  1. I'd just like to point out I don't even read - I just click stuff and derp 90% of the time. Seems like this thread is for me.
  2. I just wanted to add to this analogy that the coffee was served at 190°F (3rd degree burns in 2 seconds). If the coffee was served at 160°F (which is the max temp coffee shops do) she would have had over 20 seconds to prevent that same level of damage. It was a product safety case. She also got $600,000 - not $50,000,000.
  3. Is there some kind of honor I'm missing when people buy the more expensive listing? As a seller, I'd rather have someone undercut me by 1c. Why? Because the next person can list the same item for 1c less, then repeat until I re-list mine for 1c under the lowest. 1,000,000 <- me 999,999 <- seller 2 999,998 <- seller 3 999,997 <- seller 4 . . . (1day) . .. 999,816 <- me again Vs. 1,000,000 <-me 950,000 <- seller 2 860,000 <- seller 3 500,000 <- seller 4 For sellers, the 1c undercutting keeps prices high. Yes, there is a supply and demand element, but at least the market will gently reach the consumer's buying level. For consumers, and opportunists, bigger cuts allow for steals. However, the people watching the market the most are the resellers that'll take a 300k undercut and flip it right back to the top for lowest price -1c (rich get richer). It all depends on where you are as an entity in the system - that's why we wont all agree - and that's fine. However, if you're taking the 1,000,000c price over the 999,999c item just remember the original lister is likely listing another item 1c below someone else too. Go ahead and spend that 1c more, but don't think you're getting light-side points.

    Sorcerer PvP

All the players talking bad about sorc/Sage DPS are in the 55 bracket. Please come back then.
  5. Really, because of the trade in values; 80 WZ Comms = 40 RWZ Comms 40 RWZ Comms = 40 WZ Comms 40 WZ Comms = 20 RWZ Comms 20 RWZ Comms = 20 WZ Comms 20 WZ Comms = 10 RWZ Comms I'm sorry, what were we talking about?
  6. I'm not going to disagree that it's bugged. It's should allow the damage over 1000 to pass, but it just makes you invincible. I have stopped doing ranked match for the time being with the relic. The bug thread is located here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=686470
  7. Video of Relic in action: Video without Relic:
  8. That was what I always suspected, but I got the relic anyway to see what it did and was planning on just refunding it. It just grants an absorb shield buff that works like force armor. I'm encoding the test video we did to prove. I will upload it here when it's uploaded (it's one take showing the relics and expertise of both players) The only downside I've seen for a healing sage to have this relic is the +20 absorption rating, but when I trade it in for the Obroan that stat is replaced with +20 power.
  9. I made one mistake and it wasn't in the original post. It was corrected. Rejuvenate decreases the force cost of Salvation by 30% and increases the crit chance of Healing Trance by 25%. Also, this isn't a guide I even said: Post of the people posting keep saying this: You're all so cute. I don't know if there are other stats or if expertise plays into the relic, but I'm seeing the same thing. I had a DPS smuggler use his full rotation on me and only used the proc from the relic, then force armor then rejuvenate. He couldn't do any damage to me with the shield poc and it took him quite a while to even get a good amount of damage off. It could be broken. I'll record a video tonight for the naysayers.
  10. You are correct, I butchered my rotation. It goes Rejuvenate (get conveyance + force shelter), Healing Trance (2 skill points in resplendence guarantees me one charge of resplendence), Force Wave (I have Psychic Suffusion so it heals me and allies), Force Armor, Rejuvenate, Salvation. Ok, by bad, but Conveyance does decrease the cost of Salvation. Convayance also increases my crit chance of Healing Trance by 25% (as you stated) and my 3 points in Force Warden makes it ticket 18% faster. It all depends on the situation. 10 seconds in a bubble is 10 seconds not healing. A normal team will continue to attack a sage in force barrier for a few seconds before switching. Guardians tend to push the sage away from the main group because being out of range means no heals. Some DPS guardians and sents will continue to attack a sage in force barrier to gain charges if they cannot reach another team member. As I also stated, this tactic really only works for when melee calsses are in your face. You can also use force barrier after force speed and cancel it to use force speed again (Point in Master Speed) . Get stunned twice, use Force of Will, get stunned again (because the other it waiting for you to waste your "only" cc break), pop and cancel Force Barrier, you're at max resolve and then you can use Rejuvenate then Force Potency and use charge 1 after Force Alacrity with Deliverance you give a weakened team member a solid 7-8.5k heal and use the other stack with Force mend to give you the health you lost exiting the barrier early. By now my proc from the absorb relic + force armor will prevent any additional damage and I have an option to use my medpack, grenade (melee would be on me at this point because my barrier is down), or continue to mitigate damage with the adrenal. Force Barrier has more then just one use. My "absorb relic" prevents 1012 damage for the whole six second duration it's proc'ed. Mean every single move done to me at that time deals that much less. A op can use his burn rotation in less then six seconds and if he hits me with 4 moves in that time I've prevented 4048 damage to myself then my force armor takes over, and force mend can cover any damage he did over the threshold or my medpac can cover any damage he did over the threshold or even force barrier can be used after that to start the tactic I stated above for HeyImTempzz. Just call me dumb, it's faster.
  11. I haven't done arenas in the normal queue under 55, but I'll try to help. The cool thing is that you have two CC breaks. First you have your normal cc break called Force of Will. When you get leaped to I would advise not popping Force of Will until after a second stun. I'll explain why in a moment. then you you get stunned again you can use Force Barrier and then cancel it right away. You'll now have full resolve (because you were stunned 3 times) and should be able to get a solid cast or two in. If the three other DPS (or what ever combo it grouped you with) are focusing on the other healer they should have him down or killed before you lose your resolve. If the other healer is still alive you can use Force Speed to run around pillars either "Kiting" or "Line of Sighting" the three DPS while they are still on you. I wouldn't suggest always using Force Barrier for it's entire 10 seconds unless it's at the tail end of a match. The attacking team will wait until the barrier is down (and they'll know the exact time when) and burn you again. You can try to throw them off by breaking it as 2 or 5 seconds in and sprinting either away from danger to towards your fellow teammates. Sadly, this is very true. Your biggest heal (with the exception of Force Mend) is Deliverance which is very interruptable. The main heals I try to use are Rejuvenate for the heal over time "HOT", added defense and because it's an insta-cast. Then I'll use Healing Trance directly after because Rejuvenate makes it increases crit chance allowing you to stack resplendence (masih_ad_dajjal pointed my original statement incorrect. Conveyance lowers the cost of Salvation, not Force Trance ). Also, because my crit chance is so high I can get three stacks of Resplendence real quick making my Salvation also an insta-cast. After this rotation my Force Mend should be up to heal myself. I don't use Deliverance much.
  12. I keep seeing posts where people are having a hard time healing ranked arenas so I thought I'd just share my experience and see if it help anyone. I've been doing a lot of ranked arenas and do not share the view that Sages/Sorcs are underpowered, need more defensive cooldown or buffs. I also disagree when people challenging people with issues in ranked matches saying that they don't have skill. Ranked arenas require a new look at playing the Sage/Sorc. I will now detail what has been working for me: Let me first reiterate that ranked arenas do not work the same way as the other warzones. You're objective is to survive, not have the biggest healing numbers or mess around with doors/nodes. The stims and tactics I use in arenas are not the same ones I use in normal warzones, so please don't take my advice as "this is the only way to play." Second, we're not playing in a vacuum, so here are my stats without bolster: =Core= Strength: 145 Endurance: 2565 Willpower: 2334 Expertise: 2018 ==Force== Bonus Damage: 983.8 Bonus Healing: 748.5 Accuracy: 104.00% Crit Chance: 28.52% Crit Multiplier: 72.35% Force Regen Rate: 8.2 Alacrity: 2.71% ==Defense== Health: 29949 Armor Rating: 2750 Damage Reduction: 17.42% Defense Chance: 11.06% ==PvP== Damage Boost: 60.00% Damage Reduction: 37.50% Healing Boost: 20.38% As you can see my gear is far from min/maxed. I currently have one item augmented. I do have 2018 expertise, but why do ranked when you don't have a good amount of expertise? Do normal warzones to get a good amount of conqueror gear (Obroan only gives minimal stat boosts - no additional expertise). The Fun Parts ==Gear== 1. Get your stat bonuses! For normal warzones I mix the Stalker's and Mystic's sets because sometimes a 35 meter Force Slow is all it takes from preventing a cap. However, you don't need it in arenas and you're going to have to use Nobel Sacrifice more often. Just go with the full Mystic's set. 2. Relics I know some people are saying that the Serendipitous Assault relics are stacking, but that'll be corrected. I do currently use one, but my second one is the Conqueror relic of Reactive Warding (Equip: Incoming attacks have a 30% chance to grant an Adsorb Shield that protects the user from 1012 damage for 6 seconds. This effect can only occur once every 40 seconds). 1012 damage might not seem like much, but arenas are about survive-ability. Plus, when combined with Force Armor, it can really mitigate the burst damage from DPS assassians/shadows and scoundrels/operatives at the start of the match. Some min/maxers might say that the stat loss from having +20 absorb makes the relic useless for sages, but when traded for the Obroan you'll see that the 20 absorb is replaced with 20 power (and prevents 1360 damage). This combo has been working for me. ==Items== Bring Warzone Adranals and Medpacs, please. I always end up using 1 of each on each round. I'll use the adrenal at the start of the match if my Force Armor + Reactive Warding have been used up and I'm still being targeted (this is when see the most smashes). I also use the medpac if my Force Mend is on cooldown and I'm under 45%. Grenades are also a good idea. I use the Prototype V-6 Pryo Grenade. I use it mostly when I have two melee in my face because at least I'm causing damage while I'm having to heal only myself to stay alive. Be warned, if you don't already know, there is a new buff called Bastion when using a grenade. Don't use two in a match and be coutisous to other players who might also use grenades as yous will cancels theirs out if used first. Stims should also always be used. I was running with the Prototype Nano-infused Resolve Stim, but health is golden in arenas. The Prototype Nano-Infused Fortitude Stim gives me like 2000 more HP. There have been rounds where I did find myself hovering in the 1200-1600 range during a big dps rush, so I have to say the fortitude stim saved me and my teammates. I'm going to leave it at that for now. If I get positive reactions from what I have so far I will continue to add on about how I use my abilities (which would be a HUGE addition) and what my skill tree looks like. I hate to see members of my class feel so discouraged.
