  1. i am not talking about friends I make on Swtor most of those are in my guild and any i meet along the way as a character stay with that character. that said I play a lot with my real life friends who all have up to 12 characters each so i have four R/L friends and so that's me imputing 48 characters in to each of my 16 characters friends lists it gets tedious. that's why my original idea is an account based list that stores each friendly toon once and can be referenced by each of your own characters, the benefit would be less useless data stored on the servers as each account would have one friends list database than upwards of 12. I never mentioned account names or any of that stuff and my real life friends want me to know there on cause they are waiting to play with me.
  2. Is it just me or does anyone else wish the friends list was account based instead of character based? so sick of writing my friends names down for every one of my 16 characters
  3. I can not log in keeps directing me to forums and says the patcher is temporarily unavailable any way of bypassing the patcher ?
  4. I don't know what experience you have had with MMOs but i have been playing various ones over the last 8 or so years and some of the F2p ones with LTS are still going strong and are every bit on par with Pay to play ones and it hasn't harmed their longevity. Also what a dev says in pre release and what happens during the course of the game after it goes live are vastly different. I would even be open to pay for limited time plan like pay 250 get 5 years either way i love the game and will continue to play and pay it would be nice to have that option is all i am saying.
  5. I strongly disagree dude the fact that i would if allowed shell out 250 bucks in a single hit is not the end of my spending money on SWTOR, in the last month alone i have purchased 50 bucks of cartel coins in order to customise my experience and that isn't likely to stop, so when you state it would harm the revenue stream i have to say you sir/ma'am are dead wrong. Games like Champions online offer a very successful model that allows for life time membership, sub play and F2p. On the contrary i believe it would increase the revenue stream not decrease it. Not to mention by buying a life sub i am showing my intention to play for the life of the game and while doing so keeping the game well and truly supported, now multiply that factor by a few hundred people that might also take up the offer. For another example of a system that just introduced this model look no further that the Secret World. Anyway i would dearly love to hear an opinion on this from The game owners themselves.
  6. While i appreciate the negative comments and respect that its your view, what your not taking into account is that I and many other like me are able to make the informed choice of paying for the lifetime offer should it be offered. It doesn't matter to me whether some people think its a sign that a game is going badly because in my opinion its about my confidence in sticking for life with a mmo i spend a large chunk of my free time playing, and i prefer to have the freedom to play and break at my leisure and know that i can come play whenever i choose without worrying about sub fees
  7. Hi Peeps just a quick question for the owners of this awesome MMO, do you think its possible for you to offer a life time subscription offer like games such as The secret war or Champions online and such. I cant speak for others but i wouldn't mind a once off payment of 250 bucks in order to play unlimited Swtor.
  8. If you read through the release notes any guild affiliations are not carried over you would all need to transfer separately as individuals and then hook up on your new server and reform your guild. At least that's the way i read it.
