  1. There are a few reasons I unsubed. * Finished my story on main char. Dont really care about other chars enough to finish their story. * Cartel market is slowly becoming P2W shop. With mandatory items needed to upgrade your ship for space missions giving justification to this notion. And now we come to my biggest "gear grinder". New DLC, oh Im sorry, expansion. This is a F2P game, but they still expect me to cough up 10$ over what Im paying as s sub. Can I afford ? Yes I can and its less then two days of lunch money I spend at work. But its not the amount, its the principle. They want a F2P game with cash shop, nothing wrong with that, but they want subs as well, OK I can live with that but on top of all that - pay for a small amount of content we decided will be an expansion instead of a content patch. This isnt Bioware game anymore and it hasent been for a while now. Its EA and their lack of understanding of how MMO markets work. They dont look at long term goal, they look at all the people playing their game for free and its killing them. Well Im sorry EA, but you are killing our game as well. To all those who reordered expansion, I can understand your logic. Is low amount of cash, so who cares. Well minority is us care.
  2. I already canceled my sub. Its not about the amount, its about sending a message. Its a F2P game with subscription plan. So yes I was a sub and bought some CC to indulge myself in cartel packs. But when they ask of me to buy an expansion, with everything else, in a F2P game. Thats just taking it too far. What if I decide to desub at one point ? Will I then buy additional unlocks via CC for expansion I already bought ? Sure its the same now, but it was the only way to save the game. But it seems game is getting on healthy feet again. And then they decided to mess it up once again. As I said, its not the amount that is the problem, its the principle of the thing.
  3. Because I have only 4 Gb of RAM I am unable to use your improvements. But that doesnt mean I do not support your great effort and good work so far. So let me just say - Thank you good Sir. You are a tribute to community.
  4. Right now its - be a sub or just give up. F2P playerbase are NOT freeloaders, like some of you "elitist" think. Hell I spent more money on F2P titles like LOL then most MMOS ( WOW not included ofc ). Yes some restrictions should be made, like 5 dunegons and 5 BGs a week. Thats just fine. But everything else is pure Bulls*it. From XP to dreded hotbars and chars slots - etc. Play it or dont mentality is fine for WOW or EVE or games that are generally on good player base. SWTOR needs F2P players, even if they sub after a 3 month period or just buy one axe from cash shop. Its all revenue. Right now its stock full of returning players that shelled out for "gratis" Cartel coins and wanted to go F2P, pay some extra $ to get some fluff and from that moment on pay when something cool comes into cash shop. Like new cool looking modable chest. That you cant use as F2P player unless you buy unlock as well. Im afraid we will see massive pop drop once subs from returning players go down. Because the game as F2P as barely playable right now. They had their chance of resurrecting an already dead game. Im afraid they blew it unless something changes ASAP.
  5. Devils advocate view of F2P option in SWTOR. http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/367/feature/6913/The-Burden-of-Freedom.html As a paying customer I have with what has been said. I will not play as F2P. When time soon comes, I will simply stop paying and thank EA on good time so far. Having some restrictions and some "bling bling" stuff is all well in my book. But when you hinder my UI, customer support, ability to use items ( orange / purple ), thats when you have taken one step too far . I am trully sad. Because I see many people on any planet I go to these last few days. But as F2P get fed up - Im afraid we will see numbers fall once again.
  6. I dont do super models, but I want them ... I dont do raids, but I want the gear. I dont do sports car racing. But I want a sport car. Wether I need them or not is irrelevant as long as I want them. Get it ?!? Oh and yeah - no P2W plese. As it ruin the game for most.
  7. Red Five, reporting in. Quit 2 months after launch, played beta, and Im back again as a sub Good stuff: some improvements - LFG tool for one. Bad stuff: Someone decided that game was running too good and killed performance with 1.4 patch. You never let me down EA, you never let me down
  8. My IQ droped by 20 points after reading this post ...
  9. I support this idea. Anything to keep this game alive. as long as we who pay the sub get better treatment concerning content / gear availability and NO P2WIN stuff. All in all I like it.
  10. Staying here for 2 reasons. 1. WOW is boring as hell. 2. Nothing better on market and upcoming MMOs feel like letdown even before release. Yes even GW2.
  11. So lets hear it gamer, trolls, people of SWTOR. What are 3 ( three ) things that iritate you the most in SWTOR ? What do you think should change in order to make this game better? Try not to flame too much. Although I know most people must run "Holy Crusade against pagans that have diferent views then me ". For me: 1. No LFD server wide tool. - Just searching for people on specific planet or fleet is iritating at best and, for me, useless. Simple tool would help find PUGs so much easier. 2. No dual spec - As much as there are people that belive dual spec is root of all evil and you should endure your choice, I like to have fun. Im sorry 1337 kids, I just want to find a group and according to their needs be tank or DPS or why not healer or DPS. 3. End game content. - Even though Im not there yet, many of my guildies are. And most of them report lack of endgame. But I suppose this will be fixed as time goes by. This post is simply for all of us to see what bothers most players. From casuals to hard cores that want to be first and best. TL;DR: Go back to school and learn to read if this is too much text for you. Otherwise apply for job at McDonalds and bring me a BigMac menu, hold the spit.
  12. I do them when I feel like it. Takes cca 3 mins to get a grp going. So its really not that hard. Its just that I need to AFK a lot cause of RL. So skip if Im not sure I will have 30+ mins of time. But yeah, fun and easy quests so far with a few challenges if you cant find a healer
  13. I can remember doing this for WOW some time ago ... Sadly I cant test it since my GPU decided to die ( again ). But as OP said - it costs nothing to try. THX for heads up mate.
  14. Like when they post a patch and close servers 11am - 6pm? Or should I say 11:00 - 18:00 ? Or do you see prime time starting at 19:00 ? Because I played few mins ago and server was buys, busy, busy. Someone better tell all of those players they should log off. Because its not prime time yet. Pesky gamers, loging in when its not "prime time".
