Role player on the Progenitor (EU) server.
  1. Perhaps infiltrating the non-RP player community and start requesting chat bubbles there is our only hope now? It shouldn't be needed really, but since EA bought them I think the above is sadly true.
  2. Just like to say this is the best RP forum, and all chat about RP should be done there, according to me. Much easier to organize threads as we like, add images etc.
  3. Already given my support before in a little longer post, but I'll do it again. This is a great idea and the developers needs to take it seriously.
  4. I wonder why those of you who do not want the chat bubbles so strongly argue against them? If (and they should be!) the chat bubbles are implemented, we clearly stated in the first post of this thread that we should be able to toggle the chat bubbles on or off. I would without hesitation pay once (as I did to receive the Digital Deluxe edition of this game) for an optional game update labeled CHAT BUBBLES. That way, those of you that have no need for them, would not have to pay at all. Sounds like a deal Bioware (EA!) and SWtOR community? Chat bubbles would provide a huge relief during role play gatherings with more than ten people participating, when everyone speaks at the same time. Bazaars, political gatherings, rowdy cantinas; all of these events would benefit from the chat bubbles! We would easily and fast be able to determine from where someone shouts, and if a private conversation should or shouldn't be heard from where your character is positioned in the area. As it is now, one first needs to check the character name, and then peer into the large crowd and attempt to find the character. It's not only in the crowd of rolling players chat bubbles would add to the interactive storytelling we RP'ers are so fond of. Someone wandering the wide plains of Hoth could decide to call out for his fellows for help her once she gets lost, and maybe attract the "ear" of the enemy to? It would as well be better for our health. Bending closer to and peering into the computer screen isn't ergonomic in any way. All in all: I approve of chat bubbles, and want them added. A small addition to the game, but a large improvement to the RP community. PS. Re: For all I know, this is a computer game and thus everything in the game is virtual, not real... So everything we pay for, it is an illusion .
  5. I like this game really much! Although, there is one improvement you could make: Where suitable, make water deeper and add swimming animations when characters go underwater. Characters will drown if they stay underwater too long (without a breathing apparatus). And don't tell me they never swim in Star Wars. Watch The Phantom Menace. Or The Empire Strikes back (okay, R2 is launched from underwater to land... but he goes UNDER the water). It would be more realistic if, for example, the deep valleys and steep mountains on Balmorra also sported deep lakes. Hutta would be a place where shallow water is sensible, due to the fact it is a swamp planet. Well, that's it practically... Hope this suggestion is read.
  6. Searched the thread with the integrated button below, so excuse me if this has already been asked. One thing that bothers me about the video announcement is this (01:07): "As a free-to-play player you will have three speices to choose from: Human, Zabrak and Cyborg." Does this mean that players going from the subscribed to free-option will not be able to PLAY with characters that are not human/cyborg/zabrak, even if they were created during subscription, and before the launch of free-to-play? This is something I need to know, having a chiss, cyborg and human character (it would make it easier for me to plan when to pay then). Yes, I heard him say it concerned character creation... But I need this clarified. It is likely I'll be switching between being a payment-free and no-limits player.
