I decided to try Sharpshooter. I'm liked it and stuck with it now.

It's been a couple years since I played, and with so many changes since then, I'm really having a tough time choosing a level 65 class. I'm thinking about the changes yet to be made in July, too. I started a Sorcerer, but haven't tied myself to it yet, that is, I can still delete and choose another class. I want range dps, with some defense/healing. I think Mercenary is due some nerfs, like the Sorcerer. I need to play solo. Also the Sorc is light armor. . Could I please get opinions on Operative, Sniper, Scoundrel, and Imperial Agent?

Can we transfer, mail, our character gold to our other characters?

And Sorc and Sage do it too dang slowly. I just want to get in there and batter the enemies when they get too close.

Thanks for replies. What does it mean: If you use the token, you are locked out of the character's class story, class-companion stories. What would be the drawback to that? I want new experiences, like a whole new story. It's why I would choose the token. I have other characters to continue their stories. It's why I asked for suggestions because I've been away from the game for two years, and there have been changes. I need now to solo and want to play a viable solo class.

Thanks. I do prefer ranged, but also like to melee if needed because enemies close in on you. How is the Sage now? It's what I would like to try for my new level to 65. And use a melee companion.

I need to play PvE solo, and I tend to play defensive. What class would best suit me? I prefer Republic.

I'm returning after two years, and want to choose the level 65 new character. I don't remember well my classes from before, but I tried them all and most were level 60+. I now need to solo play, PVE, so with many changes in two years, what class do you recommend for me? I know there are other things this would depend on. But I just need some idea of what to expect, and what would fit my needs. I play pretty defensively. Starting with a new high level character will bring it's own challenges. Thanks.
