  1. Just curious if it's even possible. A match I was in last night Imp side vs. Pubs was very, very odd. Gunships were targeting and 1 shotting team mates in 1 second flat. It happened to me several times. lol I had one gun ship targeted that was focusing someone else. He polished them off instantly and turned on me and within 1 second I was back at spawn. It was like that the whole very short match. It may have just been a team of all maxed out Pub ships, but I have never ever seen the likes of that before in any GSF match. They beat us 50 to 5 with 7 minutes left to go. ha ha
  2. What time of the day (U.S.) are they on usually?
  3. Just about done with the whole thing here, too. I'm one of those who likes playing alts and now, on Harbinger, the low and mid brackets are all but dead. And the sheer immensity of this grind is just not something I'm personally interested in doing. I work too much. Simply don't have the time nor patience to spend hours and hours a day for months doing this thing. Still utterly baffled at Bio's choice on this path for gearing. It HAD to be a rookie game designer on the staff that implemented this. Or so it would seem. Unless a radical and positive change is made to this I'll be joining the unsubbers as well.

    So Bored now

I'm with you, OP. This grind is unbelievably tedious. All I do is PvP (well, 99% of the time) and this has taken just about all the fun out of it. I'm on Harbinger and low and mid brackets are practically dead. 70's pop routinely throughout the day, but the gear disparity makes it a drag. And it seems Bio has no intention of reversing on this debacle. It's becoming, to me, not even worth 15 bucks a month to sub.
  5. Mar, I've been saying almost exactly what you said in your post for months now. Well, since 4.0. I have been mostly mocked for it. LOL When 1 healer is like trying to take down a raid boss there's a problem. Apparently Bio made it even worse in 5.0.
  6. OP, those are bots. Imp side has been especially plagued by them the last few weeks. There farming those easy creds. They almost always have "letter salad" names that are usually entirely consonants like "ffffklmmmmm" and so on.
  7. No, before that I said, "People whining about premades". I did not say, "All players". As All players certainly do not complain about premades. Not by a long shot. What I think *would* help PvP, at least for a while, is for Bio to just merge servers again.
  8. I guess I don't see this premade problem on Harbinger during the late hours I play. On rare occasions you'll see the same guildies grouping for several zones, but they come and go like tumble weeds. As far as those who roflstomp the other side and drag it out just to farm dps...I despise those folks as well. My own guild truly doesn't do this. We're objectives players. If we're in a Huttball, for example, where the other team is just derping their butts off and letting us run the ball uncontested we'll just run the ball till we win and get it over with. Zones like that go fast. We don't get it up to 5 and then just farm. That's just us, though.
  9. Please point out to me where I said, "all players". I honestly have never checked in to LoG. I used to PvE a lot. If you were on a DPS class your wait time was usually an hour to get a FP pop. I think it would be no different with enforced matchmaking in TOR PvP. The majority of players clearly play DPS classes in WZ's. They'd all be sitting on their bums waiting for a queue to pop when a healer and tank finally decided to log in. And the truth is, the cold hard truth, is that almost no one wants to wait that long routinely for a queue to finally come around.
  10. People whining about "premades" just don't get it. You all have these wonderful sounding ideas of solo or group queue buttons, fair matchmaking, etc. but you simply will not allow yourself to understand what that would actually result in. The main problem that that would cause is massive queue times. Truly massive queue times. Even in Overwatch with 10 million players, one of their devs said that balanced matchmaking would greatly increase wait times. And, he also said, that even though people enthusiastically claim they'd wait 20 minutes for a "fair and balanced" match, they actually won't in reality. That's in a game with 10 freaking million players. It boils down to...people are going to gripe no matter what. What they actually want, without the testicular fortitude to admit it, is to win 95% of the time. And that simply isn't even remotely realistic.
  11. HAAAAAAAAA....HA HA HA HA ! Mercs cannot, ever, heal to full. Maybe if they're down to 50% and use a WZ medpack and their self heal back to back. That self heal is by no means OP. Not even remotely. Oh wait....troll thread. lol Mercs are fun to play and, in the right hands, can be tough to take down. Then again, with any decent player, so can any class.
  12. Oh yeah, I understand that side of it, too. Personally, about the only time I'll quit a match is if my team simply has no interest in objectives and is purely deathmatching the whole zone. Huttball, for example, is 10 minutes of pure misery for an objectives player when 8/10 of their team is fighting all over the map and giving no ball carrier support and totally ignoring the enemy ball carrier. I'll bail on one of those. My guild is much more patient than a lot of PvP guilds. Rarely, even, does one of them run down anyone in ops chat or /say. And rarely will they drop out of an obvious loss of a WZ. Something has severely dropped the population, though. If it isn't some of the newer games that have come out recently, then I can only speculate. Heck, at this point I think they should just merge servers again or make a solo only regs queue. If it'll get people to playing again, then I'm down with it.
  13. What we're seeing a lot lately, Icy, are so many people on the other team quitting almost right away, thus ending the match several minutes early. It's common place. It's players that are going to ruin PvP, not Bioware/EA, in my opinion. Too many players in a group oriented game that insist on single player action. I say that because if they notice 2 or 3 people from the same guild on a team....they'll also drop. I've had them admit this to me. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Even if "premades" were totally not allowed to queue they'd still gripe every time they're pitted against a well organized pug. It's a no win situation. Well, it was mostly fun while it lasted.
  14. Q's seem to pop steadily up till about 1A pacific. After that things start to slow down greatly. A year ago they popped constantly around the clock. Now, after 2A pacific you can wait 30 minutes for a pop and you're lucky if both teams have 8 people. Some guildies of mine think it has a lot to do with Overwatch being out now. Q times are definitely getting longer, whatever the case may be.
  15. I play Harbinger and get huge lag spikes frequently between 1A and 3A central time in the U.S.. Been like that the whole time I've been there.
