  1. Because the entire point of 12x EXP for the Story Quests is so that if you're a new member and you subscribe due to hype for Fallen Empire, you can get your way through Part 1 of the game in a relatively expedited manner so that you can fully enjoy the Fallen Empire storyline. Alternatively, it's also just so pre-existing members can power their way through class storylines they've always wanted to go through but have found the prospect of grinding all the way to 60 again to be daunting and tedious.
  2. There is a Cyan-Blue War Hero Crystal on the GTN. Not exactly what you wanted, but it mixes the two colors. lol
  3. I honestly couldn't care less if the PVP Scene was dying. It's an RP Server, anyways.
  4. If you just tell yourself that literally everyone you meet is probably a guy, you'll never feel uncomfortable. I primarily play female characters because I just don't like the way the male characters look. My brother does the same. I also play the game with my girlfriend, so there's that. As long as the person doesn't pretend to be something they're not, I don't really care about it. Does RPing ever get uncomfortable? Yes. But not for the reasons you said. Some dude approached my brother wanting to meet our guildleader, which is me. So, my girlfriend and I invite his little group to our stronghold and he's all "Ohhey these are my slaves." I'm like 99% certain he was trying to purchase my brother. We all had a big laugh about it over voice, but yeah. RP can get uncomfortable, but not for the reason you listed. I could see "Surprise! I'm a guy!" as being a little more uncomfortable if you're ERPing it up, but that's a different story.
  5. I just received an error trying to redeem a cartel coins code, followed by it then telling me that my code had already been used. No cartel coins given.
  6. Something far, far less pretentious. I could just as easily call you a 'lesser player' because you weren't around in 2011-2012 when everything started, when everything was so, so much more difficult. BioWare has done good things for SWTOR since that time, and they are currently the 3rd most profitable subscription based MMORPG....So while you might disagree with their methods, they have worked.
  7. I've more or less been with this game since it came out....pre-ordered, even. Heck, I was in the beta. I think you should really stop being so uppity and calling other people 'lesser players'. lol
  8. 'Lesser Players' Pretentious much?
  9. It doesnt say free, it says "Your Complimentary Cartel Coin Reward Grant" Complimentary noun 3. something given or supplied without charge, as lodging, transportation, or meals, especially as an inducement to prospective customers. Example, some Hotels offer complimentary breakfast. You're paying for the room, not the breakfast. A way to think of it is: Your subscription is paying for http://www.swtor.com/free/features They do not have to give you CC in addition to all of that. You do, however, receive complimentary cartel coins for your subscription as incentive to subscribe.
  10. The problem isn't the change to resource management , the problem is that you made a "small change" to Force Bending which was actually a massive mechanic change that completely altered the way the ability worked. It would've been fine if they hadn't changed Force Bending. As much as I've stuck up for this game in the past, this really just shows how utterly disconnected BioWare is from the community. I've already unsubscribed, though. Mostly because my girlfriend's main was a Sith Sorc healer and I was an Immortal Juggernaut. Prior to 1.2, we survived just fine with the two of us and we were able to clear content using our DPS companions. Post 1.2, we can barely duo when it comes to the dailies and on the heroics we need to use a healing companion to help off-set the change to Sorc Healing. In HM flashpoints it was even worse. Just ugh. So since she's quit, I quit, because my viability soloing is basically 0.
  11. What's that? An MMO lost subscribers within the first months? Tell me again how one of the only 5 MMO's to break 1,000,000 subscribers is dead/dying.
  12. Exactly this. What you said couldn't be truer. For instance, of the MMO's in the next bracket on MMO Data, most tank subscriptions 'heavily' after the first year. Rift seems to have peaked at 600,000 and then dropped LIKE A ROCK to 250,000. That is an over 25% drop. Secondly, EA keeps warhammer online around and Warhammer Online has about 100k. Lol
  13. My point is that the numbers are fine, not that WoW's numbers are better. SWTOR is losing subscriptions, every MMO loses subscriptions. Look at Chart 2, most MMO's launched lost a vast majority of their subscribers within the first year. Heck, Rift peaked at 600k and dropped like a rock to 250k.
  14. I did look at the competition. WoW once said that about 40% of players stop playing before even reaching level 10. http://users.telenet.be/mmodata/Charts/Subs-1.png Is another fun thing to look at. In the scheme of things, those are apparently the only MMORPG's with an active subscriber base between 1,000,000 and 12,000,000. Technically only 5 games. Yeah. Which is compared also to http://users.telenet.be/mmodata/Charts/Subs-2.png Do you see how MMO subscription loss is totally a normal thing? Alot of those games in Chart 2 plummet to next to nothing after the first year.
