  1. Would you mind converting this to 2.4? The only reason I am asking is because of the last comment. I didn't really play 4/6/36 often, but when I knew 2.4 was coming, I started to re-learn it again. This parse was from 2.0 and was in 63/69/72 gear. So when I did my 2.4 test server parse, I had quite a few mistakes in that parse, and also the additional HIB damage didn't exist either. They stealthed in that change last minute... Maybe someone else can step up and provide some parses? I know I could easily beat my 2790 value, I just don't feel like playing the game anymore. I just need a long break. http://www.torparse.com/a/428432/time/1379474209/1379474513/0/Overview Forgot to mention - This thread is very valuable... I am really surprised it doesn't get more attention. Anyhow, it is appreciated from at least one VG.
  2. This parse was done on the test server after the changes were made to Pyro... It is actually lower than my pre-2.4 parse that I did about 2 weeks before it launched. Anyhow, I only did two parses with Pyro on the test server. 63/69 gear mostly, a handful of 72 items. http://www.torparse.com/a/393783/time/1377127699/1377128031/0/Overview Anyhow, it would be cool to see this in your spread sheet. I am losing interest in the game, which is why I am referencing this parse... I don't really have the drive to farm new gear and parse further. Not sure, but 2.4 was a letdown for me and has nothing to do with our class. Edit ** 4/6/36 spec. Full Pyro. 2790 DPS.
  3. I can fill this in. To clarify, this was actually my character Blackbox, it was reported on the leaderboards incorrectly because I accidently type in Drekkin when posting (I was also parsing on my commando earlier that night) I filled out an AMR profile on the leaderboards. Basically, I am a mix of 63 (PVP armoring set bonus), 69 (enhancements) and 72. Blackbox - Vanguard - Assault - 4/6/36 Torparse AMR
  4. Doh! I typed in my wrong character. Name is Blackbox. Sorry... I was parsing on my Commando that night too and just made a mistake.
  5. I didn't quite make the list, which is ruled by hybrid - Was just a few DPS shy, but anyhow, I figured you could add this to the Honorable Mention DPS area. Drekkin - Vanguard - Assault - 4/6/36 - 2817 Torparse AMR
  6. Small upgrade last night. Still a mix of 63/69/72 - If I don't make the list, please put me in the bottom section since I am representing a spec that cannot currently compete with Hybrid on the operations dummy. Character Name <Guild Name>: Blackbox <Legendary Guild> Character Class: Vanguard Character Spec: Assault (4/6/36) DPS: 2803 @ 300 Seconds - 22:16:48 - 22:21:48 Torparse Link: http://www.torparse.com/a/428432/time/1379474208/1379474508/0/Overview
  7. Character Name <Guild Name>: Blackbox <Unguilded> Character Class: Vanguard Character Spec: Assault (4/6/36) DPS: 2752 @ 300 Seconds - 20:01:26 - 20:06:26 Torparse Link: http://www.torparse.com/a/425834/time/1379293286/1379293586/0/Overview
  8. This is pretty accurate... Funny thing is the the VG is very competitive UNTIL L55... After that, it seems everyone can outheal the burst damage you do. 2.4 should provide some assistance overall, though not enough to bring the class up to some of the other power houses.
  9. I found IR - > HIB -> IP -> HIB is a good starting rotation. Sometimes you need two IPs after your first HIB, but you will always get it on your second IP. If the fight starts from 30m you can HS -> HIB -> <should have ran within range to do an IP> IP - > IR - > HIB and so on. The 4 GCD rule is pretty simple to follow. It takes some time to memorize, but once you do you almost never have ammo management issues and you will proc your HIB every 6 to 6.5 seconds. A good idea to parse a few minutes and take the total time of your parse and divide it by the number of your HIB's to see if you are following a decent rotation. If you have more than 7.5 seconds, you are consistently wasting an entire GCD. Also, 6K shots should be pretty common in PVE. In a mix of 69/72 gear, my largest hit is 7500ish. I bet that a VG with the 8% bonus to HIB damage, along with stacking only power should probably break 8.5K in PVE with a relic proc and clicky in use.
  10. To be clear, this parse was taken on the 21st of August, after the change to AP Damage, IP Proc Rate, but before they made changes to the defensive cooldowns. So, technically, it should still be an accurate representation, unless stealth nerfs took place after this. Since parsing is a time consuming process, I have no plans to test and see if stealth changes took place. FWIW I parsed with the intent to give the community accurate information by giving it my best in the three specs I tested. If I made anything more than a minor mistake, I would not use that parse, because one could easily manipulate the results. I also provided expanations for why my build setup was surpassing my Tactics build and that if I switched my gear around to an all power based build and switched out the set bonus to the 8% damage to RS, we'd like have a tie on the dummy. Edit: I have two L55 VG's and an almost L55 PT... So I somestimes accidently reference the mirror abilities in te case of rail shot... Despite us being near the back of the pack for DPS, I find we are competitive enough in PVE. The stygma of a PT DPS is actually causing more issues than their results in a given operation. People point to these threads and think PT's and VGs are not viable. That isn't true at all. They are NOT top dog, but they are viable. Regardless, the VG/PT is my favorite class to play. I'd love them to be buffed, but I also don't want them mis-represented by under performers.
  11. You must not have been looked that hard. I have posted this a few times and was part of the discussion. I did 2790 on my first attempt, and my second attempt was 2750 for 5 minute durations. I only parsed it twice. You can view this for yourself by clicking on the link and viewing both parses for full tree Pyro. You can also see I am not full 72 gear. http://www.swtor.com/community/showpost.php?p=6682647&postcount=126
  12. So let me get this straight... You can Demo Round, HIB, IR and Proc Plasma cell? Amazing that I seem to run out of talent points even attempting such a feat. This isn't about class warfare anyway, the only two classes I care about are Commandos and Vanguards. Lets not bring Commandos into this, I'd rather nothing bad happen to them.
  13. As much as I want to see VG's buffed, this would be overpowered, in my opinion. I just logged on my VG on the test server to bring some numbers here. My VG is decently geared, but not even full 72's. Granted, this is PVE gear, so PVP may drop a bit in raw output, but could potentially do more damage to other players due to expertise. Anyhow... 3203 Aim 1040 Power 1442.4 Tech Bonus Damage AP Tool Tip Damage Damage: 3679 - 3793 Kinetic Damage and 2176 With the proposed method by the OP, it would basically be trading elemental DoT damage of 2176 for 3109 kinetic damage, as to balance this out to PVE, I used a 30% armor reduction. But, I seem to think operational bosses were raised to 35%, but I could be mistaken. Anyhow, still the numbers would look close to... AP Tool Tip Damage (OP) Damage 6788 - 6902 Now, with the bonus 30% critical multiplier and a potential 75% base critical multiplier, we could be being seeing 14,149 hits on a zero armor target, but since that really cannot exist, we could pretend we are fighting a sage or something with a low armor of 22%, so ... 11,036. Overpowered? Maybe not overpowered, but that is a ridiculous amount of damage when you can follow this up with an HIB and have the target burning with IR. What happens when you stack power instead or gear levels progress? Now, if you say, just add the DoT damage to Kinetic without increasing it, you will negatively impact PVE DPS in most cases where a DoT is applied intelligently. Hey look, I'd like it buffed more too, I just don't think this is the way to do it. I'd rather see a slight increase to HIB (500 base or so).
