  1. Hello, I recently returned to the game after a break of over a year and noticed my commando's gun is still suffering from a very annoying visual bug. The top half (the barrels) of the Primordial Assault Canon Besh always disappears in cinematics - and extremely often (= it happens every few minutes while actively playing) out of cinematics as well. This bug was around for a long time even over a year ago: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=769919 This is an even older thread from 2 years ago mentioning visual problems: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=661050 I know this isn't game breaking, but it is incredibly annoying and the gun is a cartel market item people have paid real money for. A fix would be very much appreciated by now, as would be any official response. Thanks in advance.
  2. Aye, this is what she posted on reddit about it: How much content we will get will depend heavily on how much combat and exploration there will be. Will we finally be able to explore some serious planet the size of Hoth or Tatooine again? Will new chapters post launch come with new areas? How large and hard are the missions going to be? So basically, nothing can be said yet about the size of the chapters. At least an hour's worth of dialog and cutscenes per chapter doesn't sound too bad.
  3. I agree completely, OP, and very nicely worded! My first thought when I saw the player housing teaser was that this is a very cool feature, but (for a large part) targeting a group of players that has been largely ignored: the roleplayers. I'm afraid many of these people have already left because SWTOR never did much to help building community, plus the fact that they've taken a very large step back with the storytelling. I think this game faces two mayor problems: 1.) Lack of focus: we get a little bit of everything, but not much of anything. 2.) Abandoning of its own origins and design philosophy: almost no story telling to speak of since launch (and yes, Hutt Cartell were the last remnants of what was made pre-launch). Currently, I have a hard time telling anyone what the strong points of this game are compared to other MMOs. If I had to mention something, it would still be the story part, but they have left that untouched for a long time now, while keeping everyone busy with cool items in the Cartel Market packs, small areas with dailies and reputation grinding (Czerka "planet", Oricon, events like bounty hunting and rakghoul) and nightmare modes of old operations. I think I'm a pretty loyal player (after almost 5 years of Lotro this is only my 2nd MMO) and I love Star Wars and the Old Republic setting, but I have cancelled my subscription renewal a few days ago because I'm not really expecting much of anything with this game at the moment. I'll keep watching this game though and hopefully there will be a renewed focus in the near future. This is a Bioware game after all, so Bioware: do what you do best! You seem to be listening to the Dragon Age fans after making some mistakes with DA2, I hope you can bring this game back to its roots as well.
  4. Great to have this poll, I prefer numbers over a contest of who can shout the loudest for what they think is best for the game. I am glad to see class stories are doing so well. For me it's always been the best selling point of this game and what makes it different from other MMOs. Rolling alts has never been so fun as it is in this game. I think the developers originally intended for people to want to see all the class and spend some time on that in stead of endlessly grinding the endgame. At the very least it seems now that this wasn't such a crazy idea after all. Though I have my doubts it will happen, I hope that resources will ben spent again on new chapters in the story. Apart from voting for class stories I also selected planets and mini-games. With only Makeb and some daily areas (only Oricon was somewhat ok as an area, IMO), we have seen very little new landmass added to the game, compared to some other MMOs. Mini-games were very nice additions to the original KOTOR games and could do so well in a multiplayer environment. Do something with these Nar Shaddaa casinos, please!
  5. That music is from the Revenge of the Sith soundtrack. I'll try to find the specific track this is from. Edit: ok, found it. The name of the track is "Anakin's Betrayal", no. 4 on the official soundtrack. Here's a youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=letZnkZG5Vo
  6. Same here, cannot get to character selection screen... been trying for 30 mins now.
  7. I have some of the same problems (no PVP ones since I don't do that) and I can add to that: * unable to get items from ingame mail Right now when I'm trying to load a character I'm on loading screen for several minutes without the progress bar moving. Then the bar starts moving but I'm kicked back to character selection screen instead of appearing in game. * Edit: Progenitor server also
  8. Actually, I wouldn't spend any planetary coms on yourself anymore on lvl 55. I would use those and even classic coms on your companions and since you're a juggernaut your healer companion would be an excellent candidate for the first companion you get some new gear for. A healer companion with decent gear really makes a big difference and makes most H2 quests (which are sometimes needed to complete the weekly quest in an area) soloable. Puting that gear on yourself is pretty useless, since in no time you will get better gear from drops in flashpoints and the basic/elite/ultimate coms. Also, don't be afraid to spend some money on the GTN, you can find some pretty good purple lvl 54/55 earrings/implants there.
  9. I'm not American, so I could be wrong, but I'l still make a guess for a cool pet... Justicar Section?
  10. It has to be Jarg & Sorno... funniest boss(es) in MMO history: "Now I'm mad!" - "Not as mad as me!" "Time for plan B!" - "Plan B? How about plan C?" - "Plan D." Lol, I still chuckle every time I get to them
