  1. It was a joke to poke fun at class stacking niche classes to achieve a kill. We are an easy-going guild and we work with the comp we have available and over-come any potential class deficiencies.
  2. Should be easy now that we've got 2 assassin tanks, 4 merc heals, and 10 operative dps!
  3. Thanks for setting this up, Lord Saros. Boss health and loot are always good to include in killshots! Hopefully more guilds decide to come out to 16man this tier!
  4. I think you're making the wrong argument. Tactical flashpoints simply refer to flashpoints that you can bring any comp to. Nowhere does it say that these are meant to be shorter, involve less story, or be easier. I would re-frame your plea to ask for more difficult, longer, story driven flashpoints, because I doubt you have any problem with people being able to queue with whatever group they want. In the end, that just means that you can still queue up with 1 tank, 1 heal, so it's kind of just an additional option to queue without tank/heal if you want to. And to comment on your thought about guilds: I used to think that before I got involved in guilds, but there are plenty of types of guilds, and even world-progression guilds have casuals that don't raid with the top group, but still partake in the glory, activities, groups and spoils of being involved in a guild. It's really something to think about to enhance your experience in this game, in addition to making you a much better player.
  5. Just my two cents, SMs have no point being tracked, as they are meant to be pug-friendly and don't provide progression loot. Whether or not guilds clear them should never be a point of comparison. If we're being completionist, and SM has to be there, I would do what other threads have done and simply have one single set of n boxes, where colored boxes indicate SM, HM, and NiM. Might conflict with 1sts, but those can always be represented in other ways. It would be nice to see pub/imp color differentiation.
  6. Sounds good! We're officially on holiday, but people will still be playing, just /who some folks and ask if anyone is around for mumble info or ginvite or whatever.
  7. Hey Siduru, we are still raiding, still competing in the top 5 world 16man progressions. We've completed both TFB NiM and SV NiM Timed Runs (with ~40 minutes to spare ) and have been farming Hateful Entity as well. We've got our main 16man and then 2x 8man runs happening weekly, so getting geared up to 78 is a quick process these days! Stop by mumble some time or whisper myself, Saros, or Orderken in game.
  8. For what it's worth, as the above comment says, there are several things that have been seen to indicate the existence of 1 or maybe 2 new bosses coming in the next tier. The OP never said they spawned it, they just said they saw something that appears to be connected to the next boss. I'm pretty sure every progression guild has seen things connected to the next boss by now...
  9. Going off of what everyday said, don't take a 3rd tank into this fight unless your raptus-kiter can't hold aggro. Swapping Calph and Bestia is really not that bad, and you don't want to drop your effective dps to 8 people. We killed this in full 75s for 3-4 weeks with 3 tanks until we worked out our dps-kiting strategy. @OP you are using a very similar strategy to what we use, so don't be disheartened! The trick to tyrans is emphasizing to the raid that this is not a fight where you find a turret spot and stay there; it's a fight that everyone's spot changes when tyrans moves (excluding tanks, melee and raptus-dps). The goal is to spread based on his new position, there's no one right positioning for everyone. Also, 3 melee seems to be optimal instead of the dot-spec ranged, but it's certainly possible. Good Luck!
  10. I was excited to see in the patch notes that this was fixed, and everyone got a good laugh when the gloves dropped off Calphayus (Grob dropped Pants as usual, as did Raptus). So now we don't get any boots in 16man . Any 8mans out there to confirm that 8man loot didn't change?
  11. I hadn't seen this posted anywhere yet, so I figured I would see if other people have experienced this as well. We've been clearing 1x 16man and 2x 8man each week, and Grob'thok has only ever dropped gloves on 8man, and only ever 2x pants on 16man. I can't believe that this is intended, preventing 16man groups from getting glove tokens, and it's especially frustrating since Raptus is always a guaranteed pants drop. Luckily, pants are an in-demand piece for the surge or accuracy enhancement. Any other 16mans seeing this?
  12. It has been rumored that you can survive the laser behind the boss too. So perhaps you could run to the 2nd boss spot during the first laser and whoever gets mine might be able to clear it easily.
  13. This bug is super frustrating, especially from a tank perspective because the crystal does not guarantee threat of brontes for some strange reason (maybe so that during teleport, he won't gib the raid). If tanks can't damage or reliably AoE taunt, it's very difficult to keep aggro. Obviously it's killable, but it's definitely wiping a lot of raids. This needs to be addressed.
  14. I can verify that he will pull his weight in dps, very experienced raider
