  1. Having just compared them all just a few hours ago, i'm quite sure they are exactly the same while the 2.0 stims are not, and i really want to know why they have opted to change it, to promote a market for an item that is annoyingly costly to make? bleh knowing the dev's, they simply screwed up imo I do have to agree with you tho, they have made the craft much less appealing over time
  2. Above that, there isn't even a point in trying to get the purple reusable stim/adrenal because they are now weaker than than the blue versions, makes a whole lot of sense to change how the proc progression goes for 2.0 when previously the only difference between green, blue and purple was duration (with purples being reusable of course)
  3. I'll indulge this statement for a moment, by saying, if they are so rare, why, in SWTOR, have they given a purple lightsaber to nearly all NPC who use one?
  4. So basically your saying, either buy it off the GTN or spend 3600-7200 cartel coins for one on the market? I'm sorry, i have to agree with the OP, i think crystals should be purchasable from the cartel store just like the ones that are already available and not some random drop in a worthless cartel box (which we all know don't ever give what they say they are supposed to). i think a price somewhere between 800-1200 is much more fair (i forget right now how much those orange/yellow ones are, though they also have a level restriction of 36 too), maybe even 1500 for a level 10 version
  5. Costello, i completely agree with you sir. I have been unimpressed with the cartel store to date also. with the exception of the axes (which are ugly imo) and a few of the hidden "rare" items (ie crystals, speeders, pets) in the over glorified cartel packs (total waste of cc's) nearly all the "armor" they have put on the CM has been retooled from stuff i have actually worn in game, i'm sorry, but taking ingame items, retooling them into sets with a little recoloring does not constitute something as "new" at all. if i can get it in game for free, why in my right mind would i pay that much for it on the cartel market? i'm a subscriber, i've also been playing since the prelaunch early access, and i'm seriously disappointed with the direction this game has went. the developer attitude now seems to be "lets put more shinys on the cartel market it to blind them from the game crippling bugs we dont seem to want to fix" Such a waste of what could have been a wonderful game...
  6. Thank you for an utterly useless bit of sarcastic drivel, i'm sure that is going to make worlds of difference, moving on... @Lexster Finally, someone with something constructive to say. Thank you
  7. @Quraswren I have a biochem, i enjoy biochem, i'm not scared of a nerf, if that is what it takes to be even, fine, what bothers me is some of the ridiculous reasoning behind why it should, and about 80% of those are people whining because they seem to think they are being cheated in some way, or that its mandatory for end game, or any other number of silly reasons. If you want to say "Nerf it, its OP!" please, just come up with a more thought out reasoning than veiled jealousy. I'm all for balance however it comes, I am just against negative feedback and nerf hammers
  8. Yeah, the biggest problem with beta was the people participating, sure they reported some of the issues, but at least 70% of those people were "COOL I R PLAYING BEFORE EVERYONE ELSE!" which makes beta testing fail
  9. You know, I completely agree with most of your assessment. For a nerf it wasn't bad, could a been worse, could have been better. Slicing is not the "o.o mass monies!" everyone seems to believe it is supposed to be, and i'm sure that stemmed from the broken version it was in beta. I do disagree with the quoted statement. Because it applies to all crew skills, each one fills a niche that a player, while leveling to 50, will have to spend credits on. Agreed, biochem provides one of the costliest of those items, but does that mean its mandatory? or overpowered? No, I have never used adrenals, only rarely have to use a med pack and the only reason i took the craft was for the implants. stims are handy as well. Even so, its no different than a cybertech making their own mods, any of the armor crafts making their own armor, or anything else, doesn't make the argument wrong, its a true argument, but people seem to believe based on some of the remarks i've read that Biochem has to spend no money at all, which is untrue and where that argument stems from in the first place. I'm a biochem and constantly broke
  10. Yeah, they will, and its unfortunate, and in no small part to this negativity from the player base as a whole. Negativity begets negativity - no positives come from this. No body wants to take any time to provide an alternative that will be beneficial, because that requires thought, and previous MMO's, which shall remain nameless, have taken away any need for that what so ever past "how many abilities can i attach to this macro" which is causing handicaps in this game and its pathetic. its as if thinking....is a foreign concept, no one thinks, no one offers, everyone just judges whines and complains, which gets nothing but a negative result. Complain about vendor prices, complain about availability, complain about the things that are lacking, don't complain about the skill that they were successful at creating, make them make the other crafts successful instead. but, no, you all want to take the nerf bat shortcut and make the good stuff down to worthless level instead, way to go......
  11. Sorry, yes, i had meant to reply to this, i was at work and forgot. You can either sell your crafts if you think you can profit from that, or you can, like i did, use my craft to save me money on health packs/implants while i leveled and be able to put those credits elsewhere (mods, gear, weapons, etc)
  12. your confusing adrenals with stims, stims are 60min buffs, that you lose if you die (unless your using the 2hr long blue versions. Adrenals are 1 hit wonders that boost you for 15 seconds and then end with a cooldown before you can use another Edit for clarification: Stims being the 135 edurance + +xx defense you mentioned, so far as i know adrenals with stack with stims, but i'm not sure if adrenals and relics stack of if they are on the same CD, i haven't messed with adrenals much, never had the need as of yet
  13. Biochem crafts the stims, medpacks and adrenals that are similar to the ones available on various vendors around SWTOR, they also craft implants which are different from relics and you can wear two of them under your earpiece slot, aside from this, there is not much special about it, other than the saving money like you said
  14. And all those folks screaming "NERF NERF NERF" had nothing to do with it, Bioware, despite how it seems, does listen to its community, and if you demand the simple solution so loudly, its most likely the one you are going to get. on another note, Slicing is far from useless even after its revision
