  1. What's the deal with 248 gear? Isn't it obsolete with 252/258 gear release?
  2. World PvP? Ranked Warzons? Ranked Arenas
  3. You can go to [iMP]Balmorran "Bug Hunt" and level up your character in 6-7 hours from lvl ~20 to 70. Pubs have a similar options on Nar-Shaddaa, and it also takes like 6-7 hours of mindless grind. Yes, it's boring, but it's still an option. On double Exp weekend it takes 3-3.5 hours to level up your alt to lvl 70, and since there are so many players, you can even go semi-afk as well. I also have an iteresting question: what do people do in SW:ToR when they get all all their gear maxed out? Perhaps they participate in World-PvP (compete for world bosses, gank other players, fight for territory control), dominate in ranked arenas or warzones, or just raid in ez mode?
  4. Since Disney have final word SW Canon, I think it is for the best if they never touched the Old Republic era. Just imagine if Disney decided to reboot KotOR series with the same approach they used to TFA and TLJ. I still can't understand why Disney directors haven't realized what a gold mine The Old Republic Era is, and I really hope they will never do, because everything they touched recently have turned from gold to dust (or something nastier).
  5. BW has turned Revan into a villain that was beaten by combined efforts of [Horde and Alliance] Empire and Republic. Revan was literally butchered for the sake of 15-y.o. kids that knew him from Wiki articles and a couple of mentions in comics. I really don't see any a single way how KotOR III may fix the damage done by SW:ToR. Don't get me wrong, I liked SW:ToR's story, but it feels so separate, even distant from original KotOR. Anyway the next KotOR game will have to be either a prequel to KotOr I, or a sequel (at least 300+ years) to SW:ToR.
  6. Atrocious game engine (still 32-bit and directx 9) that utilizes up to 30% of your PC's resources and still struggles with smooth 60+ FPS, miniscule content updates that take like 1 hour of total gameplay each, terrible CXP system, lots of bugs that make me feel like I'm playing a private server, and completely abandoned PvP. But the worst problem is that in 2019 will be released a bunch of modern fresh MMOs that will cripple the playerbase even more.
  7. I'd rather switch setting either to Great Hyperspace Wars (Tulak Hord, Naga Sadow, Lido Cresh, Ulic Qel'Droma, Marka Ragnos... Tenebrae/Vitiate) or something like another 300-500 years forward (Old Republic's Dark Times).
  8. What bothers me the most s the fact that it's been officially confirmed numerous times that SW:ToR will not get a game engine update (64-bit and DX11\DX12\Vulkan support). As a result there is literally no hope that the game will be smooth and stable for any more or less large-scale interplayer interactions, be it PvP or PvE.
  9. It seems even more pointless because of looming 6.0 perspective which most likely will simply add a new levelcap and make all this Ossus gear obsolete. Personally I'm paying for the next month of subscription only to finish gearing my main in 252 set and comfortably complete 3 remaining class stories. Then I'll unsub and wait for 6.0 or Blizz Classic. So many decent MMOs are to be released in 2019, that it looks like a beginning of a silver age.
  10. In Classic story (1-50) all classes' storylines exist independently from one another and even complement each other. For example a JK you can meet Kalyo, while in JC's story we can interact with Mako. Even more, you can often see how one's actions have an impact not only on class stories, but on planetary arks as well. However since 2.0 class stories have been unified into main story for obvious reasons and this continues up to present day. I perfectly realize there is not a single tiniest chance to get anything close to what we got in Classic story in terms of personal stories, but I have a proposal that may solve some of 2.0-5.x issues. Let's imagine that you are you are playing a JK story past 6.0 patch, and you are having some alts as well. At some point (as a side quest or a main story ark, it really doesn't matter much) you will meet an extremely powerful Jedi Consular, who has unique healing skills and a title of Barsen'thor. If you already have a JC alt, then this NPC you've recently met should retain your alt's look (and perhaps light\dark alignment which would result in some dialogue variations). Since it's your Knight's storyline, where you (your Knight) has dealt with Hutt Cartel, Revan, formed an Alliance and defeated Valkorion, none of post-Classic JC's decisions should matter, because JC was frozen in carbonite, went into exile, helped rebuild Jedi Order on a distant planet in the Unknown Regions (you name it). Same goes with all other characters that you meet. In this manner every other class may be added as a valuable companion to your Alliance and interact with your main. When you switch to your other character (let's say Imperial Agent), she still has her own story (Cartel => Revan => KotET\FE), romances and is not affected by your JC's character story. There is another option, but a more complex one: all your legacy characters' paths converge eventually and you will be able to roleplay the whole alliance as one team. This would allow to establish a personal canon for each player, allowing to use different characters for different chapters or story parts, as a result a single playhrough would affect all your toons' personal stories. In my opinion, SW:ToR has laid an extremely solid foundation with it's excellent stories with unparalleled narratives. I really can't even remotely imagine any other MMO handling such a task of converging multiple characters' stories into one single superstory, and SW:ToR may be the first one to do this. Adding crossing storylines would also solve a giant plot hole for the current story: where are Emperor's Wrath, Darth Imperius, Jedi Master that defeated one of the the Emperor's hosts or a ruthless gangster with an underworld criminal cartel. This would lay doundation to more personal stories, internal relatons between different classes and would finally bring life to quite shallow Legacy system as well.
  11. This is a good indicator that we won't see 6.0 any time soon. Perhaps summer to compete with other huge MMO releases?
  12. I've noticed that some NPCs have an upscaled bt-1 proportions, like Voss commandos from JC story. I also noticed that Nadia's proportions are a bit different compared to Kira's and it seems like she has an upscaled BT1 as well.
  13. Unwillingness to invest funds into engine update (dx11 renderer and 64-bit client) shows that the game has already served it's purpose and is not worth the efforts. I have a high suspicion that the only reason why SW:ToR is even alive at this point is because there is no other SW MMO, and perhaps won't be any for a couple of years at least.
  14. Arkann looks beefier than bt-2 player characters, but he also has a bit more realistic proportions as well.
  15. It's just a matter of personal preference: even while RP-ing an alien species, I try to fit it as close as possible to my personal look. Some people prefer opposite approack, RP-ing lawful evil female character while being chaotic good male. And some just don't bother with RP-ing at all =) Darth Vader would actually fit bt-2.5, because bt-3 has a much bulkier chest and huge hands that match a profile of Arnie in T2 or Conan.
