  1. That's not how that works. Dowry are offered as 'compensation for inconvenience', originally a way of offsetting family power imbalances when marrying. If he's offering a dowry to 'whomever marries his cousin' it's because they're desperate for ANYONE to consider this cousin. Taking the dowry and running is as dickish as you can get.
  2. I don't know how many people actually read the missions before sending your crew, but this one doesn't seem right. https://i.imgur.com/bgF77ba.png Tricking a noble into marrying one of your followers, taking the dowry and running? Short of killing a few younglings on the way out, I don't see how that could be any more of a darkside choice.
  3. I'd really like to support the game by buying a blaster pistol from the Cartel Market. Problem is, most of the blasters on the Market and in game look like real world improvised scrapyard firearms. The really dodgy ones that've been hacked together out of woodchips and dented metal plates. The blaster pistols in game literally look like this: https://www.ammoland.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Venezuela-Homemade-Guns-2014-e1473299636694.jpg From memory, the original description for a Bounty Hunter included something to the effect of: "Bounty Hunters often spend more credits on their blasters than most spend on an entire starship." So could we get some blasters that actually look the part please?
  4. Thanks for the answers! I'll look over the video links and see if I can at least dip my feet into Ops before Onslaught is released. It does make me a bit sad that they lowered the difficulty of Ops though. It may have been my guild who were all amazing players, but even at launch we found Ops to be a tad bit too easy compared to other MMOs. Ah well, not sure if I can handle ops as a tank with 400ms ping. We'll see.
  5. Hey folks. Used to play for the first few months of the game and then left along with the rest of the guild after we got bored. As a returning player, I'm basically new at this point since so much has changed. I've done some basic research, but I still have some questions I can't find the answers too. Would appreciate some honest answers. 1: Economic inflation has obviously occurred. The 2m credits I had when I logged off for the last time shortly after launch seems to be a paltry amount now. Roughly how much constitutes a large amount of credits for a single player to have now? 50m? 100m? More? 2: How difficult are the end game Operations and Flashpoints currently? I'm coming from a Heroic/Mythic raid team in World of Warcraft as of last month, so is anyone able to provide comparison, or compared to the original Operations at launch? 3: Are there any Australians still playing? Any end game Australian guilds that raid in AEST or similar timezones? 4: Any new companions to bring on board besides the original base story ones? 6: Can anyone suggest a good, detailed "action plan guide" for new/returning players to go from nothing to Operation ready? ( what to farm and in what order, BiS gear, talents, rotations, etc. Bonus points for Powertech Tank specific ones. ) 5: Why is everyone in Vaiken Spacedock General Chat so angry all the time? Thanks!
  6. And this is relevant when even with all that mitigation you're still taking 5k damage per regular hit on nightmare... How?
  7. I'm abusive to the other people here because they're being giant ******es. People who are ******es to me get treated as ******es back. The only way to deal with them is knifing them in the neck irl. The rules of the board mean nothing, and since I've done everything this game has to offer and I've already unsubbed being banned means NOTHING to me. You on the other hand actually instead of just saying: "Rofl rofl, u noob u dumb dumb u suck go l2p rofl rofl dumb dumb noob noob hurr hurr", you're actually giving some sort of logical and concise reasoning for disagreeing. Even so, there's no legitimate reason not to make a medpac that heals a specific percent of your lifebar for endgame. They have it in PvP for a disturbingly cheap price, they can make one in game too. Or even make it a vendor bought one only useable in OPs, doesn't matter to me.
  8. I see what you did there. Specifically exaggerate what I say and throw it back in my mouth and claim I said it, be a dick and specifically incite and provoke the OP to get a reaction, sit there slapping the refresh button so you can try and get them banned. You're a piece of ****. Go **** yourself.
  9. I've seen plenty of DPS in columi/rakata gear. No DPS has ever had anywhere NEAR 19k hp. Not unless you rip out all your mods and stack endurance and you use the Rakata Fortitude Stim and get a few +endurance skills. Oh and throw in the BH class buff as well. DPS toting 19k hp in PvE gear. Rofl, got any other good ones?
  10. Are you a tank? I have 21k HP, which means I'm in Rakata/Columi gear. Do you have any idea what a 4k heal does for me in an operation when the healer's been stunned or is out of range? *********** nothing. Usually around 17% of my lifebar. At times I have to check a second time to make sure I actually used it because my lifebar barely moved. For you DPS and healers, medpacs are fine it heals at least a third of your lifebar, if not more. Tanks? It does nothing. Like I said, as the tank it's not even worth the global cooldown to use it.
  11. ... No, I'm not talking about any specific class. I'm talking about medpacs for tanks, especially the best medpac (which is crafted) which is why this topic is in the CREW SKILLS FORUM and not the tanking subforum of CLASSES.
  12. Even the Rakata Medpac doesn't heal 20% of a remotely decently geared tank's healthpool. If we can have this for PvP: http://www.torhead.com/item/9jLTZb9/warzone-medpac then there needs to be a PvE version, if only for tanks or only in operations. At this point for solo PvE/FPs/Ops, it's gotten to the point where the Rakata medpac isn't even worth the global cooldown for a tank with 21k hp. And no, shifting the blame onto my healers and saying: "They need to heal better" isn't going to fix this. Better medpac please. Or maybe just remove them entirely from the game. If the best healthpac can't even heal one regular attack from a boss in operations or HM Flashpoints, then there is Sumtingwong with it.
  13. I've been stumbling over this problem ever since I started getting a few pieces of PvP gear on my Powertech tank, and now that I've gotten a few Colomi pieces and I'm pushing 21,000 health, I really, REALLY need a medpac that does a bit more than the Rakata Medpac from Biochem... It only restores 15% of my total health bar, and I'm imagining other raiding tanks are facing the same problem. I know how unbalanced the Rakata Medpac in PvP used to be. Hell, as an 18k hp PvP tank in Huttball 2 weeks into launch, I know full well a 9k heal is way too much for PvP. But I really, really desperately need something a bit more than a 4k self heal in PvE... Perhaps change the Rakata Medpac from a static range heal to a percentage range heal of your total lifepool to make it a bit less pointless for tanks?
  14. I'd love grapple's minimum range to be reduced. Especially in PvP, I'm an ******e Shieldtech PT in Huttball. So many times I find a player next to me deliberately exploiting my grapple deadzone. They output too much DPS for me to handle them, so my only option is to stand on flamevents and yank them in. But they exploit it so that I can't pull them on and they successfully stay outside and that leaves me to unfortunately die.
  15. One of the things with this ability is that at times I'm not sure if I've used it or not... It's a tiny projectile and makes almost no sound, especially in an Ops group, I find myself forced to look at my bar and make sure it's greyed out to ensure that, yes, I actually did use it... Well, that and the fact it could use a bit of work. Either high threat generation or maybe up it to 10 heat dissipated per use. Either one would be wonderful.
