  1. Thank you everyone for your insight, it is greatly appreciated. I think I am going to place a few of these on some of my mules to run every half hour or so, as I was getting discouraged at first since it seemed a wash at the low levels. Thanks.
  2. I have a few characters that I have been using for the sole purpose of being a crafting mule. My main has the 3 gathering professions of archeology, bioanalysis, and scavenging. The problem that I am running into is that my main cannot seem to keep up with the demand of just the regular green items that I find when questing in the world. 1. With that said, is there a real benefit for me to have one of my crafting mules run scav/arch/bio missions or a waste of time? 2. Are there mats that can only be obtained when running missions for bio, scav, arch? Or are all materials found in the missions available in the world? 3. What happens when you crit these missions? 4. Would I be better off running UT missions and using the profit to buy these green mats instead? Thank you in advance for your insight. Los
  3. Thank you very much for your insight. I had not considered farming the commendations with other alts in order to equip my main toon. You make a very valid argument. If I may ask, what are these orange legacy pieces you are buying? What makes them better than other oranges of equivalent level?
  4. I am considering creating some mules for crafting but I really do not want to have to go through the class quests for every single toon. I know I will have to at least get my ship first. Does anyone know or have experience with making mules by just doing ship missions to level up to obtain the schematics and not bother further with class missions? I am trying to play a main toon, and have all the other mules feed him good gear. TIA for any thoughts.
  5. Maybe I did read it wrong. So what your saying is you can stand there with your Armor Piercing buff on not pressing any skills and will regen an extra 2 ammo per 6 seconds?
  6. Gunnery Cell Charger has been redesigned. While Armor-Piercing Cell is active, there is a 50% chance to generate 1 Energy Cell every 6 seconds. - It is currently every 3 seconds to generate 1 Energy cell. Gravity Surge now additionally grants an extra stack of Charged Barrel and Charged Barrier, if applicable, with each Grav Round fired. - This is an extra stacking of Charged Barrel per Grav Round completed, so will stack 2 Charged Barrel per Grav Round instead of just one. Helps a little... Heavy Trooper now increases healing received by 1% per point (down from 3%). - Not ground breaking but still... Of course things can always change on test, I doubt drastically though...
  7. Has anyone completed any DPS parsing with armor piercing enabled within a PVP warzone? A few nights ago I was messing around, and I buffed with Plasma Cell instead to play with the green beam healing ability that we can do. I went AFK for a while, and headed into a warzone. I completed a few warzones, not noticing all the while Plasma Cell was enabled instead of Armor Piercing. What's interesting is I did not see a difference at all in my numbers being lower than usual. They seem to be around the same amounts of damage whether I had Armor Piercing on or not. I then enabled Armor Piercing, disabling Plasma Cell and continued through the warzone. I did not see a change in damage at all. With that said, has anyone else experienced the same output on damage without Armor Piercing enabled?

  9. Boo Hoo! He hits harder than me. As well as he should, he is a DPS class. Tanks should not be hitting as hard as Mercs/Commandos in my book. I can crit you for 7k, you have a shield that absorbs some of it, and a few cc skills I don't have. You can pull people cheaply into fire and poison, I can't. A sniper can go stealth, I can't. Suck it up and move along. I think is very justifiable to have it hit as hard as it is.
  10. Okay, I don't know about anyone else, but this is getting to be tiresome at best. Please tell me I am playing this class wrong or something. On a few occasions I have been accused of spamming Grav Round. I asked one person "what is considered spamming to you?". He said "I already have 5 vortexs on me, why are you still casting Gravity Round?" So what is considered spamming? My rotation is the following: Full Auto --> GR --> GR --> GR --> DEM RND ---> GR --> GR --> HiB. Okay, during this rotation, if my Curtain of Fire procs, I do full auto immediately. So what gives? Yeah, I guess I am using one skill a lot, but I am not only using it to place vortexes on you, but I am also using it again to have the privileged to use Full Auto asap. And with 1.2 coming out, we are going to need to cast GR even more in order to get Curtain of Fire to proc. I would almost be foolish not to use GR in order to Proc FA again. Bioware designed me to cast GR a lot, that is expected. During all of this I use my stun, and my concussion charge if they get too close. Mortar Volley when they are bunched up. What am I doing wrong? Do other classes not understand us?
  11. I can see what your saying in a PVE situation, but I am talking PVP, so I apologize for not specifying that earlier. Your right, you are going to do much damage right off the bat, but you are also going to be much further down on ammo than I will be. Yours sounds great if you are taking out a mob with not that many hit points, but when you are taking down another player 1v1 or so, I am going to be able to DPS much longer than you. While your blowing your Recharge Cells, and spamming hammer shot, I am still doing a few more rounds of Grav Round. Do your formula again, but over let's say a 20 second run and see who wins.
  12. Why is it crap? The rotation you stated is what I do after I start the grenade - full auto opening. Even if you don't do the full auto after the sticky grenade, it would be wise to do at least a sticky grenade since it is instant, and you will be full ammo once your grav round goes off. If not, there is a 1.5 sec window that you are casting grav round at 100% ammo, when you could have thrown a grenade basically for free damage. What am I missing here?
  13. I have been using this a ton and I must say it works pretty nice. I go: Sticky Grenade --> Full Auto --> then begin the grav round rotation of GR - GR - GR - Full Auto if up, etc... This is pretty much free damage as by the time you begin to cast the 1st grav round, you are close/or at 100% ammo. You can dps much longer in the warzones in doing this. Plus, the opponent is slowed, and at about 70% health once you begin the grav rounds. And you have a good chance for the cooldown of full auto to refresh with the Curtain of Fire ability. Thoughts?

  15. Yeah, but your getting a dem round in for free with trump's suggestion. The damage you do up front with dem round would surely make up for any armor penetration debuff. Plus, versus 1v1 dem round should be about ready to use again once the opponent is low on health and begins to run.
