  1. Says it right at the top of the link. You're looking for the Unstable Arbiter's Lightsaber. They tend to go for eight or nine figures on the GTN.
  2. I wasn't subbed, so I didn't get it. If I can get it in the future, awesome. If not? Oh, well. It's something I'd really like, but I knew I was missing the subscription deadline - that's all on me. I was subbed for Nico Okarr and Shae Vizla, and it'd be no skin off my nose if those rewards later became available to people who didn't qualify for them. About the only thing I'd care about if exclusive rewards became less exclusive is that they make them all available, rather than picking and choosing. But, again, it's not something I'm holding out for, or even asking for.
  3. I will absolutely cop to the fact that the plural of "anecdote" is not "data." That said, I still believe extreme rarity is a good thing in a game. It's good that almost no one gets to have, say, Senya's lightsaber. People shell out money for the hope that they get to pull one from a pack, and they grind out credits for the hope that they'll have enough of them, at the right time, to buy one off of the GTN. Those are all positives. There's all kinds of awesome stuff I'm never going to get to have in this game, but I can prioritize which of them I intend to work toward and, if one such item becomes unavailable, I set my sights on a different one. It's okay for players to be disappointed by an inability to acquire something.
  4. I'm a super-casual player - don't PVP, don't do OPs, almost never even group up - and I very comfortably and reliably hover around the mid-eight-figures, in terms of credits. If a player as comparatively lazy and antisocial as I am can get there, I feel like it's probably not a stretch to assume that most anyone can do it. I don't currently own any platinum items, but I like that they exist, and I think they're good for the game. People want tremendously rare things, so they shell out cash to play the odds for them on packs, and then others shell out monstrous sums of credits to acquire those items on the GTN. It's good for company profit (which keeps the lights on), and it's good for the people who're either lucky or driven enough to acquire these prestigious items.
  5. While we're on the subject of things that were supposed to have dropped in the most recent pack and may or may not have, has anyone seen the Sith Profane Mural?
  6. In my no-way-will-they-do-this vision of events, SWTOR embraces the generational nature of the Star Wars epic, and the next expansion somehow advances the timeline to focus on the "heirs" - whether literal or figurative - of the Outlander. I mean, obviously, it won't happen, but a boy can dream.
  7. Indeed. For people who live in the most populous urban areas of the United States (which is where I'd wager most actors, voice or otherwise, tend to live), $75k/year is not much more than is necessary to live what's considered a comfortably middle-class lifestyle. So, it's basically enough to have a modest home, with basic needs met, and to put some money away, each year, with maybe a little bit for luxury expenses, like the occasional vacation somewhere nice.
  8. I'd definitely like Tora as a (potentially romanceable) companion.
  9. The Fountain of Blood and Fire, probably? I never see it on my server for under 50 million, which is really rather more than I'd prefer to invest into a single decoration.
  10. This is always a flawed idea - it contributes to driving down the rates of the most well-paid professionals in a field, as well as making it harder for new people breaking into the field to earn a living wage. Speaking as someone who works as a freelancer in a creative field, this (which is to say, not bothering to try to work around the needs of your skilled professionals, and instead just hiring someone cheaper) is a bad practice that makes for inferior product.
  11. I could definitely go in for some Imperial officer personnel decorations for strongholds, though it makes no nevermind to me whether they're male or female. I'd probably prefer a relatively even balance, but I'm not picky, at this point.
  12. This is not a good time of year to expect prompt replies. People have their own lives outside of their jobs, and I'm sure quite a few of them are spending the holidays with friends and family.
  13. Recently saw some red and purple holographic trees (which is to say, two separate types - some red, some purple) down in the depths of Nar Shaddaa. I'd love for those to become available.
  14. I could certainly get behind this. Perhaps an inscription along the lines of, "In memory of Alderaan's most beloved princess - a great general of the Republic, and a hero and an inspiration to many," to acknowledge not just her role in the films, but also her real-life advocacy.
