  1. It's not the end of the world or anything. But when someone comes to the homepage the screen shots they'll see are for an event from August of 2012. Just saying.
  2. Is there a more basic feature missing from the cartel store than paid name change? My toons from two different servers were merged onto one. I had different legacy names on each server. My first names were designed to match with those legacy names. During the merge I had to choose one legacy name. So now I have some toons I don't really feel comfortable playing because they have bad RP names without the matching legacy name. I petitioned a GM when the merge happened and asked to change my name but was rebuffed. So now I'm stuck with names that don't match my legacy name and are pretty unfortunate RP names without the corresponding legacy name. Its such a simple thing to fix. So why not do it already?
  3. That's total nonsense dude. If you didn't want to wipe you leave group.
  4. You don't notice it so much when the area is crawling with people doing dailies/quests. When it isn't it can be a little overwhelming.
  5. My bind warning is and has aways been enabled. It doesn't give you a warning while the timer is still active.
  6. You couldn't do this before the servers were merged. By waiting unti F2P launches you give inactive players that plan to come back to the game a chance to lock a name and/or pick new names after the reset. It also frees up the names from players that are inactive and not planning to return.
  7. Also, and maybe this isn't true for everyone. But my preview screen isn't working right for companions. So the only way to see if something looks ok on them is to equip it. I got a covert chest bound to me this way as well as two sets of elegant loungewear. At the minimum the countdown should go away once you equip something. Once I accidently equiped the first item I saw that the timer was still there. So i figured it would be safe to try out the loungeware and the covert chest on my companions since the preview didn't work. Now, this is nothing I'm really worried about, i have spares of both so I can transfer them to alts still. But, when you equip something that's bound on a countdown there is no warning it will perma bind. And, after you do equip if there is no indication that it did perma bind and in fact the item still says it will only be bound for a certain time. C'mon. There has to be some fix here.
  8. I don't disagree with you, but given that that's how the system works i think my proposal is a fair solution to somethin that is a problem for large number of players
  9. Seriously, you've never ever right clicked on something you meant to left click?
  10. I accidentally clicked on an item or two Thursday night while opening cartel packs. I didn't get any warning that it would perma bind. Usually you get a warning that an item will bind to you so if you clicked by accident you have a chance to undo it. With the cartel items you don't get a warning so if you accidentally put something on its stuck on you. So now I'm stuck with some items i can't trade to alts. If the items were bind to legacy up equipping at least that would fix the issue for people that wanted to transfer stuff to alts. But people that wanted to sell the item still wouldn't be able to.
  11. One of the big things the community talks about a lot is how names were managed after the server transfers. Those of us that had to move servers that lost our names are upset that, through no fault of our own, we lost our favorite character names. Many of those people feel that we should be given some kind of chance to reclaim those names (although personally I’m ok, I added a silent “H”). But, the people that got lucky feel that it’s unfair that they should have to risk losing their names, largely because they didn’t do anything wrong wither. There have been a bunch of offered solutions that get shot down by one of these groups or the other. Here’s my idea, feel free to shoot it down. Each player would be given one name lock. Over the course of a couple of weeks players would log into SWTOR and choose a single character who’s name is so important to them that they don’t want to risk losing it. This would give those people that were lucky enough to stay on their server the ability to keep one name. After the time to lock expired all unlocked names on the server would be reset. This would result in freeing up tons of names, especially the names of inactive players. Since the game is Free to Play a player that is not active but plans to be active in the future would have the same opportunity everyone else has to choose one name to lock. I think this solution is one that treats all players fairly. It will free up a lot of names for people to try to select again and the people lucky enough to keep their names will still have their favorite name.
  12. I've been banging around with the crew for a little more than a week and I think its a good bunch of people. There's usually a few people on that are in to each pvp, heroics, ops, dailies, griding, etc. So even if there aren't enough people on to form a pvp premade or an op you know you'll almost always have at least a wingman or two to come with you. I recommend the gang at Pax. They're good folk.
  13. Yes. The Guild Wars 2 crafting system is pretty cool. But the TOR crafting system is a big step in the right direction from WOW and some other games. I'm pretty happy with the crafting system as it is.
