you want, your argument is a red herring wrapped in a straw man with a splash of adhominem just for kicks.
  7. The original quote I responded to did not mention the R Plague or that vendor in any way shape or form, he only brought that up as an example after I pointed out that he was wrong in the general case.
  8. Your entire point is meaningless because you have invented some straw man argument and substituted it in for what actual PvPers want from OPvP so that you have something to rail against. PvPers have been asking for systematic and organized, rewarding OPvP options a kin to what Ilum was before but in a way that the servers and clients can handle the data. They want rewards. Originally, the OPvP zone on Ilum WAS JUST LIKE OUTLAWS DEN WHERE YOU WERE AUTO FLAGGED UPON ENTERING. It is impossible to "gank" someone in an area that auto flags you for PVP because everyone knows, going in, this is area is for PVP and PVP will occur here. Just like you can't "gank" a PvEer in a wz... you can't "gank" a PvEer in a zone that is specifically designed and set aside for PvP. You seem to be arguing that PvPers want every PvEer to be automatically flagged for PvP and we want rewards for flying to the enemy faction capital and ganking level 10's with our full EWH 50 Operatives and Sins. That's not what any PvPer is asking for, that's not what the conversation is about, but you are trying to frame that conversation in that way. PvPers want to know when we will have our revamp to Ilum, you know that zone specifically designed and set aside for PVPERS to quest and fight in.
  9. I think you missed the point. Either that or you have no idea what medical droids do...
  10. And if your comment had anything what so ever to do with what the conversation is actually about it might have some bearing or point, but since your statement in no way reflects on what they are talking about or what Ilum is, your comments are hyperbole... sooooo... yeah.
  11. Again, hyperbole. This has NEVER actually happened to you, never, not once. You are making the entire thing up. You know how I know? because the FIRST time you get ganked "just trying to get to a vendor" you can simply release, and guess where you are? You are instantly teleported to a vendor... lol. Additionally, the only way this could happen is if you are either on a pvp server in the first place (where you literally asked for it) or you attacked another player to flag yourself...
  12. ... hyperbole and lies. Also you completely moved the goal posts. Do you actually have some kind of argument? What is it plainly and specifically you are arguing against because your initial tirade was "there's no such thing as PVPers, there's just jerks that gank us poor little pvers!!!!!" When I pointed out how absurd that argument was, you changed it to "well there are bugs that some jerks exploit that means there should never be rewards for OPvP!!!"
  13. ... this has got to be some kind of joke right? clearly you don't play on a PVP server and clearly you never played Ilum when there were still rewards for doing it. PvPers don't want to "gank pvers" they want to have rewards for engaging in the kinds of content that they play. Just like PvEers get rewards for daily quests for PvEing, PvPers want rewards, credits, comms, something for engaging in PvP. Back when Ilum still had rewards it was packed. Every day like clockwork a massive column of Sith would roll out onto the icy plains to do battle against an equal sized column of Republic soldiers. A hundred strong at least they'd fight across the tundra, rocks and blaster bolts and lightning skipping through the chilled alien sky. Now you see, this put a tremendous stress on their servers and on the clients and the Hero Engine simply could not handle the load. It would crash servers, bring down entire systems, drop players to 1FPS. They pulled it to redesign it in such a way that their client and servers could handle the stresses of the end result. TLDR: PvPers don't want to gank PvEers they want to PvP and receive similar rewards for time invested in content that PvEers receive for dailies. They want a an OPvP zone implemented in such a way they can get more than 5FPS with their 3.4GHZ i7 and 2gb GPUs lol.
  14. lololololol understatement of alllllll time... Ilum was described as being a game changing jaw dropping experience that would redefine the nature of PvP. It was so buggy and broken it was removed from the game in the first patch and promised to be revamped redesigned and returned new and better than ever One year later it is still not back. When they removed it they effectively removed the dailies and weeklies for the area as well. Now they compensated for this by making the WZ dailies and weeklies worth slightly more, however at the same time they increased the cost of gear when they redesigned the bag system for Champ and BM gear. So on the whole the reduced the amount of daily/weekly comms, increased the cost of gear, removed the second method of gearing up, removed an entire zone from the game, and lost a huge percentage of their player base in the process. Saying "it didn't live up to the talk" is like saying "people were disappointed when ranked got pulled from 1.2 three hours before it went live... that is to say if you look at Torstatus those failures likely caused 100k players each to leave the game...
  15. I'd have to agree with this. For things like Rated where there might actually be only one group queued up on a server at a time... cross server makes total sense. It also makes sense for people queued up for Ops too. People lose sight of the fact that X-Server isn't for Peak play time, it's not for 9pm on a Friday night, it's for 4am on a Thursday morning, when it's entirely possible you're the only level 50 DPS queuing up for whatever content you want to play, that way it takes the "odd person out" or the "single player" and makes a group of them.
