  1. Put in the work, do the grind, like most of us have had to do. You can't expect a handout everytime Bioware add something new to the game.
  2. I have had a good think about where EAware maye be going with these server merges and I think I can see where they are headed with this......and I may jsut be a wee bit scared "The idea of many Servers existing at a time was standard for thousands of years. Over time, this caused great conflict" "A member of the Bioware development team, believed that there was a better way to strengthen the Servers. In 2012/2013 earth time, he unleashed a thought bomb, a focus of the destructive power of the dark side, on the player base. This act destroyed the current active servers and the many subscribers who fought against this." As the last of the Servers, Bioware established the title Super Mega Fookin' outstanding Server and created the Rule of Two. Under this tradition, only two Servers could exist at a time: an EU and a US Server. The culmination of the less populated servers training was to kill the higher populated server and take it's place, training her own server/subscribers/f2p's. In this way, the Server line would only continue to grow more powerful Ladies and gentlemen, I give you....The Rule of Two....think about it people! *disclaimer Some of the information above may be slightly distorted for my own personal amusement!
  3. The Banner for CE account owners (myself included) should read "I bought the CE and all I got was this lousy banner...well thats not exactly true but you know what I mean, it feels like I got nothing, granted there were some digital items but quite frankly I am disappointed with them and to be honest I havent even read the book or opened the statue that came with the CE...AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE FOOKIN' VENDORS!!" The DDE Owners Banner should read " This is a banner, although not as awesome as the CE banner, it is a banner none the less, I would also like to make it clear on this banner, that I am not upset about how awesome the CE banner is, I am just happy I have my own banner" On a more serious note, they should make the banners craftable, but to acheive the schematic you need to buy the CE edition again, entering the 2nd code will allow you access to a very rare drop of said schematic, once this schematic is obtained you will then need to buy another copy of the CE to allow you access to the materials needed to craft the schematic. Ah what do I care??? BANNERS FOR ALL!!!!
  4. If you can take the time to type up such a lengthy response to posts being removed why can't you or one of your co-workers make some sort of comment on the subject at hand?
  5. I've already posted in other threads on this subject but it seems Bioware are intent on closing them all down so we can all gather here and complain with no constructive response from the powers that be. A couple of questions I have asked (and have no doubt been asked by many otherS), Why did Bioware make the decison to allow so many transfers to the ToFN? Will there be a resolution to these server queues or are Bioware just waiting until people have had enough and cancel their subs? Please understand Bioware, I like this game, I really want it to grow and become the MMO we all want it to be but even I have my limits and I know I speak for most of my guild when I say that we will not keep paying for a game where we only get a couple of hours ingame time due to these excessive queues.
  6. I'm trying to get ingame now, an estimated time of well over an hour, I started on this server and to be honest I cannot understand why Bioware made the decision to allow so many other servers to tranfer to the ToFN, I understand that people were frustrated with dead servers but whoever made the call to open up so many transfers need a good boot in the arse! Surely it would've made more sense to have 2, maybe 3 busy European PVP servers instead of 1 overcrowded and now, thanks to the latest patch, buggy, laggy and privvy to crashing server
  7. SWG Sever: Farstar Guild Name: TJO SWtOR Server: Tomb of Freedon Nadd Guild Name: TJO
  8. Why? It sure as hell beats having to listen to the missus moaning about one thing or another! She has Coronation Street, Desperate Housewives and other drivel....I have an MMO, all fair if you ask me ..and to pitch in about the OP, I played SWG for 6 years on Farstar, I loved it, mostly, there was aspects of the game that were sh*te but the housing/crafting and social aspect of the game were 2nd to none. In saying that, I do like SWTOR but not once did I see this as a replacement/SWG2, just treated it as a whole new game...which it is...obviously...I'll go now
  9. If you leave after 30 - 40 seconds how do you know the Republic side go on to lose the match?
  10. I'm also on the same server as the OP. The PVP situation is still in it's infancy, I have tried to talk to players that are new to the scene, some have played MMO's with PVP before and for others it is their 1st time...so, I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, over time I would hope that once people learn their own class and eventually, learn how the other classes function, we will see some progression in PVP....then again, some just like to run in and smack the opposition, either way, I still enjoy myself.. I have to add, I'm far from a PVP elitist, I've played a good few MMO's and always enjoyed PVP but like any new game, I take my time to understand the dynamics (if there are any) to each class/PVP area etc....and regardless of what I think I know, there are plenty out there who are just better at what they do. I did have one warzone where I had no keybind to pass (I switched it in for a previous warzone and didnt switch back), now I barely staggered over the line but the rage coming from some other players was cracking me up....if I took the time to try and reply to them I would never have made it over the line! As stated in previous posts, I find a huge difference in doing warzones with Guildies using TS, it makes a fundamental difference to matches when there is communication...and that there is the key word "communication"..not just "PASS THE F**K*N BALL"..."OMG you f***** noob!! Why didnt you pass"...or "*** are you doing heading to the middle turret?!?! you noob!!"...then more often than not, the person typing these contructive messages leaves the warzone early, so instead of having the chance there to give any advice they leave and the match is usually handed to the Imps....and on more than a few occasions, I have been in warzones with the "I LIKE TO SHOUT BECAUSE i'M UBER AND YOU'RE ALL NOOBS" types...and more often than not their performance is mediocre at best. Anyway, some folk are still learning, some folk may not get it...but ideally, a quick bit of advice at the start and a nudge or 2 during the match goes a long way, granted, there are times when people just dont listen and the rush of blood they get while PVP'ing is enough to render them useless...but in the end, it's a game, you can always win the next match.
  11. Hi folks, My toon on Farstar was Mailliw, from the much loved (sarcasm) TJO guild, myself and a few guildies are now based on Tomb of Freedon Nadd. (New toon is called Malley!..original eh!) I hope you're all enjoying the game....nice to see a few familiar names.
  12. I went with "Cocidius"... The TLDR version: "Cocidius was a deity worshipped in northern Britain"..thank you Wiki
  13. There are too many posts in this thread for me to read all the way through so forgive me if this has been mentioned before. Myself (and my guild) were placed on the Freedon Nadd server, although queue times state 1hr 45mins to 2hrs I can assure you that I have to wait a hell of a lot longer than that to actually get ingame. Now, you mention the fact that we should roll toons on other servers, that raises the issue of the guild becoming fragmented and that is something we do not want. You, Bioware created this problem by placing us onto this server, your selling point was aimed at guilds that wanted to play/group and fight together or against each other....so we bought into that, another couple of guilds from SWG were placed on the same server...now we are in a situation where half the guild have levelled toons over lvl20 and the other half want to jump ship....and an opposing guild have already started on another server. Dont get me wrong, I love the game...but this queing issue is pure sh*te. I truly hope this issue is resolved sooner rather than later.
