  1. I could understand if you got upset with someone who mis-read your post and flamed you on something. What I don't understand is why you would be rude to someone who, although they read your post wrong, was trying to help. I do understand your frustration with the heroic quests though. I would prefer they were marked differently as well. One thing I do that you may or may not have considered with these heroic quests is to do them later on after you have leveled above them. Some of them drop the orange gear for getting an appearance you might like. They also generally offer several of the planetary comms to improve your gear. If you find your gear is starting to get behind the curve, just roll through some of the lower level content heroics and buy higher level mods for your gear.
  2. So, let me get this straight. Your solution is to force PvPers to do PvE to get gear even though they do not like PvE and then force PvEers to do their PvE in PvP zones? I am not seeing a smash hit there. It would be much better to have PvP servers where all the PvPers can congregate and kill each other til their hearts desire and have PvE servers where PvEers can avoid PvP.
  3. I agree. This game has horrible PvP auto-flagging and it is a pain in the rear to un-flag once you get flagged. They really should have spent some resources on that instead of baby tauntauns and companion dances. Auto-flagging for PvP is bad. If I want to PvP, I will flag myself and go hunting. When I don't, I don't want some social reject trying to force flag me so he and his cohorts can get in an easy gank. I can't believe they haven't taken the time to fix this yet.
  4. For me it is the whack-a-mole button mashing frenzy required for combat. I don't have time to type anything and odds are if I was in combat I probably missed anything said in general chat because of the combat spam. EQ was much more chat friendly because of the slower pace in combat but, MMO's seem to have gravitated more towards having to have 30 or so combat skills at your fingertips and having you mash all of them rapidly to be successful.
  5. Would be kind of them to offer us one though after ripping our hearts out.
  6. I believe you may be mistaken there. Unless Dorne is going to be beating them to death with the handle of her pistol, Strength won't even come into play. Aim affects ranged attacks. Aric definitely uses Aim for a main stat, not strength.
  7. That was a confusing issue for me as well but since I hated the hopping around Mario Bros crap, I didnt get alot of datacrons on my first run through to 50. This time around I have been collecting them and as many lore items I can find, just because it is something I didn't do the last time. Basically there are different combinations of the shards that combine to make relics which add more stats just like any other items. I can't remember the name of the site off top of my head but you can google it like I did and it should be pretty easy to find.
  8. I do feel for the people who have time restraints and find it difficult to get groups together for FP's. I am against the idea of soloing flashpoints, except for farming the ones you can solo, even though I don't even do that. There is so very little in this game that actually requires a group and none of that is necessary to complete your storyline. If you think it is hard to get in a group now, it will be impossible to get one if they make these solo-able with companions. It completely takes out the incentive to group at all. If you can solo FPs with companions, why not add heroic 4's to the list? Then you get a bunch of people at the end of the game who have no cencept of how to operate in a group and that is bad for the game in my opinion.
  9. and yet there is no day/night cycle. good luck selling that.
  10. I was against the legacy concept from the moment they mentioned it. I just wanted the ability to use surnames, instead they come up with this fluff system that still really screws you on surnames.
  11. I was starting to think troll too when he wasn't seeming to understand what I was trying to tell him. I am now starting to believe that he just went for 16 levels as a commando without training ANY commando skills from the trainer. That would explain the issue he was having. If that is indeed the case, I am surprised he made it through to that point at all.
  12. Good fan film but Satele was one ugly chick in it.
  13. this 1.2 patch looks to make ammo expenditure more of an issue so enjoy it while it lasts. I keep hoping they will ease off on how drastic they are changing us though. I think I could handle having the effectiveness of our heals slightly reduced like they plan but, the ammo increases could be an issue.
  14. Oh my, you are still stuck on this mission? I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt but either you are trolling or you didn't learn anything about your class over the 25 levels you have played. I did this mission twice, once as a combat medic specced commando and once as a tank specced Vanguard and neither time was difficult. As a medic, I just sent in M1-4X and kept him upright with AMP/MP spam with kolto bombs and hammer shots sprinkled in. When the damge was under control I would toss some grenades/sticky bombs and various non-channeled, low ammo cost dps abilities until he was dead. With the Vanguard, I used Dorne to heal me and just got in close and concentrated on interupting his channeled abilities while I killed him. Use your abilities. As a commando, we don't have a large variety of interupts but there are things like cryo grenande and concussion that can interupt his channeled abilities. You can even use your 20 minute cooldown ability to reset your cryo grenade and give you a Heal over time for a minute if its really rough. Don't forget your shield ability as well, it gives you a 25% damage reduction for something like 12 seconds, that is a huge help since the whole fight shouldnt last more than a minute. If all this doesn't help, I don't know what else to tell you. Just grab someone who is willing to team up with you to knock it out. This is about the point where your class skillset starts to come to fruition and you need to learn what to do and when to do it or else you are going to have some serious problems later on the harder planets.
  15. I agree with this 100%. This is what turned me off to pvp years ago. It wasn't so much me hating on people who pvp'd but because of pvp issues my classes were "adjusted" and were hurt more in pve. Because of this, I developed an animosity to all things pvp oriented.
