  1. It's not patching for me also and I'm not using the game thru Steam.
  2. Where is the questgiver for the daily ingredient gathering mission? I have the weekly but don't see the daily anywhere.
  3. EA won't supply Bioware enough money for anything major. Instead EA releases just enough to keep their micro transaction program going. Lately EA has totally disregarded what fans want in all their games. They've also ignored Bioware and any ideas Bioware wants for the game. EA is looking for quick money and ignores subscriber money. EA has done Fallen Order and Squadrons under Disney's scrutiny Disney does not want micro transactions in their games. Personally I don't mine them but don't like them making it the forefront of their content. SWTOR was grandfathered into the Disney buyout of the Star Wars franchise otherwise you wouldn't have micro-transactions now. Content is not Bioware or LucasArts fault...it's on EA not wanting to pay the former in creating new content of any significant size. Surprised as Mandalorian is a big success and has brought many new gamers to SWTOR. Streaming has also brought many to the game. I'm stumped as to why they aren't making the investment SWTOR is a solid MMO game. EA made the mistake of over spending on the trailers rather then game content.
  4. That's not EAs area with the game. That's Bioware's area. Bioware developes it. Lucasarts give the thumbs up or down EA is the distributor. EA creates no content.
  5. And programmers can't work from home?
  6. If EA can shell out $100 million for politics I would hope they are developing new game content for subscribers who write them a check every month. I don't care about your political opinions. But when you have an MMO game that could use a little TLC then I pay attention. Take care of you subscribers first (who faithfully give you money every month) before you drop a bucket load of cash on politics. If you can afford it you can afford to add more game content.
  7. Environment! You nailed the story-telling, I think some parts are excellent. You nailed the music, obviously. You nailed the special effect sounds. You nailed the art. But I'm not immersed because I'm playing on a painting. No movement in the sky, no changing weather patterns, or going light to dark. I hate to bring up the elephant in the room. But I was a serious WoW player for 5 years. A big part of what sucked me in was the feeling of immersion from the changing environment. Seeing areas from different perspectives. I've leveled a trooper to 50 and am not leveling a JK in the low 30s and the game is 3 months old. It just doesn't feel live and I'm not drawn to it like the elephant. Not leaving yet, just disappointed.
  8. I finally hit 50, I didn't want to grind right through so I took my time. My only real disappointment in the game is environment. Where's the weather patterns? Would have liked to have seen Typhon in a changing day/night scenario. The rest of the game so far I've really enjoyed. I'm playing a Republic Trooper Vanguard. First 20 levels were awesome, then fizzled down. Got to let my buddies catch up...so I started a Jedi Knight. Not sure if trooper will be main anymore. Cheers to you Bioware
  9. Done the WoW thing for 6 years, I have chosen a new path. Don't want to look back. No crutches.......I mean meters.
  10. Even with the big PVP games like CoD you have to play through the game before you can get into the PVP side of it. At least that's how my son presented it to me. I don't play console so not 100% sure. But when you put the CoD disk into the console for the first time. It doesn't drop you into a pvp queue. Instead you play threw the game.
  11. You really shouldn't expect a whole lot out of PVP before launch. I never understood why so many jump right into PVP without capping first.
  12. I'm glad I read this post. I almost changed my pre-order to be shipped to my house. It would have sucked to be turned off on the 20th. Then having to wait the 2-3 days for the retail code to make it to my house.
  13. Way way way too early to be crying for nerf. I can't believe you actually started this thread. Game is still 5 days from launch. Talk about impatient, shouldn't we let Bioware get enough data first before changing anything. I would recommend level capping before you start throwing "OP" out there.
