  1. Woot for "network error while downloading the patch data. Retrying.." error.
  2. Would prefer a mixture of 3d space battle (player ships) and Capital Ship battles (guild command centers) for a fleet battle but I get that would be very difficult and hard to do. So barring that I will vote Capital ship bc it's something for guilds to do together.
  3. I would change the resolve system to mirror WARs system. Types of CC should trigger immunity against that type of CC again based on the length of the CC (the types are root, kb+pull, kd+stun, mez)
  4. Fact of the matter is until we can parse it's speculation regardless of what anyone says bc right now all we have is gut feeling and general observations. I personally find accuracy past 100% normal weapon attack to be pointless waste of my time because I can't remember the last time I missed an Ops boss with my main hand and I don't encounter enough tank geared tanks in PvP to matter (however I could just be very lucky rng is still rng) but other ppl swear 108% is the magic number. With a parser we will be able to sit at a combat dummy and pound it for the 6 min standard enrage timer (for PvE for PvP prob one minute will do bc if you are on someone for more than a min something is wrong) and compare 3 points of NH run that test three time to account for random variables (chain critting beyond the norm ect) and take the average of the three vs 3 points of malice run the same amount of times to account for random variables and averaged together. That is when we will have an answer for sure. Plus diminished returns are changing next patch so any theory crafting done now will be totally void in 3-4 weeks

Not quite on the rage and carnage side Things that help Carnage Carnage supposedly gets a damage buff to ataru (testing pending on this one) Ravage is now uninteruptable base tied with the carnage talent it is both a root and uninteruptable making it unstopabble if you are at full resolve Ravage now has a talent that buffs it's damage Force camo now reduces 50% damage across all specs and anni loses the damage reduction on phantom The useless erupting fury is replaced by a talent that makes charge root short fuse has been moved to T1 of anni making it awesome for all specs this was one of the best reasons to be anni Predation now affects all ppl in an op and ferocity's speed buff to pred is moved to unbound in the carnage tree Things that help rage Berserk will give full stacks of shockwave we get juggs decimate Short fuse We get an ability that if we crit on vslash we have a chance to get 2 rage back combined with the 1 refunded from anni tree this has the potential to give us free fury sometimes obliterate is now a 1 sec root as well With short fuse and berserk it should be possible to hit 2 smashes of doom in the same blood thirst window (build bt up naturally, smash, wait for cd, pop frenzy, pop zerk and smash again). Now these things may or may not change your mind but I can say they are enough to make me hit some dummies and parse come live.
  6. Look at the jk. Our gear looks like a godsend in comparison. Thank god for removable set bonuses and armoring mods in the next patch.

  8. I actually want to see the ataru proc now. Them making it weapon damage makes me suspect it will get some scaling based on our weapon. So if it's whatever amount of base damage+ whatever weapon contribution coefficent + melee damage bonus scaling coefficent= potential damage (like it would be for a normal weapon attack which is why melee damage bonus is not as high force damage bonus) it is a buff except against the 3 tanks that actually wear tank gear. The big game changer for carnage is ravage is now uninteruptable by base, has a talent to up it's power, has predation buff, and access to short fuse. I imagine rage will become the defualt PvP spec bc they made it way easier (too easier) than it already was but I suspect carnage will take over for PvE due to the phantom change and short fuse change.
  9. Well it's not final notes but I will assume they are nearly set in stone and I must say I am disappointing that nothing was done at all that matters to sins. Be it good or ill it feels kinda silly that only shadows and sins remained relatively untouched.
  10. Well it's a game changer for sure. Short fuse for me was one of the biggest reasons to go anni spec the other was phantom. Carnage might be fun depending on how much damage ravager adds to ravage could make gore- uninteruptable root ravage - scream that much more powerful. I can sense a great disturbance in the force it is as though a 1000 voices cried out *** when they realize how often maras will be able to smash of doom next patch. especially if overpower has a significant chance (50% or more) to refund rage giving you a great chance to build free fury I dunno need dummies to see for sure but I am tempted to go carnage or rage now
  11. Nah it won't if anything the last patches has taught us is that ppl will nitpick and editorialize just by reading notes regardless. PTS forums are fun to read bc they are all end of the world threads
  12. Yes Swtor will be fine. Every time a new MMO reaches near completion ppl start saying it's gonna kill off the big MMOs. Guess what, it doesn't. The reason behind this is community and time. When you actually talk to ppl who refuse to leave WOW (at least in my experience from talking to my WOW playing friends) they don't want to bc their guild is all there and they already invested so much time into that game (none of them actually answer bc WOW is still as good as it was in vanilla). The longer a person spends invested in a game and the stronger their ties to the community the less likely they are to leave. GW2 will be successful in it's own way since it has no sub don't expect ppl to permanently jump ship for it. I imagine if it is good ppl will just split their time for it. They might log in less to SWtOR but I severely doubt that half the game pop is gonna unsub for it when it won't cost per month. I imagine Tera will find a niche but I am betting it goes the way of Aion eventually (everyone was all excited about Aion and well yea look at it now) The Secret World is gonna be niche game simply bc it is the only MMO coming out this year that is reinventing the wheel. The others are refining a previous formula (GW2) or trying to change a few mechanics but keeping the core concept the same(TERA). SwtOR is casual friendly and has an inborn fanbase (sw fanboys) it will be around for a while.
  13. Its not just rakata set even the pvp set has awful bonuses. It should be a +15% chance to crit on vslash and massacre since most DPS classes get a 15% crit bonus on some ability (sins get one on both thrash and Voltaic slash also since it replace their proc builder thrash in their deception spec so it makes sense since mass replaces vslash for carnage). As for a second bonus maybe a 10 second cd reduction to force camo.
  14. I have both and have played them both in Ops and Pvp. Sin damage is very similar in glass cannon spec vs mara anni (I would give a slight edge in damage to Mara but as devs stated maras are suppose to have a small damage edge since they give up all the other advantages of having a secondary role) just uses a different delivery method. The only major issue (mind you not the only issue but the glaring one in the room) with Sin is survivability in Deception spec is not worth having the worst survivability in the game. Maras have much better survivability to do similar damage. In Pve where survivability is not an issue and they perform quite well and force shroud, better CC, and stealth sap makes life much easier in a lot of places.
  15. Yep that spec is more or less correct for DoT ticks. Only thing left to do is get those datacrons, and if your already in bm gear you might want to buy some agent gear for power/surge enhancements and stick them in your gear where you feel you can free up stats.
