  1. That's one of the problems though. The only PVP in this game is the same WZs over and over. I would love it if the PVP could fill this role in TOR but it doesn't. PVP is just as repetitive and boring as the rest of the game.
  2. Pretty much that you'll take what they give you and like it.
  3. If you follow someone around because you know they are under-geared yes you're a jerk. They certainly aren't picking out the guy with no expertise for a fair fight are they? For a challenge? No not that either. There's no denying that this game is full of jerks. Just look at the comments on these boards. Look at the mass exodus of players over the last year. Look at the chat in game. Heck, try to ask a questions and at least half of your answers are ******** in nature. SWTOR=an online daycare center for the most part. If it wasn't the only Star Wars MMO I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.
  4. This has been the most popular choice from what I've seen. You can't just queue into a match to have fun in this game.
  5. Unfortunately this is SWTOR in a nutshell. Even if they did away with expertise that some person (and others like her) would still find a way to be a jerk. This game is loaded with immature jerks and you just can't avoid them. Personally my PVP armor never comes off because I am on a PVP server but even if I were on a PVE server I would still have some expertise gear for this type of situation. Unfortunately, like I said, this game is full of kiddies and jerks so you will never escape this type of mentality no matter what armor you are wearing.
  6. So we fight our own faction now on Ilum? I am stuck at work and haven't been able to check this out and I am confused.

OK I hate to be too hard on the WZs because I did have a lot of fun playing them but you just get burnt out on the same think over and over. It's like plying the same 4 maps in Battlefield for a year. Now if we had open world, Ilum and WZs then think of all the more options that we would have. Yeah you can trade kills and cheat in open world but la dee da we all know this. It's not like people that kill trade or fight club don't get called out for it immediately. If it's against the TOS then people will report them. This game world isn't big enough to hide large scale kill trading. It's not like you don't get easy WZs where you steamroll newbs for basically free point anyway so don't act like open world comms-per-kill would negate some big achievement or something. Dealing with a few cheaters would be preferable than only having one option for Star Wars PVP. I'm not against the WZs because I've had fun in them but they can't be the only PVP option for this game's entire life-span. Something will have to give. Hopefully this patch is a step in the right direction.
  9. Nope. As long as someone can make a buck they will continue to put out related MMOs. With a new series of movies comeing out I almost guarantee a new SW MMO sometime down the road. It will be a while though. This game will be around for a few years.
  10. I will be open minded to the stand-alone movies as long as they don't turn Star Wars into a teen-angst, sparkly vampire type of ordeal. I swear if there is any inkling of a love triangle between a teen-age girl torn between a sensitive Jedi and a bad-boy (yet strangely nonthreatening) Sith I will puke.
  11. What if it turns out he is just a really, really old Ewok?

Wow thanks for the heads up. I didn't even realize that was happening. Maybe my unconscious, inner PVP alert went off the other day.

Well I am an east coaster that somehow ended up on a west coast server so that might have something to do with it. In fact, server deaths have probably had more of an impact that I giving credit for. I finally got a bunch pf PVP gear (and some good PVE gear) and, BAM, server's gone. Switch servers and before I have a chance to get settled I am moved again. I try to come back but now I have to start all over again which doesn't help. I may have to look into another server. On top of that none of the work me and my friends put in on WZs seems to count anymore because now there's ranked warzones. How stupid was it to leave this out at launch if this was the direction they wanted to go? Me and my RL buds had a pretty good squad going but it ended up being for nothing. They're gone and none of what we did seems to matter and this game hasn't even had an xpack yet. Seems backwards to me and I will never understand the appeal of ranked WZs. All they did was come up with a reason to have everyone grind the same zones for a few more months. I stopped finding them fun after the 10000th time. Maybe I should just wait and check out the xpack when it drops.
