  1. Or they could be using it for storage. In a different MMO I used to craft housing items for myself. And I didn't want to carry them around in my bag until I went to decorate so I'd put them up on the broker for about 3x the highest price I could imagine them selling and then take them back off the market when I eventually went home to decorate. I didn't want to sell them because I'd made them for myself but at the same time if someone wanted to pay way more than it was worth I'd happily take the insane profit and remake myself one. It really shocked me how many times stuff sold at what really wasn't a reasonable price just because I happened to be the one selling it at the time someone decided to decorate. I think mostly it is people just trying to learn what the market is. If there aren't a lot listed and you don't know the market price when you post then you aren't being smart if you don't price for higher than you'd expect... because sometimes things sell because people want a convenience buy and would rather pay 10k more than come back later for a lower price. There's a baby item I make for low levels. Cost is between 250 and 1k depending on crits and market price for the mats. I started out selling them for 3k and couldn't keep them stocked so went to 5k and still couldn't keep stock and now I'm selling out most of the time at 9k. Sometimes I have to relist but more often I have to recraft which to me means I hit the perfect price point. I personally wouldn't pay more than 3k for something like that... but people starting an alt usually have credits to spend and don't care about price as long as it isn't going to break the bank.
  2. If you intend to level an alt when finished with your current character you might do every other planet. I like to do all the quests but they are no fun when grey because the mobs fall down dead when you look at them and there is no challenge. So I tend to do everything on a planet which puts me 2-3 levels high when hitting the next planet so I just do the class quests then move to next planet where I'm maybe a level or two low so I do everything again and it is a challenge. Then take the next char through on opposite planets. I agree with the person who says don't do anything because you feel you must. It's all fun and there are enough alternate ways to get xp that you don't have to do anything you find boring ever.
  3. I kept hold of mine expecting to need it for something in the future and finished the planet without ever using it. Don't worry about needing it - as mentioned it is probably just a flavor item. Although I confess I still have mine... I can't seem to delete it just in case I might 'need' it someday.
  4. I make more on my armormech than any other - as Psankak said I found a niche and I fill it. We are on the same server both making a good profit with what you consider a broken skill. The key is that we found different things to sell and the sheer amount of things you can craft make it easy for a person to pick what he/she wants to concentrate on and make a steady profit. And if someone else comes along and starts making 'my' item I'll just chose another until he goes away. I personally love armormech. If I were to start the game over on a new server it would be the first thing I made again because I find it both extremely useful and a good profit maker. So in my opinion there's nothing broken about it.
  5. I find it mildly annoying sometimes but mostly I completely ignore under-cutters. I get familiar with my market and know what my stuff is worth and then I price accordingly. If someone undercuts me then mine will sell after his sell out. I only put up 1-3 of each item at a time so even if I do undercut someone else his will still sell when mine are gone if we both have good prices. And absolutely buy out the crazy low under-cutters IF you know the market well enough to know for sure you can resell them for at least enough to make it worth having the credits tied up until you can sell that many extra. I also make a few thousand a day just buying stuff people put up for less than vendor cost and then selling to vendor.
  6. The low level ones are actually worth quite a bit considering the cost to get them. I routinely sell them for 4k with some going for up to 20k. It might need posting two or three times but it always sells eventually. And wrists especially seem to be rare and sell for ~40k along with some belts. It does vary a lot - if a bunch of people happen to have the same one then they go down a lot but I just hold mine and post it later - or leave it at my normal price in case the other ones sell out. If you aren't in a hurry to sell you can make a nice profit on these.
  7. Depending what they sell for on the GTN, I've found in some cases it is better for me to buy a second set for my alt than it is to unlock it. Something you might want to think about before you sell off all your extras - if they don't sell much sending the extra to alts will save you CC later. Really all comes down to if you want credits or CC more.
  8. Not positive but I think you have to have certain faction levels to trigger the quests or next step of each quest?
  9. I'm really sorry but please try restating your question. I'm not sure if anyone will be able to understand exactly what you are looking for as it is. I can tell English isn't your first language so not your fault but just couldn't quite figure out what you need.

    Slicing

I see a lot of people recommending to run only lockboxes until max level but I made a really nice profit doing the opposite and running only slicing materials. With the mats, you have a chance to get schematics for the crafting classes - regular ones and augment ones and the low level ones sell for insane amounts (if you get an arm or belt easily 40k and others in the 4k-12k range along with augments that depending on level sell for anywhere between 10-30k overnight). Then I've made about 2 million just selling blue augments with the mats and have tons left I could sell but I just keep slowly (whenever I'm not feeling lazy) selling augments at a huge profit. Always server dependent and I guess if I were smart I'd be quiet and let people keep ignoring the low level missions but really I'd be happy if a few other people sold augments on my server as they sell as fast as I can make them even at what I consider crazy prices.
  11. This happened to me the first time I hit the planet as well. I'd breezed through everything else and suddenly I was dying. I went back to the fleet and spent a lot of my planet commendations upgrading myself and my companion and then went back and could get through it. At the very least make sure you and your companion have upgraded weapons so stuff will die at a decent rate but getting as many upgrades as you can really helps. If it makes you feel better, the rest of the planet also isn't as bad as that one area. Those mobs are just mean.
  12. OOPS! Thanks for correcting that - I've never noticed not getting the skill-up on green but I do remember a few times where I thought I should be a point or two higher than I ended up after a long run of crafting and just figured I was misremembering the start point.
  13. I don't think anyone specifically addressed this one yet although the end answer of getting new schematics was there. There is a colored dot before the name and a level after the name. If you are leveling crafting as you level up they are often the same color so it is easy to confuse them but they are separate. - The dot color determines if you can skill up on the item - The level color shows the item's level in relation to your character's level If you make something with a green, yellow or orange dot, you will always skill up - this isn't random. Green gives you one skill-up, I believe yellow always gives two although not positive, orange always gives two.
  14. Have you gone back to the trainer to get new schematics? Just like mobs, recipes go grey and stop giving you skill-ups. The dot next to it (on the left before the name) will tell you if you can level with it. If it is grey you won't get a skill-up. If it is green or yellow you will get one point and if it is orange you will get two points (not positive on yellow maybe sometimes they are two). Edit: Btw the crafting skills (like artifice) that produce products not materials are the only ones you need to keep going back to trainer. Your other two skills give you new, higher missions automatically.
