  1. Hello all, I just recently resubbed after a 13 month (I left around 1.4) hiatus in which I finished law school and studied for and passed the Bar Exam. I am looking for a guild of adult casual PVE players who like to run raids and what not and would like a dps combat sentinel on the team. I am irreverent but respectful. I am lvl 51 and working on Makeb right now. My gear is all around lvl 140-46 (I had mostly black hole items when I stopped). I am a bit rusty but know the games mechanics and I am starting to remember some of the boss mechanics. I do not pvp at all. Anyway, if you are looking for another dps Jedi Knight to fight for the fate of the galaxy with, hit me up. I would love to find a large guild that raids often. Thanks, Lopan
  2. Hello all, I realized i posted this original message in the wrong space and do not know how to delete it... ooops.
  3. You hit the nail on the head right here I think..... I absolutely love this game right now. Since they implemented a group finder tool and server mergers, I have been able to see all those flashpoints that I was unable to see a few months ago. I have had the greatest time trying to score new commendations to gear up my Sentinel. So much fun! But..... these losers that play video games 10 hours a day, 6 days a week, will always be unhappy. I play a couple days a week for about 2-3 hours a sitting. Works out to between 6-8 hours a week. Now, if you really have nothing better to do than play a video game every day of your life... chances are you are not going to be happy about anything. Go outside, find some friends, have a few drinks, take a walk, find a fulfilling career, go back to school, join a club..... I mean, Jesus, video games every day of your life? Pretty sad. Play like a normal human being and there will be plenty of stuff to do at lvl 50.
  4. Who said anyone is right or wrong? Where in my post do I say the "complainers" are wrong to have that opinion? All I was saying is that I think it sucks because it might drive people away. I would have to say that your comment is pretty void of substance. You are trying to say that everyone has a right to their own opinion. Well yeah, duh... That would be like saying, "You know... these forums here are a place for people to express their opinions on the game." You might as well just say, "You know... The sky is blue." Or, "You know... 2 +2 = 4" I mean, some things are so obvious I can't really understand the point of stating them.
  5. I agree, Skyrim is awesome. That being said, 20 hours?!?!? I can't see how this is accurate in the least. I usually play 2-3 days a week, like 2-3 hours each time. I have probably spent 40 hours or so at level 50 and still haven't seen all the flashpoints or run a single operation. I am dps, and sometimes it takes awhile to find a group, but... I dunno, I seem to find lots of stuff to keep me busy (now that there are actually people playing). I digs it! Now, off to rule the universe from beyond the grave! Indeed!
  6. Hmmmm. Side note - Any Chinese girls with green eyes play swtor? Want to join my guild? It's all good, no funny stuff I promise!
  7. Absolute nonsense and definitely not the norm..... Even if you have seen the cutscenes a million times, you at least have a chance to use the bathroom, light a smoke, take a shotskies, etc. I don't space bar through anything, and if someone kicked me out of the group because of that.... well.... I guess I would take solace in the fact that they are complete and utter losers. I mean, really, total losers. I can't even imagine their social interactions in real life.... sad and pathetic.
  8. Ok.. So, I think it really sucks that all the news articles point to swtor going to free-to-play in the near future. I was here since the beginning, but quit after a few months because of small server pops, and the inability to group for anything. Flash forward to July... Boop, beep, boop ----------> I am loving this game. Every night I choose to play, I get to see a new flashpoint or operation and get to score new gear. Just tonight, in the fleet, a group formed to go take down a world boss. I mean.... I haven't had this much fun in a computer game since Willy Beamish. So, double you tee eff???? Everyone is complaining on these forums, so it is obvious there might be people who read this and think twice about subscribing. That sucks the donkey dizzle. I love this game and hope to see it survive. I only played WoW casually in the past, but this has to be better than that???? right??? Or at least on par. So I don't know what I am trying to say. We can all choose to support what games we wish to choose to support, but... swtor got really damn good, and I will be saddened if it doesn't work out and slowly peters away and dies....
  9. I can tell you why I am not resubscribing after this free month ends (and I barely play now.... once a week if that). I do not enjoy pvping at all. My old guild only ran ops on Fri-Sat and I do not play video games on Fri-Sat nights. (I'm not going to talk bad about anyone that chooses to spend their weekend nights playing a video game, but I could not imagine spending my Fri-Sat nights at my computer.) So... I quit my guild (very nice people, I could just never find a group for fps/ops). I posted a LF guild message in my server forum almost 2 weeks ago. 67 people have read my message and I have not gotten a single response/message. When I do log on, there are never enough people to get a group together. I'm talking fps/hm's/or even just heroic dailies. I am also not on one of the less populated servers. There is absolutely nothing to do in the game right now except stand around, yell for people to get a group together for an hour, fail to get a group together, then log off.... if you are not into pvp like myself.
  10. Really? You "can't understand why people who quit need to feel they have to proclaim their reasons to the world."?? I bet if you think really, really hard... you will be able to come up with a reason. I promise, it isn't a trick. Just give it some thought and you will realize the obvious reason.
  11. It hasn't proven to be such an "easy fix" as you suggest.... Most players and their guilds, that I have spoken to, are active on Friday and Sat nights.... If the price to play this game is staying in on a Fri and Sat night..... well, you lost me. I love video games, and I don't have any ill feelings towards people that choose to spend a huge amount of time playing video games. But as for me.... I am not going to spend my weekend inside at my computer. If that is the cost, I am out.
  12. My bad.... do you know if there is a way to move the thread? If there is, I will gladly do it. I wasn't quite sure where it should go, so I just put it in general.
  13. I just wanted to post the reasons that I am unsubscribing from swtor. This may have been said before, I am not sure. I also want to say that I have completely enjoyed my experience with swtor, and am 100% happy that I was a part of the game since launch. I have just come to a point where I am getting nothing from the game, so I have decided to quit. No hard feelings, and I hope bioware and swtor continue to be profitable and thrive in the future! Much love! The only reason I am quitting: I cannot find anyone to group with for end-game ops / hm fp's / etc. I do not pvp, but still have not been able to find anyone for endgame pve. I am in a spectacular guild, full of really cool people, but it is still hard to find people with the same schedule as me to run end game situations. I do not play on Friday and Saturday (so I know that right there makes it a bit harder to find others). Frankly, I couldn't imagine spending Friday or Saturday night playing a video game, but to each their own.... Also, I am (supposedly) on a fairly active server (Corellian Run), with 100+ people at peak times..... Still... not a single word from anyone about grouping for anything...... I really dig the game, but I just can't play it anymore. I have run the dailies a hundred times. I'm totally done with those. There is nothing more I can do. I don't know enough people to be a part of an active guild that raids during my schedule, and there is no group finder tool to help with pugs. I am S O L as they say.... So.... I love the game and hope it succeeds, but I can no longer be a part of it. There is absolutely no justification for me paying a monthly fee to do the same daily quests over and over. Much respect to bioware, I thouroughly enjoyed the last 5 months..... but that about sums it up.
  14. I am confused by the op's point? Swtor is my first mmo, and I am on a pve server because i did not want to have to worry about pvping when I did not feel like doing so. I always thought pvp servers were specifically for world pvp? Everything I have read said this event has dramatically increased the fun and viability of world pvp (the whole reason people roll on pvp servers). So.... I'm missing something here. It sounds like the op just wants his/her own custom type of server that will allow him/her to pvp where/when he/she wants. Maybe that is it. Heck, I am totally down for that type of server. Do you think BW would design a new type of server that would let me (and only me) determine where/when/how pvping could occur. That would be pretty sweet to have that power! Forget it, I change my mind. I am now with the op! Give me a custom server where DrDavidLopan has all the power over pvp mechanics!
