  1. Don't have a job and play all day. I finished grad school in Dec and until 2 weeks ago when I finally landed a job, I made boatloads. Now, well, still making money because I can log on on the weekends and unload some of my stockpiled crap. As others have touched on, timing with CM stuff is critical. People will rip crates and unload what they don't want as soon as it unlocks. Save it. There are items no one wants ever and will never increase (Ancient Soccorro) too much but that is rare...I've sold some Series 614-617 gear recently for fair amounts and on volume, significant profit. Having lots of alts helps. Generally, crew missions to bring back stuff are profitable so here again, volume. Crafting makes big bucks, certain items more than others. But hypercrates off the GTN cheap, rip em open and sell the pieces when the crate goes off sale and the supply dwindles. People with RL money wanting to quickly get credits will sell for alot less than the individual parts and items.
  2. Most of the planets we have adventured on offer intriguing possibilities so a case could be made for many. Whatever it is, its likely already deep into development and no amount of suggestion is going to change the SH being launched on April 28th(ish). Of course, people are not going to be happy no matter what they release as Bioware is suppose to heed only specific individual's opinions and everything else is a slap in the face. That will be a fun day on the forums, no doubt. Personally, I'd like to see Voss or Alderaan. A crazy idea would entail ownership of one's own, personal asteroid base with customization options for floorplans....that would be pretty damn cool and lend its self to a starfighter themed SH.
  3. Eh, I lost alot of my character names when servers condensed after launch which was annoying but that's life. I don't think its a huge deal as I've been able to settle on decent sounding names on a couple of alts in the past few weeks with a little mashing together of letters and coming up with quasi Star Wars-y sounding names. That said there are number of unoriginal thinkers playing this game and freeing up some of the unused special character and misspelled variations of "Revan' or 'Chaos-reaperxx' will make them happy so whatever.
  4. Admittedly, I went through a ton of crates, all bought off the GTN. I got 1 out of probably 10 or so crates (240 packs). Gave a couple crates to my wife and she got one. She sold hers, I kept mine. They are rare but available. I'm not a big fan of the giant creature mounts but they look cool as decos and some folks like them alot --different tastes and all. Going for ~12 Mil and up on Shadowlands right now with 7 listed. Pretty steep, but for as rare as they seem, sounds about right in relation to other similar mounts.
  5. They need to add a second pop up window that asks "Are you REALLY sure you want to buy this?" If you click "OK", a third popup needs to be enabled that says "This is a significant sum of credits, are you absolutely positive you want to purchase this item?" If you click "Ok" then, well, you still my get screwed anyway so the its up to you to threaten to unsub and throw a temper tantrum if no one gives you your money back.
  6. I fully expect the 'Costume Designer' feature to tie into collections somehow and work similar to how they work but instead of pulling an entire empty set from collections, you'd be able to pull a skin and place it over your current gear. Like transmogrification works in Wow. You would still have to collect an entire set, equip it to unlock, pay CC to open it up to your entire legacy, and drop the skin on your present gear. It would save players a ton of credits (thus time) in not having to swap mods in and out. You could equip alot of the Ops/FP drops you get and then skin over them how you like. Yet it would still encourage buying of cartel market packs/crates and loose items off the GTN. Something along those lines but I see some flaws in my theory.
  7. I wonder what would happen if people got this worked up over things that really matter.
  8. I'd actually like to see Legacy Storage access on fleet somewhere. (maybe there is but I haven't seen it) I've been there before and wanted to check on something or grab something but I can't unless I go home to get it.
  9. An entire week once a month devoted to your class..... ....errr...but everyone can do it.... ....and no bounty week this month.... What gives anyway? You're a light side Jedi Sage? Say, here's some credits, can you go off this dude for me?
  10. Mass hysteria, dogs and cats living together....... I think the high pitched screeching over this minor issue is indicative of why it should have been nerfed. It was only especially valuable to lazy bottom feeders incapable of stringing multiple thoughts together into a coherent plan to actually utilize game systems to accumulate credits. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to understand the crafting system in this game or the market forces that drive the GTN. But that's too much to think about. People will complain that something is a boring time sink but you take away their ability to stand in one spot mashing one button for hours on end and its the apocalypse. Frankly, its hilarious. People are actually threatening to quit because Bioware screwed up and gave them 8 days ridiculous loot before they figured out they made a mistake. Did they over react? Perhaps, but over reaction is what this community does best.
  11. Tat is much worse than NS in terms of needing more hooks. I have huge empty spaces and unlocked but unused rooms. This is a priority to be sure but I would think its just a matter of allowing a few more and not a major rework and not mutually exclusive. Most planets we have completed missions on would be cool for a new stronghold but I want my own, private asteroid base.
  12. Welp, being that I live in SA, I would really like to go but aside from SWTOR, I'm not much of a gamer these days so justifying the $30 X 2 for the wife and I is a bit difficult. And parking sucks like any downtown venue in any city. So, those of you that have attended these before....what can a person expect? I could probably make my money back on the complementary drinks, though.....
  13. Nice, I love the assorted mercs. It will give strongholds ...some....life instead of having nothing but Jawa conventions, Twilek strippers and monochrome soldiers standing at attention.
  14. In terms of rewarding players who didn't cheat....unfortunately, that's not how the real world works and people are seldom recognized for good behavior. More often, people are lauded for improving themselves after a string of poor choices rather than any recognition to people who have always been resaonably decent human beings. So no, I don't see that happeing. Players will offer outrageous theories as to how many people actually took part in the exploit. (90% of the population! At least 75% of the populations!) but who really knows? The higher the number, the more disappointing it is, though but here too, its the way society works. Upon clearing the Ravagers the other night, someone in my raid brought up the exploit and the raid leader and several others, well aware of the mechanic that is exploitable squashed any notion of employing it to our benefit. In our view, its not worth it....we play the game for fun and cheating really doesn't do anything for us in that regard. What punishment should they mete out? That's hard to say because they risk alienation of their player base....an odd analogy to current events in that punishing the breaking of laws, in the real life example threatens to garner disfavor among a voting block. So what does BW do? I expect a slap on the wrist and/or 'amnesty'. The rest of the players will just have to continue to rind to get their chest pieces with a backhanded pat on the head for being decent and not cheating. And yeah, cheat and get free stuff on one hand, justfy it by offering an opinion on how awful the game is on the other...this too, is how society works. So much hate, unfortunately. /shrug At the end of the day,it really doesn't effect me and I'm going to keep on playing as how I find the most enjoyment so ....whatever.
