im a bounty hunter merc going through the arsenal skill tree so in a group im guessing my slot in a group is dps. when i finally pull my finger out and hunt for a group to play with the above comments will come in very handy

i mainly shy away from grouping up with others as i like to play solo most of the time this is my first mmo and ive got to lev 39 mainly on my own. recently ive been thinking about grouping up with others and your post has really helped me figure out the basics. thanks

ok so i go back to nar shadar to get the yellow datacron. alls going well until i get to the actual cube itself. there seems to be a force field round it. i click on the prize machine protecting it and it says i need a 'slot decoder'? can someone tell me what this is and where i get one from please

thanks for the advice john this is my first mmo and i found your advice/tips very helpful. most experienced players seem to take for granted a lot of things that new players like myself just dont know. its always nice to see some trying to help. i visit a lot of forums on various different subjects and for some very strange reason this forum does seem to have a disproportionate amount of haters compared to helpful participants. you will always get 1 or 2 but im genuinely surprised at the number i see here. the first 2 posts prove my point. when i read a helpful thread and come across a few stupid/pointless comments i tend to just ignore them and carry onto the helpful/relevant comments. it is a shame though when these comments drive people away from this forum once again thanks for the advice. new players like myself do appreciate players like you taking the time to give us helpful advice

hi all. ive never played MMOs before and i find it very difficult to follow some advice threads on this forum as most people tend to use a lot of abbreviations. there is lots of stuff that more advanced players take for granted that casual/new players like myself just dont understand. is there already a sticky for abbreviations on this forum? failing that is there a more experienced player here who is willing to do a sticky? if not id be more than happy to do one (with the help of comments to this thread from more experienced players)

i kinda thought that would be the answer i may do a grovelling letter to customer services to see if they can do anything. i really cant bring myself to roll out another character....

to cut a very long story short myself and a pal of mine live in the uk and have been playing on a us east coast server. we would love to bring our main characters onto a uk/euro server. ive spent so much time leveling up a lev25 bounty hunter and really dont want to do it all over again. also our server (pve) is very sparsely populated and woulld like to play on a server with more people. is this possible? has anyone managed to do it?

thanks for the advice bahdasz. after completing all the missions on hutta and before leaving i did spend my commendations on a chest plate that lasted me quite a few levels. apart from that i havent spent anything. up until now ive only been equipping armor that is better than the last while concentrating on aim over anything else. i did go on gtn last night and picked up a cool looking red chest plate. unfortunately its not modable but has the highest stats ive managed to get so far. i now dont look like such a clown as even though i dont have a matching set they all look red (ish). i have found out that i wont be getting a decent helmet 'til at least lev25 so i'll have to put up with my 1970's cylon/ww2 helmet for a while yet. ive heard a lot about getting orange armor, why is it so good? so far i havent come across it but am keeping an eye out.
