  1. This server transfer business is getting downright pathetic. Im going to bust a ******** if I have to rename my main. And to make matters worse, one day's notice? Bioware, you couldn't have planned this idiocy a couple days out? Scrawl 50 Vanguard Canderous Ordo
  2. Amber, Your interest in this thread and this issue is shocking. These issues have persisted for approximately two and a half weeks at this point. After countless threads on the many annoying manifestations of this issue, I am surprised, yet refreshed, that someone at Bioware has taken an interest in Canderous Ordo. Let me give you a large number of things to go on here: 1) When the server issues are happening, the mail system is unavailable. If you are in the process of retrieving messages, items, or credits, you get a failure message. 2) The GTN does not work. When the issue happens, you can search for items, and can purchase them, but your request is not processed until the fit passes. You are unable to list more than one item, as any item you list will get stuck processing. 3) If you are attempting to zone you will get a loading screen until the issue resolves itself. This can be anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes. There are multiple threads in the customer service forum specific to this issue on Canderous Ordo. 4) If you attempt to log to character select, you will get a loading screen until the issue resolves itself. Also, 5 to 15 minutes. 5) If you try to close the client and log back in, you will not be able to reach character select until the issue resolves itself. This can take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes. 6) If you are dead, you are unable to click the return to medcenter button until the issue resolves itself. 7) If you are in a flashpoint you may continue to kill mobs, progress through story, etc, without any issues. Attempting to leave the flashpoint results in the loading screen of death, 5 to 15 minutes. 8) If you are in a warzone the warzone will persist as usual until the conclusion, at which point you will be unable to exit the warzone until the issue resolves itself. Typically, this is between 5 and 15 minutes. NOTE: These issues DO NOT cause disconnection from the server. These issues are NOT the same thing as server lag. I am not so stupid as to confuse the two. To be perfectly clear, we are also experiencing issues with lag in certain places. Lag seems to manifest mostly in operations and warzone, and while very temporary (usually 2 to 3 seconds), often results in a dead operations group. Thanks for your concern, Scrawl 50 Vanguard Canderous Ordo
  3. So I've really gotta know - Where's the fix for the god awful lag that's been happening for two weeks?
  4. One of the major problems surrounding the community relations staff supporting this game is that they seem to be offended, but more importantly, downright dismissive, if players get visibly upset and voice grievances in, what some may say, is an inappropriate manner. Dismissing an opinion because it is communicated in a way that offends the reader is indicative of a larger cultural problem at Bioware. While I personally don't see the need to post expletive riddled tirades on the forums, I also have no intention of always being "supportive" of the efforts of the staff, especially considering some of the problems we face (can the servers be laggier?). They're getting paid to do a job, which should be reward enough for taking care of players concerns. Expecting love and sunshine from the players in the face of mounting problems of epic proportion has got to be one of the more insane things I've seen in a while. What difference does it really make if someone gets upset? Fix their problem so that they'll stop complaining. If you keep getting their $15 a month count it as a win.
  5. One thing that really annoys me is that my characters on the character selection screen aren't always in the same place. I've got 8 characters that I play. As I log in and out of various characters their order on the character select screen basically becomes random, with the exception that the last character I played is at the top of the list. I'd really like to be able to organize them myself, or at least by level, or alphabetically, or something. My second annoyance is ever since the server transfers, the servers are (expectedly) laggier than before. When posting items on the GTN, if I select to post an item, but right click an item in my inventory before the first item completely lists, I'm unable to list any more items until I log out and back in. I don't know if this is a bug, or just an unintended effect of playing on a busier server, but I'd like to see some upgrades to the GTN to fix this, as well as give more options for searching for items and listing items to make my life a little easier. Thanks.
  6. I really don't understand why getting a replacement with group finder has to be so difficult. This is an MMO, so I kind of expect the single tool that's supposed to make it easy for me to find people to group with to work properly. If this is the answer to people spamming in chat for groups, it's an epic fail. I will not waste one more minute of my time in this god awful group finder so that it can give me that stupid error about invalid roles when seeking a replacement. Group finder somehow always manages to turn a fun evening into a complete fiasco. Ugh. Scrawl
  7. Please fix this. Even the knowledge base question in game when you submit a bug report says each item receives an augment slot based on the level of the item. My level 50 Rakata Supercommando's Belt should have an MK-6 aug slot according to their own information. Hopefully this won't have to wait for the next game update to get fixed. Annoying.
  8. A few guildies and I have been working on Lost Island HM lately. The first time we went in we were unable to get past the sentinel droid. We went in tonight, our second attempt at hard mode, and got past LR-5 after about 10 wipes. We were able to down Project Sav-rak after 1 wipe. We attempted Doctor Lorrick about 15 times before finally calling it quits. The zone is definitely doable, but the loot is not appropriate for the difficulty. Our team has mostly Columi, while two of our guys were wearing some Tionese, and the other two of us have a few pieces of Rakata. To be clear, since you need Columi or better to run this zone, most of the loot will end up going to your companions. We're only doing it because we want the Aratech Ice speeder. I doubt that once we complete the zone once we'll ever find it necessary to do it again. While I'm not one to complain about difficulty, the final boss, Doctor Lorrick, can be trickier than intended. The audible cue he gives for his Satchel Charge attack is inconsistent at best and doesn't work at all most of the time. I hate to blame our failure on something as simple as sound, though without a doubt the fight would be easier if I could avoid most of the satchel charges. Most annoying is that this is an audio bug that seems to happen a lot when you start doing hard mode flashpoints (false emperor, anyone?). I really hope fixing this issue is a high priority for 1.3, considering the game has been out for 5 months and the sound still isn't working properly. Our setup was: Vanguard Sage (healer) Sentinel Commando (dps) Good luck!
  9. As it stands now, doing HM flashpoints and story mode ops I have easy access to columi gear. A minimum of one piece drops per flashpoint, and the stuff drops in ridiculous quantities in ops. Every once in a while a random schematic will drop. Some of these schematics are for gear that is bind on pickup, so it's basically good for just you and your companions. Here's the issue: These schematics that drop in HM flashpoints and normal ops are sub columi quality. Energized schematics for armormech are basically equivalent to Tionese gear. So the question is, if I'm running and completing the flashpoints and ops that give Columi gear, why would this be the place where you also give me recipes for Tionese quality gear? If I'm running the op, I don't need TIonese gear, and that's just a fact. Furthermore, the gear that drops that is bind on equip, Dalarian, is complete garbage. The stats are absolutely awful, not as good as most level 49 crafted purples. Please take a look at these schematic drops for armormech. I'm not suggesting that you raise the quality of the gear, but perhaps they should be dropping from lower quality bosses so that characters that actually need the schematics have access to them.
  10. Lately finding groups for flashpoints has been really painful. 1) I've tried turning on the lfg tool and going about my business, but that's not the most effective way to actively and purposefully engage other people that may want to do the same flashpoints. 2) I've tried standing in the republic fleet and spamming in general every couple minutes that I'm LFG for hard mode flashpoints, and while moderately effective during peak times, this has got to be the most boring and unproductive way to find a group. The possibility exists that I may stand there for hours with no luck. 3) I've tried playing my alts and flagging myself LFG with the comment noting that I'm a 50 tank. No bites on this, ever. Waste of energy even hitting the LFG button. I would really like to either a) get a global LFG channel that you can join from any planet, or b) give players the freedom to create custom channels so that we can organize this ourselves on our individual servers. I'm really not sure how improving the LFG experience could possibly be detrimental to the community experience. Isn't the whole point of the MMO that you play with other people? If I don't want to see spam in a channel I have the freedom to drop the channel. No big deal. Help us out here.
  11. How many hundreds of times should I reverse engineer a level 49 green item without ever getting a blue schematic? What number is acceptable? I just want to understand what the expectation is of all the people you claim are happily crafting in the game right now. There are serious issues on multiple fronts involving crafting, gathering, mission skills and reverse engineering. Reverse engineering sucks way worse for armormech than some other crafting classes (such as artifice, which I also have). The sheer number of pieces of armor, each with 5 blue upgrades, plus t1 and t2 purple upgrades for each of those, is completely ridiculous. As much as I like making stuff that no one wants, then destroying it, then getting nothing in return, I am somewhat annoyed that the overall return rate (mats and schematics) for RE is so low. But again, I'm super psyched that you're happily crafting away in game. XOXO
  12. Yes. Ord Mantell, Tatooine, Balmorra, and Quesh are the regular offenders for me. Try opening your character screen when this happens. It seems to temporarily make the issue go away. It's definitely not a driver issue, as I swapped from the latest release driver from nVidia to a beta driver, and there was no change.
  13. Very interesting. My main is 340ish in Underworld Trading and I always log him off with missions going. This would at least partially explain the issue.
  14. I noticed a few days ago that one of my alts has 4 crew skills listed on the crew window. I've picked up Artifice, Archaeology, and Treasure Hunting, but Underworld Trading has mysteriously appeared as well. The skill for Underworld Trading shows 0/400, and there are no missions available when I open it up. I haven't tried just dropping the skill because I have a feeling it may mess something up with my other crew skills. The character name is Scamp, on Kaas City. I hope this helps.
  15. ...when I get in I still can't find a group for the Esseles. There are 21 people in the republic fleet area on the Kaas City server. This is hardly what I would call "full." =\
