  1. Don't tell me what i or people may or may not be pissed about, see i can pretend to be offended too. Also those are absolute excuses of strongholds all i hear on YouTube is people um-ing and uh - ing about how its not as good as the others. And hey if you want to keep it, its totally not like its a separate instant or anything *slaps head*. lmao they are so contextual that most of them are hidden and anyone who doesn't know how to access them cant. Especially when people literally click on little buttons next to the mini map to warzone and GSF and suddenly a billboard is the end of the world, literally no one goes to the GSF section of the fleet to queue up for GSF, So there's your context excuse flying out the window. Here is the part where i'll play the harp or a mini violin for you if only i wasn't being ''oppressed'' by you dictating how i should enjoy my mmo's in SWTOR ah i do ''love'' me some hypocrisy. Go take up with SWTOR level design ''how dare they force a level up apon yee arrgghh me agony.'' Edit: who is yelling? this is in text, the mental asylum is to your left. When i receive actual arguments from someone sane maybe ill come back to respond if it doesn't ''steal me times freedoms'' away. lmao.
  2. My aim here is to centralize the player base & content in locations to make the game continue to feel alive in the right areas with constraints that is the SWTOR mmo. Suggestion 1: Delete the Fleet Have The Capitals be used as Capitals more, when many new players get to the capitals of Dromund Kaas and Corsucant it looks deserted not great if you want to have more subscribers. People want to feel a living breathing world in a MMO - RPG Vets showing off their flashies to the new players giving them tips etc. Also as max level cant think of the last time ive been back to the CAPITAL outside of SH. Everything that the fleet is should be relocated to the Capitals the fleet should be a side thing, if a thing, certainly not the main thing. Suggestion 2: Relocate all side missions from their planets as well as dailies and weekly's and place them on the Fleet (yes back to reality) in a area with a 'Seasons Bill board' in which everyone can be accessed. Think monster hunter stories 2 sub quest billboard but star wars themed where you can access the heroics and all missions not pertaining to the Main Story. This works extremely effectively with MH series and how they retain a large player base post game. Suggestion 3: how to handle the NEW expansion in relation to the multi class thing, A big part of SWTOR is the class story and it's welcoming story streamlined you into the game *and what made it extremely grindy was the side quests that are now hidden due to immense feedback (check suggestion 2 in how to make use of them with seasons)*. New players should be focused on the experience and learning the basics, once the class story finishes and they are at level 50 they can be opened to this new ability. The vets have mastery of 1 class first before being subjected to further move sets and features mixing, it also gives a sense of exclusivity to the vet subscribers. Suggestion 4: Add Lifestyle features Every MMO has lifestyles features such as playing the harp, fishing, playing cards etc make more of those in a enjoyable way that may involve a multiplayer aspect in a multiplayer game.
  3. I actually don't want that to happen and completely understand where you are coming from. Context: What I was thinking about is taking the already existing lore / infrastructure of zakuul we already have and rename it. e.g instead of Pub/Imp Troopers have Sky Troopers, the knights of Zakuul become the Knights of the Alliance, instead of the Jedi and Sith order have another order form. Instead of black and red (on the flags, uniforms, etc.) Have White and Gold with a new symbol for this third faction because Black/Red is Empire. Geography: In the Alliance the west portion of the galaxy (zakuul - Capital City / economic hub, Odessen - de facto military border front and Iokath - manufacturing and industrial center) all this area will be the new faction's domain and will join forces into one. Willingly so, since the alliance had free zakuul from eternal tyranny and of course because they will be the main heart culturally, economically, Capital hub of this NEW faction. IF the player had chosen the darkside ending option zakuul wouldn't really have much of a say anyway. ( This unified territory allows the Alliance to be a serious enough concentrated force like the hutt cartel faction.) How it fits into SWTOR: The Empire and the Republic have their own forms of government and are strong believers in these forms (democratic or technocratic as George Lucas put the empire). Both factions wish to expand it's government. The Alliance however is exactly that, a alliance of other planets not opposed to independence OUTSIDE of its domain and as such the alliance can be open to doing missions and helping varies planets including the Republic and Empire through the duration of SWTOR. The system of this Government will be some form of Kingdom that can use the Tributary System with those around the Alliance's sphere of influence and standard trade for those outside since it did all of this within the story. This idea pretty much cancels out a lot of holes because it merges the 2 player stories of sitting on some throne and peacekeeping, reincorporates Zakuul into the lightside player faction and also the fact that the Republic and Empire have now regain their strength, the little Alliance has to now survive. Lastly, I would also add that players would have a choice to go back to the Empire and Republic or choose to stay in the new third faction. Exactly, I agree.
  4. I have not played the latest updates yet however I would of liked to see Zakuul be the capital of the 'Alliance' third faction. When I left off I believe my characters chose to be either 'The Peacekeeper' or 'King/Queen' of said Alliance. I personally would have preferred the Odessen base to be and we rebuilt it in Zakuul where that forest area was located. Either way if we had a City as regal as Zakuul was but in Odessen that would be a really great idea for this third faction! It can be used both as the Fleet and Capital City. (which would make sense since Odessen and the Alliance would develop as time went on. )
  5. You would still be able to decide the way in which you view other peoples names on your screen and other players can do the same for themselves as it is a 'view' that can be controlled. By default everyone will still have a last name being the legacy surname, just whether or not we see the full Surname on your screen will be in your control. This way you will be allowed to create characters to have virtually ANY name you like as surname and forename are not restricted to a single entity it is the combination of the two within the character identity that make it unique. How it is all seen within SWTOR however is Customizable by our own screen. Unrelated but the "space in name" system will still be valid.
  6. My apologies I thought they were still unique. But they don't have to be anyways.
  7. Sorry just to clarify as I had to check again how it worked exactly so. Both names are displayed in-game, and both names are required for everything that involves specifying a player's name (for example, sending a /tell, sending a party invite, adding someone to your friends list, etc). However, through the game settings, each player (me and you) can choose to cosmetically abbreviate other players' names in certain parts of their user interface to reduce visual clutter. The possible choices are: •Full forename and full surname ("Mike Jones") •Full forename and first letter of surname ("Mike J.") •First letter of forename and full surname ("M. Jones") •Initials ("M. J.") Also note that it is the combination of the two names that must be unique for your particular server. Several people may have the same Forename or Surname, but no one can have both. (this is FFXIV rules)
  8. Yes exactly, they did add the option and you can hide legacy surname. That's why I think we can now have the opportunity to have multiple same first names in SWTOR kind of like FFXIV has if you have played that.
  9. As seen from other titles a great solution / compromise would be to have a First name and Last name system which we DO already have and so we can maximize its potential by adding the ability to Hide the Last name. So the legacy name can act as the last name giving everyone access to first names. For example Person A. First Name = John Last Name = Doe. Person B. First Name = John Last Name = oompaloompa. Both people can be seen as John D. and John O. in game if they choose to toggle 'Hide'. This would allow a lot of freedom to acquire varies names and allow everyone to have equal access to the first name without having to be burdened by the last name if we choose to toggle 'hide'. PS. This is also realistic since there are many John's on Earth.
  10. Just to Add I am one of those subscribers that really wanted this beach home on this Planet for my Smuggler so luckily the hideout has a house for me to use.
  11. What you guys need to realize is that because of the HUGE size of the Stronghold only a specific type of Subscriber will be using it in fact there are structure's and environments that are unusable and un-able to be opened within this stronghold. Many people I speak to enjoy homely residential areas. This is not to say you guys were lazy and just decided to give mass open world at the expense of detail and interaction. Actually it is the opposite there is a lot of detail and work put into this stronghold to make it look amazing.. not everyone will use it or can. In my opinion, the incredible work you guys have done could be better spent in providing more compact options in the style of 3 stronghold variations of the same planet. As opposed to 1 Huge Scaled zone. Size 1 Big 1 Medium 1 Small Some examples could be say zakuul Planet: Large - The size of Tattooine's Stronghold or Smaller. (A Zakuul Vaylin style Palace) Medium - A Villa the size of Narshadaa's Stronghold. Small - Kaliyo Apartment/Penthouse (Agent theme 1. Top floor with Vaylin Palace Garden top and a starship hook. 2 .Entry floor with a Spa hook and a decent outside vista of the city) It does not have to be HUGE size or Zakuul (just using the planet as a example) And if people want to stack Decorations they can buy all the strongholds. The Directories on the Fleet can of course still be 'sort by Planet' Look at other mmos like FFXIV, ESO even LOTRO all have 3 options of residential areas. Thank You and Kind Regards
  12. Maybe trying not to get everything mixed up and actually understand what people are writing. Many people here agree that the current reward system can be and does have improved alternatives. And those who are on different camps on the rewards are agreeing on this point. So i don't much care where you're coming from but i assure you 'insults' and 'kinds of magic' is irrelevant, That way all subscribers can choose something new per reward cycle . the value of the item going up the longer you are a sub. Nice.
  13. OR instead of 'There's no reason for them to go on in life', we can see that... it clearly effects many many other people that's why alot are commenting here on forums making it known. Subscribers wish to complete said mission or have access to subscriber rewards i like the OP idea. It's simple, effective and rewards Subscriber longevity.
  14. This system which by the way is something in place in varies MMO's is exactly what they need to incentive all Subscribers. Those who have invested the time have the rewards first and those who will invest the time and money can also get it too. It's Perfect idea. Seriously excluding your own Subscribers does not help business. Imagine those subscribers that missed out on a month due to real life issues only to find out they can never get said subscriber perks. What do i care if some day down the track a fellow sub has a Darth Hexid it does not hinder my game play why should i hinder theirs.
  15. I say let people have a chance to get items that they don't it does not effect you in any way for them to have those items unless your ego is the size of the moon of course. How selfish is someone to think it's great for them to complete the hk story mission but no one else should have the opportunity to experience it? You did nothing amazing to ''earn'' it some random could sub for 1 time period get it and is no longer a sub vs say those who did sub time and time again. So ''old sub'' argument is false. In fact there is alot more new and recurring subscribers and catering to them is a smart business Move. Why? because they are Active subscribers... It's a video game not your career no one is going to steal your job or your access to those binary rewards. This is purely a subscriber reward and anyone who subscribes gets the reward simple. And not every subscriber will want to use it there's alot of people that are just collectors in case your scared that the fleet will packed with HK . And the HK promo wont be happening every month so again not every subscriber will have it. (I'd like to add this here too)
