  1. sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Welcome to life.
  2. Let's see here... I'm playing a specific role? Check. The game is online? Check I'm sharing the game space with lots of other people who are also online? check. Yep. SWTOR is an MMORPG. Close the thread please.
  3. I think there will eventually be dual specs but it's an MMO so it's never fully featured upon release. It's like the sims games. The sims 3 came out but it's missing 95% of the things you can do with the Sims 2 and all the addon packs. Slowly over additional sims 3 addon packs you get all those features back. MMO's are the same way - they roll out new features in the coming months that were originally planned to be in the game. But allowing players to be able to switch between 2 specs on the fly should be in every MMO game of this nature at launch. Not all players will agree with it but guess what? They don't have to use EXTRA FEATURES if they don't want to. If you want to lock yourself in to one spec, fine? Me? I want to heal flash points and then switch to a dps spec while I'm soloing quests.
  4. I never understood this. If they don't want us to respec, it wouldn't even be an option in the game? So why not just let us respec for free or let us have like 5 different specs to choose from. In a game where you're solo dpsing doing quests, healing a flash point and using crowd control in PVP, it's asinine to restrict players to one spec at a time. Charging money and having it increase each time you respec is lazy game design.Just because WoW did it 5 years ago doesn't mean it should be in a new game in 2011. I love this game, but they just made so many poor decisions and implementations. It's like they took a 6 year old MMO design doc and went from there.
  5. Wow what a d*ck troll response to a legitimate, well written post of constructive criticism. I'm so sick of these elitist "I've been playing MMO's since vanilla wow" (like WoW was the first MMO) who feel that entitles them to be jerks on the forum. Hey guess what? I'm an MMO veteran too, and that doesn't mean I like spamming general chat to pug up, or that I despise modern MMO conveniences like, I dunno, not having to run 10 minutes to get to the flashpoint entrance.
  6. I love how it's always the guy with the worlds fastest internet and best computer, so, hey, it must be the game?
  7. in 5 hours they could implement a new server for entitled gamers who think they know about coding and programming.
  8. If you're like me you're probably going to have more than 1 toon. Just roll a new toon on another server and level it up a bit, then come back to your original one in a week when things have calmed down. man...first world problems are a b*tch, aren't they?
  9. I noticed this too last night. Like "why does this 3rd grader have breasts and a yoga butt?" and then realized how uncomfortable and awkward I felt.
  10. so you heard something totally ludicrous from a kid working at gamestop? nothing new here.
  11. the empire kids are the ones who, in high school, want to be "different" (yet they were just like everybody else who wanted to be different), smoked during lunch breaks , and worshipped the devil. Wait a minute...why am don't I have an empire toon?
  12. Wow....sense of entitlement much, people? Go back and read the EULA (the thing you didn't read, but hastily agreed to). It states they can and will take the game down for maintenance whenever necessary, for however long they see fit, and obviously have the right to do so. Get over it.
  13. I've never played an MMO that didn't have bugged resource nodes. It happens. Just move on to the next one.
  14. What, you don't like going in to PvP as a level 10 and getting facerolled by opponents in their 30's?! Seriously, what the hell were BioWare thinking with this trainwreck? "Hey guys let's take every improvement that every other successful MMO has eventually figured out and implemented into their PvP and NOT DO ANY OF IT".
