  1. I miss the good old days myself. SWTOR is probably one of the worst games I've seen created to date. I want so much to play it (I do love the combat, I like the animations) but after so many times riding the same rail around and around and around ... you just want to throw up. In the old'n games you could explore and explore - sure you'd end up fighting but you didn't care, you had just made it somewhere new. It was rare to be some place you shouldn't be - you either had the skill to be there or not. What happened was greed. WoW showed how these companies can make money - they wanted more money. And WoW also proved that if you make something that eats at the animal instinct of a person, they will follow like a loyal dog. A good shrink could explain it better but how ever you sugar coat it, you are now led by a string and you will like it, if you don't - there are a million others being led to make up for your dissidence. Greed and stupidity rule the gaming world today - like American politics, a few small voices are just a swatted nat on the neck.
  2. Wow, not a word from Bioware about this issue but guess what...I just went and tried to re-add my phone to my account and it finally worked. Android phone has been re-added after only waiting two months to have it fixed and only had a helpful user posted their success I would have never known. Way to go Bioware...keep up the great work of keeping everyone in the dark!
  3. So that means that they fixed the problem? I haven't heard or read anything saying they have done squat about this and once removed you couldn't set it back up. Perhaps they finally fixed it and forgot that they have a community waiting to here a response....
  4. Of course the easier part is getting the key removed off your phone THE PROBLEM is putting it back. Now, go try that and report back.
  5. Do these people even play the same game we do? I've felt better playing non-US, non-English speaking games with no subscription, charge you to sneeze type games when it comes to commitment, growth, listening to their players and expansion than I see from the developers and designers of this game. Sad, they even contradict their own support staff on the forums it seems.
  6. The fact remains that this is still a bug after more than a month, a bug dealing with security of your account. Is PvP updates more important than my account security? I don't think so but I guess that is how it rolls. I'm glad they are telling people but it doesn't fix the problem it just gives you a warning that there is a problem. Since most of us get a new $50-600 phone so we can use it and not use our old phones, it seems a mighty annoying bug - keep your old phone until we fix it so you can keep the account security or we'll remove it and you'll loose the account security but you can use your old phone. OR keep your old phone (if it has WiFi) as a big glorified dongle for a few months ... ugg.... I'm sorry, I feel like some people are trying to sugar coat rocks and push this off as candy - it's a rock and you can chew on it as long as you want but it's still a rock. Butter it up anyway you want it still a rock.
  7. Agreed! I'm so trying to believe it will get better but so far, nothing at all has pointed in that direction. A month, isn't very long but in many games, you had patches rolling out almost nightly to fix issues and address player concerns. Bioware rolls out one every so often and then only fixes three, maybe four things. The travel times are terrible, I can understand some of it but at some point, on my fourth alt, I just want to quit playing. They didn't think beyond any box and in fact, I think they found a way to put a box inside a box and are so pleased with this that they are trying to box the boxes and create an advertising campaign around that box of boxes. UGGG....
  8. That's how you fix that? I just right click on a button and it goes back to normal. Usually I'm dead not to long after that as I thump away trying to get my keys to respond. I agree, the UI should be escalated to a priority. That one thing along, a customizable, re-sizable UI would make the game feel a hundred times better. AND the ability to export and import your settings for your alts. Then please fix chat, give us the dang ability to see text above people's head. It's ever so frustrating not to see someone or to have to create chat tab after chat tab so you can see people chatting.
  9. In two simple steps I was FINALLY able to find answers to problems that have bugged me since pre-launch. TWO SECONDS. Did it really take that long to design a search feature from scratch. I wish I could pat your staff on the back for doing this but this should have been done a long time ago.
  10. Personally, they need to make it so entering your ship is before the loading screen and not after it. They can easily instance your ship in, you are already in an instance why can't our ship's internal space be in there too. When you enter your ship bay, your ship and internals load. When you click your door to your ship, you are (secretly) ported to your ship internal area on the map and finally your companion dismissed (since they are in the ship already). Then you use the navigation system to travel but if not you stay on the same planet and can leave the ship. If you choose to travel, you get the launch movie, then it cuts to a loading screen for the new area you are heading too and finally the landing movie and then you are returned to the internals of your ship where you can exit the ship and go about your business. ONE load, your done. Questers who need to use their holo can just run in and do it and then leave, travelers can race to their ship and load once. Friends can join you and even travel with you. Just one load screen and a lot less time but still a bit of immersion.
  11. I did that with WoW (closed my account) after I got tired of it and THEN someone hacked my closed account, used some game time certificates to sell off and delete my characters and then put their own security key on the account. I don't mind the security key, I have it on my Blizzard account, RIFT account and one other - it is a nice bit of protection. I wish I could put it back on my SWTOR account but I am one of those who got a new phone and had to have them remove the old key. It's been two weeks, going on three and so far, no fix. The key is a good idea, it does help. Removing it via your account page I think is important but calling support on that rare occasion isn't to bad to ask IF and ONLY IF you can get it working again.
  12. We are still making games for the 18th century, you didn't know that? You should be able to have 50 to 100 quests - this is suppose to be futuristic right?
  13. Couldn't agree more with the original poster. I'm trying to hold out but I did that with STO and well ... that was a waste, I guess I will never learn.
  14. This little summary needs an award for capturing a moment in the life of a player in SWTOR.
