  1. Yep, majority of those heroics I haven't done since Vanilla so I'm glad to have a reason to go back and do them. Not only that, I can group up with my friends who are notoriously slow levelers. Really is a welcome change.
  2. Yep, agreed. I was impressed with the number of QoL changes they've made in 4.0 and unlike those who think the sky is falling, I love what they've done with heroics & level sync. I know it's old content but it actually gives me a reason to do them again. It definitely shows that Bioware is listening to player feedback when they add things like Legacy Datacrons and additional character slots. Makes me excited to see what they bring in the future. Also glad the livestream had no technical difficulties this time Bring on KotFE!
  3. Hence Chapter 9 is called "Alliances" so I think everyone needs to just get off the ledge a little bit and wait for more information. It sounds like our companions may be around but they're doing their own thing then after the launch chapters, we need to square away their business before they can come back. But we'll see. Breathe people!
  4. For the record Bioware was referring to additional companions in the same vein as Shale or Sebastian. Isabela is being added as a multiplayer character only which is completely different.
  5. I love it here on Jedi Covenant, definitely a nice server all in all. The population seems to be pretty stable. I had 4 toons wasting away on another server that I moved over here once transfers were available. I can't speak for anyone else but I haven't had any latency or connectivity issues.
  6. I like this thread, definitely would like to run with a group more often than not. (Imperial) Decarus, 55 Smash Monkey (Imperial) Shâdis, 55 Sorc, Heals (Republic) Ghanimâ, 55 Sage, Heals (Republic) Questra, 55 Smash Monkey I got other toons but I mainly pvp with these.
  7. Hello everyone, This is my stab at star wars fan fiction. It had been my goal this year to write more often and as a writing exercise (per a friend's request) I wrote something based off of one of my characters. This is about Decarus, a lvl 50 Juggernaut on the Jedi Covenant server. This is Part One, I will likely update this blog at some point this week. I would love any and all feedback. I'm not really a fan of the formatting on blogspot but it seemed like the place to put it. The link is here: http://talesofthemuse.blogspot.com/2013/03/the-will-of-emperor-part-one-star-wars.html Hope you enjoy it! Thanks for reading!
  8. Well, I agree that if the Makeb storyline is simply on par with the rest, then yeah, RoTHC will be a failure because we all want more than that. But from what I've read, Makeb was written as a result of them examining their class stories and where they failed (ie, losing that epic feel after Act 1 for a number of storylines). I don't have the link but Makeb was supposed to be a "return to Bioware's AAA storytelling". Granted, Bioware says a lot of things lately but I'm still cautiously optimistic.
  9. 8 Individual class stories went out the window with SWTOR started to bleed subscribers so this is going to be the norm for the foreseeable future. I accept that, even if the majority of the fanbase seemingly hasn't it. This is just the reality. My hope is that the story content is great, that it entices people to play again and the income starts to flow again so we can see those individual storylines again. But until then, I'm content to see more of the galaxy that Bioware has created. They can still create good and meaningful stories and I'd be more than happy with that, for now.
  10. I'd have to disagree. For me, the test is this coming year, 2013 and what changes to the game it'll bring, beyond just RoTHC. This past year was a year of flux with a great many changes, staffing, F2P, etc. The model is different, the expectations are different. So I can give them a lot of leeway for this year but I play Bioware games for story. So if they deliver solid story content this year, I'll stay as a subscriber.
  11. Pre-ordered as soon as I heard about it. I will eat up each and every story content they release, whether labeled as an expansion or not. I'm really curious as to their story direction and its a chance to dust off a couple of my 50's that I haven't really played since April.
  12. Nice thread, I approve. 1. I am a Bioware fanboy and I am not ashamed to admit it. There are not very many companies that make solid RPGs and I consider Bioware one of the few companies that do. 2. I love the Star Wars IP, always have and likely always will, regardless of how the Disney Star Wars movies shake out. 3. Community - that is, my current guild is a fun group of like minded people. Makes the experience all the more enjoyable. 4. I haven't finished all the character storylines yet. Four down, four to go. 5. Hope for the future. I want to see where the story goes for my characters, whether class related or not, it doesn't matter. Bioware made me care about my characters far more than Blizzard ever could.
  13. Not really. Everytime a new expansion comes out in any MMO, you have people max level in like a day or two. I'll be disappointed if the story is lackluster or if the Makeb design follows the earlier planets.
  14. Happy Anniversary! May this be the first many anniversaries for TOR.
