  1. I can honestly say Jedi Knights/Warriors give me a serious challenge without intervention. I can handle most other classes, or at least create enough distance to kite them for a little while.
  2. Yes. I can pre-kite, but you don't always have the luxury of initiation in WZs. It's pretty staggering to be honest. If they get the drop there is and was nothing I could do to create distance. Sure if I popped reactive shield I could weather some of his attacks, but he was dealing some serious damage. It's like threading a needle. The window for me to stun him in that case is extremely small if he times he charges right and even if I don't whiff my stun he still has his CC wipe handy. That's a brutal combination for an under-geared Commando healer to deal with. Thanks for the constructive responses.
  3. Jeez. That's a little brutal. Four seconds? I guess there isn't much I can do about that as an under-geared trooper. Is there an internal cooldown? Such as they get four seconds of immunity but only once every x number of seconds? Or do they get that buff each and every time they use force charge?
  4. To give a quick disclaimer, I haven't PvPed much post 1.2. I've had professional obligations that haven't been conducive to game time. I noticed tonight Jedi Knights and Sith Warriors (at least the tanking variant) were completely immune to CC if you tried to hit them while they were charging or in mid-air. I was able to test this a few times in a Voidstar match against the same opponent. His rotation was completely predictable. Force charge, force push, saber throw or force scream and force charge again. When I got up from the force push I'd be mashing my cryo grenade and I swear I caught him twice mid-leap on my screen, but his charge went through and he was free to act upon landing. In both cases his resolve bar wasn't full and it put my cryo grenade on cool down without the desired effect. I don't know much about Jedi Knights or Warriors, do they get a talent that makes them immune to CC when charging? I swear I could knock them back or stun them mid leap pre 1.2.
  5. SWTOR has lost some players and it will lose more...but come on people. Every MMO loses players. It's the nature of the beast. SWTOR isn't a bad game, far from it. It doesn't have enough PvP content to keep me interested but it was a good experience overall. Bioware/EA might have to consolidate servers and that's never a great sign; but it also doesn't mean SWTOR's not a monetary success. Everyone wants their game to dominate, but there is room for more then one great MMO. Even IF SWTOR goes F2P it wont happen over night or next week or next month. Designing a F2P model takes a lot of work I'd imagine. They'd need to figure out what they're willing to sell and how much to sell it for. There is also no in-game microtransation UI implemented as yet. RIFT lost players too, but my guildies and friends are all excited for the expansion and conquest mode. This is Bioware we're talking about here and I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt even though I wont be renewing my subscription.
  6. If you don't see that place will shall not be named as an issue, we have some more pressing problems here....
  7. Snarky. ~.^ I'll humor you with a response. My PvP guild has moved on because of the utter failure to provide World PvP...(I wont say that which shall not be named.) and the lack of more competitive tiers of PvP. Yes, ranked WZs will be released in the next patch (Maybe...); but they've been talking about ranked WZs pre beta. I understand things take time to develop; but this game failed to deliver the meaningful/engaging PvP content to keep my guild and two others that I know of invested for the long haul. I can't comment on the PvE side of things.
  8. Haha! There is room for multiple MMOs. SWTOR wasn't for me, when my sub ends I'll most likely not pick up the game again. Yes, I will be playing GW2, but not because I think SwTOR sucks. I DO think the PvP in GW2 feels a lot better than SwTOR; but it's all personal. If you're sticking with SWTOR, more power to you. I liked the leveling process, but I think this game has had some issues that needed to be addressed sooner. There is only so much you can be sold on concepts before you wonder when it will be released. No need to be a troll. There will be GW2 haters as there were SWTOR haters, but haters are going to hate on something. GW2 is going to be a success and SWTOR is still a success. It's just not shaping out to be a world ending success that everyone thought it would be... and that's okay.
  9. Yes. It is coming in 1.3, but my guild has already moved on. It's a too little, too late scenario. That what I mean when I claim the internet has an attention span of two minutes. I understand that maybe ranked WZs wasn't a priority for SwTOR, but I know of two PvP guilds that have either left this game completely or have diminished down to skeleton crews because they hit the ceiling of the current competitive content. If I wasn't paying a sub, it wouldn't be an issue to be honest. Bioware has not given me anything to be confident about as far as the direction of this game goes. I hate to, but I have to compare their service to RIFT or GW/GW2. The rate at which both Trion and Anet releases updates, content and balances is like night and day with SwTOR. Again. That's my two cents. I think the die hard fans such as yourself will keep this game alive and healthy. It's just not for me and apparently I'm not the only one that thinks that way. No debating will change the fact that SwTOR has lost a good chunk of players. It's a success but not the critical success people had originally thought it would be... I can only comment on my inner circle of guildies and friends...but most of them are going to drop this game like a hot rock when GW2 launches. Heck, a lot of them are getting excited about RIFT's conquest mode which will go live shortly.
  10. I personally think the one major problem SwTOR is having is that they don't always treat this game as a live service. They've worked hard to give us Legacy...but Legacy isn't enough to keep the general masses interested in my opinion. I'm not trying to knock Bioware, EA or this MMO. In-fact I really WANT to love SwTOR; but there is a reason why it's losing subs. The internet has an attention span of two minutes on a good day and I don't think Bioware knows what players want. Legacy is fun, but all of that time and energy would've been better spent adding some of the extra functionality that comes standard with most MMOs, such as higher tiers of competitive play in PvP, group finders (Which wasn't in RIFT right away to be honest.) and chat bubbles!? I'm not an RPer, but RPers have been asking for chat bubbles since beta. Again! I like Bioware a lot, I'm a huge fan of their older titles such as Baldur's Gate, however I have to draw a comparison here. During the first beta weekend of GW2 the roleplay community asked for chat bubbles...by the second beta weekend chat bubbles had been implemented. I'm not trying to say the staff behind SwTOR is lazy; but I think they've put their energy into fleshing out aspects of the game that aren't as important as other aspects. I know I won't play this game any longer when my four month sub ends. But that's just me. I think there is room for MMOs of many shapes and sizes in this world and SWTOR's leveling content and early tiers of PvP left a great impression with me...but they didn't take the right steps to secure my patronage or give me confidence in the direction of this game. But that's just my two cents. If they go F2P I might return to the lands of glowsticks and lasers, but I just don't think this game is worth spending more money on.
  11. I agree completely with the original poster. I'm actually refusing to wear expertise gear on my level 50 Bounty Hunter(I only have three champion pieces anyways...) Until they put in a level 50 bracket. (Something they needed to do one week ago.) I noticed a rather large difference when wearing the expertise gear I do own. Getting matched up against a bunch of 30s and 40s while having a huge advantage isn't my idea of fun. There is no sport in it. I think the level 50 players queuing up (on Ven Zallow anyways) in pre-mades with expertise gear are taking advantage of a noted issue in the current game. It's a pretty sad state of affairs.
