  1. I don't mind this "bug" and I don't want it to change. It is easily overcome. Mashing the same buttons and rotations over and over again gets old. A mildly complicated mechanic in a Hardmode FP is a pleasant change. 1. The demands on healing, dps, and mitigation for this fight are very low. a. I've never seen anyone die from anything but the rocket exhaust (or the entire rest of the group dying from the rocket exhaust and the boss slowly whittling the last player standing down). b. It isn't necessary to have two dps, I don't even think it is necessary to have one dps, but I am not sure. (Just because I have never seen him enrage doesn't me he never does) 2. Because the dps demand is so low you have an extra player that can be put on shackle patrol, when I am tanking I direct a melee dps or a poorly geared dps to do this and to not bother with doing any dps. 3. Because the healing demand is so low the healer can be back-up shackle patrol (mostly for situations where the player on shackle patrol gets shackled) 4. Other than when you have to unshackle someone you do not need to move very often ( the rocket exhaust does not change places at intervals of less than 30 seconds) a. Once the tank is in place with his back against the wall nobody NEEDS to move until the exhaust moves to the sector they are in b. some abilities that break the root have a shorter cooldown than time between the rocket exhaust movement so you can actually completely ignore the shackles with some group compositions as long the healer and one other player have such an ability and enough brainpower to hit that button when the rocket exhaust demands they move ( i.e. Troopers Hold the Line on a 30 second cooldown which also helps you to get to the new sector faster with the speed boost )
  2. You will probably be able to get by with 61s from level 50 flash points in the level 55 hard modes flash points. Some people have been whining that they are too hard but I haven't had any challenges with any pugs in several days. If somebody has less than 25k up I notice but I don't get concerned unless both dps are in the low 20's. Mind you I tank all but about twice a week . . . But I really don't care what kind of gear the healer has on. If I play right it shouldn't matter. HOWEVER . . . Please do say at the beginning if it is your first time in the 55 HM. I often announce that it is my first time even if I have done it 100 times. I think I do it mainly to encourage others to do it. . . But yeah it does humor me a little. I very much want to know if it is someone's first time there because it will change the way I tank. It doesn't bother me . . . I just do things a little different. Like I will pull the champion patrolling sith in Athiss further away from the others so we don't accidentally pull three at once.
  3. You are sure to get a variety of heated opinions on this but I would suggest Vanguard for your first tank for two reasons: 1. If there is a mob that you don't have threat on usually all you have to do is target them and fire one basic attack and you will top their threat table for enough time for the situation to stabilize. Your range for that is 30 meters. 2. So much of your mitigation is passive. I often go several minutes without taking enough damage to bother with using any of my defensive cooldowns on my Vanguard. Where as with my shadow it feels like every other action I take is with the intention of either mitigating damage or self healing. Once you have reached end game it probably won't matter anymore as you will have learned your class by then. I can't speak for guardian as I don't have one but I do have a 55 vanguard and a 55 shadow and I tank with them both.
  4. YES!!! Please allow players to return to Previous location on the hardmode version.
  5. Quite simply accuracy and alacrity are inferior to the "secondary" stats you listed. For example it would be good to replace an enhancement with endurance/shield/accuracy with an enhancement with endurance/shield/defense on it. If there was going to be a tertiary stat for you as a tank it would probably be power.
  6. The double exp weekends were fun, but I won't miss them. There were far too many people in pvp and flashpoints in gear far below their level . . . and . . . simply did not know how to use all of their abilities if they even had the credits to pay for the training. It was fun . . . but I don't want it to be a regular thing.
