  1. I'm reading for credits that slicing, treasure hunting, etc, gathering skills will help make you a lot of credits. And since I level too fast, I'll never use the armor I make. So what exactly is the reason to go Armormech? Or any crafting skill at that? I get biochem since those are buffs which I assume is like WoW and are wanted for raids. I know there must be something but as I'm a newbie I have no clue. Didn't get much help on Discord or Reddit. I was simply told end game Armormech stuff sells for a high amount but no further explanation.
  2. I know you have adaptive armor but I actually like using their armor for the first 30 lvls then once I get bored of it go adaptive armor. (just fun actually looking the role IMO) So how is animations? That is my biggest concern. And yea the Jedi Knight story isn't that awful for me...though if its one of the better ones? Idk, I am liking the Troopers a lot more so far. Just...I killed some punk, who was a daddy's boy I guess. Now his daddy is after me. While my master is useless and dies.
  3. I know they are mirror classes. But I am asking about armor and animation. Also how is the story line? I don't like the Jedi Knight's story that much so far...I mean, killed some guy's son. He is mad and sends his lackies to die. Kills my master that I do not care for since never saw him or really bonded with. I hear mix things from google on the armor/animation. How Marauder is only robes, yet that is all I've seen for Sentinels. Can I get some specfics?
  4. When I say fun i just meant gameplay wise. Like in WoW priest is about bubbles and flat heals while a druid would lay down HoT's. At least in my experience. I was leaning towards the Scoundrel because of the stealth as well, sounded better for solo play. ATM, I do not raid due to being new to this game and don't have a lvl 55 yet. I have a lvl 30 and now trying out a few other classes
  5. I know there won't be a best, but figured I'd still ask. Sure they all do their jobs well just in a different style. But, who do you personally find the funnest? Cause I wan to try healing but I can find it dull when I want to go out and fight. I been told in General chat that the Sage is the most "classic" of all the healers. Like I am from WoW and they said they have the bubble shields and HoT's. But what about the Smuggler? Or Commando? However not really looking into the Commando due to having a Vanguard and a Gunnery Command. So was looking more towards the Smuggler to heal with. Or maybe two Sages, I just don't like their companions. And I like doing the whole "companion" thing so figured the Smuggler has two female relationship options so I can have one for each of my Smugglers.
  6. Was going to buy an Authenticator for SWTOR, but found out you can no longer buy it from Origin. Amazon has a seller but not worth the price. And I do not own an Smart phone or a droid. I heard something about the Social Vendor, but need Rank 2 and I am close to Rank1 but I rarely get any now a days since lately there is no chatting in instances now.
  7. Hmm free of charge? Sounds like a hassle
  8. Ah...my gf has a smartphone. Was hoping my ipod could work . I read it was free so maybe I will.
  9. I see one on Amazon, but that is $35 for it... Is there still an app to get the codes? Or out of luck for the security code vendor
  10. Cannot buy one. I try to order one from Origin and it states the product is no longer available. Is there any way to get one still? Or no longer possible?
  11. Yea I went with the flow on the low lvl places, I mean this seems a bit easier to kill mobs without even having a tank. At first it was odd and annoying but soon enough I figured it was common for experience players just running off and pulling. Didn't seem to cause any real harm. But thanks everyone, at least I know it is because of my lvl that it is rough. However, how is vanguard tanking? I am debating between vanguard and Commando....both sound fun and have no clue which one to pick.
  12. Hello, I just recently joined SWTOR So far having a blast, spent easily 8 years on WoW. I tried this game back when it first game out but my computer back then could not handle it and would lag insanely bad! So I dropped it right away since I could hardly play. First character is a Jedi Guardian, lvl 26. So far I've done the first 3 instances, haven't had any real issues. Doesn't even seem to need me for most mobs since players will run ahead and pull without any warning (kinda irrating). Now I can tank bosses just fine, but any way to improve my tanking on mobs? So far my only AoE is the Sweep one and that doesn't hold aggro real well when people don't focus together. Is it just my lvl? Or maybe I"m not doing something right, I do try to switch targets so I can spread my aggro all around. P.S. I am no noob to tanking, I have tanked a lot in WoW. Warrior/Pally/Druid. Kinda dropped off in MoP but in Cata I was tanking all the time in heroics, and a few times in some raids (though I usually was dps for my guild).
  13. So Vanguard is easier to lvl. Low dps but nice mob control(?) Commando, good dps, great healer. Blah lol sadly still undecided. Both sound fun. I'll probalby just try commando out first.
  14. I've tried google but I only get 2012 threads and so I do not know how things are currently. I am making a Trooper, sounded fun. Wanted a range guy and they can pick between all roles. I have a lvl 25 Jedi Guardian, which I love. I know the damage probably doesn't get near Setential but I think I do nice damage. Also, I PvE a lot so I am focusing on that aspect of the game. Not PvP. I use to play WoW, I tended to be tanks all the time in there. But, duel specced for dps when questing, usually tanked for heroics just for the instant queue which I was good at. (druid, warrior, pally). From my understanding from what I read (2012's) on threads is..: Commando deals a lot more damage and AoE. Kinda "snared" to the ground. Basically a turret. Vanguard, basically a close quarter gunner. Want to be 10 meters from though can do some damage from afar. Which is where I"m confused at. I kinda prefer tanks right now but I wanted to be a range. So leaning towards Commando but hoping you guys can help me out a tad here. Give me some pro's/con's. Personal experiences.
