  1. Unless you count the shipdroid which you get after dromund kaas is completed
  2. I am almost through chapter 3 with my sage and this is the story I´ve enjoyed the most by far (havent done the IA yet mind you). The thing is that the consular isn´t for people who like to jump from ship to ship and kill stuff and save stuff and then do some more killing. If thats what you like you will prefer the JK or SW story. This is the story for you who likes mysteries, diplomacy and Jedi Lore. While the Jedi knight is the one who busts into the imperial base beating up gaurds and defeating the evil Sith, the consular would have force persuaded the gaurds and then converted the sithlord to the light side. As a consular you get more opportunities to show your understanding in the Jedi code, to make others follow the path of light or dark. This is not the skywalker class, this is the yoda class, and most of the hate is most likely 14 year olds wanting to blow more stuff up. If this is not what you are looking for I recomend trying something else, but if you want to dig a little deeper, this is your class. You should note that , as you probably can tell, I´ve played as a lightside, really have no idea how the story pins out as a darkside, but looking back at it it would be pretty wierd from my perspecive. Edit: removed most of the typos, its late dont hate if I missed some.
  3. As a sage this boss is hard when below lvl 30. Simply because he will resist evrything you do including interupts. and slowly outdamage your healing even if you are kiting him. if you are level 30 he can still resist you so interupt as soon as he starts casting, and if he resists pull off a wave to push him back, and if he would resist even that you can stun him. If all this would fail for you over and over you are having bad luck with rng. If you bind your companions attack and passive abilities, you can also easily kite him and should have no problems avoiding the instakill. If you are level 32+ doing this and still miss the interupt I urge to not ask a friend for help. Interupting spells is one of the basics in this and many other mmos, this is a slow cast and if you cant handle this you will have REALLY big trouble with later class bosses not to speak of falshpoints and operations. It´s hard if you are new, but look at it as training, you should not have problems with damage taken unless you are missing interupts so focus solely on interupting him.
  4. Just to clearify, when leveling you pack quiet a punch when specked for healing. ofc not as much as a dps. But you wont have problems with killing stuff. I usually throw out a heal or two on gold mobs, but afar from that its just sitting back throwing out dots or forcequakes.
  5. When killing strong mobs the trick is to allways prio deadly and rupture. When facing a strong and a few standards the trick is to keep the standard ones from attacking you. charge smash pommel strike (battering assault if low on rage) force scream the other mob to cc him slash ravage to kill other standard then you just got the stron left but your hp should be fairly high (esp if you used cloak of pain) and you should be able to finnish him fairly easy. if you are low consider using force choke or camo to get a breather. The main focus here is not to insanely nuke and kill them off as quick as possible but to keep the weak ones from attacking you. This will lowerdamage taken significantly as both weak mobs should be dead before they can do barely anything. In other words dont waste rage on putting deadly saber on standard mobs they die before you get use of your charges and use the rage for additional cc. Also something to look out for, somtimes quinn starts to cc the standard mob and let the strong one dish out damage without you healing. attack the mob if so to interupt the cc. If he ccs the strong mob though it´s a good thing
  6. Force choke is earned for both juggs and maras, it´s an ability learned at higher level though. Old trailers aren´t the best reference material, have a look at your class trainer instead and select show all abilities to know what level the ability is gained.
  7. Damn thats annoying... well I guess i am stuck with ls Jaesa then...
  8. Look around the dev blogs, they´ve said a pvp rating system will get started in the patch in march.
  9. I have a similar question about this companion. I know she is either light or darside. And that depends on the decisions you make at the end of act 1. So I have been mostly light side with my sw (~3000 light ~1000 dark). But I wanted dark Jaesa so i picked all the dark side choices at the chapter finale, but I still think I managed to get the light side version, since she is pissed when I make dark side choices. is it supposed to go like that? Have I messed it up since that would be seriously annoying.
  10. Read the whole thing, had very few valid points... I actually feel dumber since reading it though.
  11. They will implement a lvl 50 bracket
  12. I noticed something funny... no one´s said anything about any of this....
